System Requirements
An Eclipse installation, based on Eclipse 2020-09 or newer, on Windows or Linux as required by the IAR products.A pre-built Eclipse distribution including a Java runtime is available in the Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers package. Alternatively a custom installation can be performed via the Eclipse installer.
IAR Embedded Workbench (EW) (the IAR Eclipse plugins do not include the compiler or debugger itself). The IAR Build Tools (BX) variants are also supported.
Java Runtime Environment, version 11 or later, as needed to run Eclipse itself. Recent Eclipse versions include the latest Java runtime LTS version, currently Java 17: see https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse/Installation.
