  • Navigating DEI in Urban Classrooms

    As DEI initiatives face increased scrutiny, educators seek a path forward. Nowhere is this path more necessary than in urban schools that face unique challenges to provide a curriculum that addresses the needs of racially and economically diverse student populations. In the latest issue of TEACH magazine, Floyd Beachum, COE professor of Educational Leadership, outlines his thoughts on the challenges educators face and where we can go from here.

  • Gamification Engages Students in Math Learning

    Zilong Pan and his co-authors recently published a featured article in Phi Delta Kappan outlining the benefits of gamification in math learning. The authors outline how incorporating a math-based game can improve learning outcomes for elementary students.

  • Student Spotlight: Ella Stemmer

    In anticipation of Joy in Education Day with Lehigh Athletics, we’re taking this opportunity to celebrate COE student Ella Stemmer. Stemmer graduated with a behavioral neuroscience degree from Lehigh in May. She is currently pursuing her M.Ed. in Teaching and Learning.

  • Gilden Awarded Grant to Study Neurodiversity in Schools

    Eliza Gilden, a doctoral student in the School Psychology program, has received a Society for the Study of School Psychology (SSSP) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Dissertation Grant Award. Professor and Acting Dean Robin Hojnoski will serve as Gilden's faculty mentor.
