His experience is evidenced by the Blue Dolphin award for the best marketing strategy of 2015 in the position of CMO at Dáme jídlo. He has more than 15 years of experience in marketing.

Karel is a leading expert in email marketing with over 15 years of experience. He regularly shares his expertise at leading technology and emailing conferences. He is the founder and mastermind behind the Email Machine email marketing platform. During his career, he has held strategic positions in technology companies and his own IT start-up, giving him unique insight into technology and its practical applications. He has also worked as a strategist in a media agency, where he led successful campaigns for brands such as Notino, Astratex, Vodafone, ČSA and Generali Pojišťovna.

Karel Koupil and his team begin developing a simple e-mailing application for Parfums (now Notino). Over the following years, the application is refined and a new client, Astratex, comes on board.
We decided to transform the application into a fully-fledged product and enter the market. Although we faced competition from established players, we saw entering the market as an opportunity. Existing platforms had their own specific problems, which gave us a potential advantage.


Karel Koupil, together with Michal Zámec and Jakub Hemerk, found Email Machine as a platform for email marketing. Within a short period of time, we are sending approximately 100 million emails per month.
Our client portfolio includes DámeJídlo, Nespresso, Nestlé, Generali Pojišťovna, Kosmas, discount portals and a whole range of e-shops. We are also expanding outside the Czech Republic to Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Romania.


We are beginning the acquisition preparation process. We are also working on improving UX, developing statistics, reporting, and an add-on for Shoptet.
The platform is acquired and Michal Finta buys a majority stake in the company. Karel continues to be involved in all other significant innovations, particularly in the areas of user experience (UX) and reporting.
