What you get

We provide vehicle stock, annual mileage, activity shares, average speeds, emission factors and emissions for all major pollutants, both regulated and non-regulated, as well as GHGs and energy consumption. We provide statistical data for the years from 1990 up to the latest historical year and projected data up to 2050 following the most significant trends worldwide. The data are compatible with the latest COPERT vehicle classification.

37 countries are included: EU27, UK, EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland), Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey.

A major update has been performed in COPERT data, taking into account all recent statistical information available. Main updates compared to previous versions:

• COVID effect on sales, activity and emissions
• Integrates new vehicle categories that expected to play important role in future transportation (e.g. HDT BEV)
• Calculation considering the expected efficiency improvement of the vehicles (projected years)
• Detailed energy breakdown export available
• Consistency of fuel consumption with national submissions in UNFCCC on a per vehicle category level
