Because it was asked of me. XDDDD I really should do a separate fic with blurbs about scenes like this.

I like to think Denki was relentless in his questions and over-explaining his motives in a way that came off as excuses to tease.
Bakugou couldn't leave the situation, obviously—he had to shower and remove his costume—but he wished he could, pacing around the locker room and trying to storm off before he blows his friend up to kingdom come. He knows the Dunce Face isn't trying to come off as ridiculing and mean, but the pin-prick jabs of retelling just has his anger fuming higher and higher and he just wont stop.
Even at the shower stalls Denki wouldn't relent his mindless chattering, even though at that point the other boys told him he should probably chill out. They had noticed Bakugou literally steaming—ready to choke him out—barely holding back his growing anger. The signs were obvious to anyone with eyes.
Finally, Denki says something stupid. Maybe it's a nonchalant, "God, what? Do you actually actually like her or something?" Or a jab about him lightening up around his "bros" when they're trying to be friendly—just doing things guy friends do—like blowing off steam after a horrific situation like they just been through.
And that's when Bakugou just loses it. He takes a swing that barely misses before Kirishima has him in a full nelson—the hardening hero is quick to act, knowing his straw-blonde friend was a thread away from igniting the entire locker room up in an explosion, eyes carefully watching the exchange as it happened near the line for the showers he was waiting in.
It's the same ignited anger that mirrored Bakugou's threats on the bus. It's the blood red he can't see through—nothing but anger festering all cohesive thoughts aside for his retribution.
How dare he??
He's somehow managed to get Denki in a chokehold after escaping the redhead, and it takes Sero and Kirishima both to pry his tight hands off of the golden-blonde, trying to calm him down, trying to drag him towards the cold showers so he could cool off and not commit manslaughter on their watch.
"Think of your record, man!" Kirishima is shouting out, trying to get through to him. "You'll get in so much shit, bro!"
"I'll fuckin' kill you!" Bakugou is shouting, snarling, teeth bared as he's dragged away from the other blonde (and just barely, as Kirishima can use his hardening quirk to lessen the furious warmth that's covered Bakugou's sparking palms).
Sero is tugging Denki back towards the lockers as far away from him as he could, out of sight, panting from the exertion in his muscles, telling Denki he's an idiot and should stop picking fights because "what the hell, man?!"
Denki, of course, is at a loss. Completely clueless what set his friend off, and pouting, rubbing his aching bruises, upset that Bakugou just took everything too seriously.
Kirishima decides the manliest option is to stand guard in front of Bakugou's shower stall—in an attempts to keep both of his friends safe from one another, even if it's at the expense of having to keep wearing his sweaty and dirty hero gear.
It might have worked, too, if after Bakugou hadn't made an aggressive march out of the locker rooms when he was done in the showers, not even bothering to dry off, not bothering with anything besides the ice cold water knocking some sense into him and dressing as quickly as he could into his normal uniform wear.
He storms out into the hallway, out of the locker room, where Kirishima tries to catch up to him—to make sure he's okay and to see where on earth he's rushing off too.
"Need to take a fuckin' walk," Bakugou growls out to his redheaded friend, shoving the concerned hand away from his shoulder and making his way down the length of the hallway where he disappears behind a corner.
Mina is coming out of the girl's locker room at that point, combing her fingers through her damp curly locks of pink hair, when she sees Kirishima in his hero gear, sighing exasperatedly in the hallway.
"...What happened?" She blinks, curiosity peaked.
Kirishima begins to explain, but doesn't get a chance to get into deeper details because Denki and Sero are both walking out of the locker room then, in hopes of making it back to the 1-A classroom, and Kirishima is not about to let them run back into Bakugou just yet.
Mina puts the pieces together—with some clues and short explanations from Kiri—and it's her who grabs the golden-blonde by the ear in tight fingers and tugs hard, dragging him for the classroom, ready to stage an intervention, ready to let him know you can't treat others in such a mindless way.
And of course we know what happens next. 😌
