We built long-term capability by training a generation of researchers, developing facilities, and embedding knowledge that will sustain Australia’s quantum future.
Engaging with the community
We made quantum visible and accessible. Through school programs, public talks, science festivals, and the National Quantum and Dark Matter Road Trip, EQUS inspired tens of thousands of students, educators, and community members, sparking excitement and understanding of quantum technologies.
Equity, diversity & inclusion
We championed diversity in the research workforce, creating opportunities across gender, cultural background, and career stage — strengthening the culture and capability of Australian quantum research.
Influencing policy and government
We helped shape Australia’s national quantum agenda, influencing funding, policy, and long-term strategy to ensure that quantum research and talent remain central to the nation’s innovation priorities.

Our Translational Research Program fostered entrepreneurial thinking and collaboration with industry, inspiring similar initiatives across Australia and helping discoveries move from lab to real-world impact.
