Thanksgiving 2011

Trying to post a bunch of pics to blogger is such a pain.  So sorry if these are out of order.  For Thanksgiving this year we went up to Utah.  After a 6-hour drive (the babies were pretty good) we stopped in St.George for a few days.  Gabe loves visiting his grandparents!  It was fun going to the Festival of Trees.  Gabe really liked the Train Tree and I liked the Phantom of the Opera Tree.

Then we stopped by Provo.  We ate at GoodWood Barbeque and went to the Bookstore, where I bought Gabe and Elisa BYU shirts.  We looked around Provo, noted all the new stores and restaurants, and reminisced about our no-kid days.

Then we all drove up to Sandy to have Thanksgiving at Erik's Aunt's (Karen) house.  It was nice that Erik's cousin's had kids for Gabe to play with.  We all enjoyed the yummy food!

The Friday after Thanksgiving we all enjoyed hanging out at my grandparent's house with Lisa and Eric and Aaliyah.  My grandparent's and my dad's family put together a big Thanksgiving dinner, along with a program, which I found out I was on the list to play the piano.  How nice of them to let me know just one day before.  I didn't have anything polished, so I played a part of a Mozart sonata that I had sorta figured out a while back.  I didn't trust myself playing the entire thing.  It was full of mistakes, but I doubt anyone even noticed.  I was so nice to see everyone that I haven't seen in a while:

On our way back to AZ we stopped in St George for a bit.  It was fun seeing the great-grandparents and being spoiled by Grandma.

The babies were real good on the drive home; they mostly just slept.  Except for the first hour:

Family Portraits

Here are our newest family portraits!!  We got them done at JCPenny.  I always go there...they're just so darn CHEAP and you get a ton of pictures.
I think a lot of them turned out really cute.  Too bad Elisa was just not feelin it.  And too bad her hair bow was upside down! Ugh!  Regardless, we got a few good ones that we got prints of.  We also used them for our Christmas cards.  Taken November 18th.

Mr. Stubborn

This is what you get with a stubborn two-year old who wants to do everything by himself:

Gabe wanted the bag of Cheezits open.  It was too hard to him to pull open, but he would let me do it for him.  Smart boy though--he tried to use the scissors but mean mommy took them away :)
