Why do I beat myself up?

I'm staying in Worcester tonight to celebrate the graduation of my friends.
But it's Friday night, and my brother always watches Anime on Friday nights until 3 AM at MIT - too late to ride the T, so he needs to drive.

Why is it that I'm the bad guy for denying my brother anime so I can celebrate the accomplishments of my friends?
