now on my 5th year of livejournaling, i've realized that these journals have a large impact on people's lives...you feel a lot closer to people who express themselves in an unabashed, unashamed way...although i see the need sometimes for friends only posts and complete journals, i for one will not have more than 1% of mine friends only and that would only be for family cases and those will be filtered to my closest friends...

i like quotes; not always in good spirits, but i don't dwell and can no longer tolerate drama disguised as comments to my posts...anyone usually who adds me, i will add them, but if i notice as time goes on that we just don't have anything really in common, i will remove you and i wish the same of you.

my older brother contracted CLM (chronic myeloid leukemia) and found out the day before thanksgiving 2005. i set up a charity in his honor for him and his 4 children. the money raised would go towards offsetting the high cost of his chemotherapy. anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated by him and our family.
