First Day of Preschool

Caroline went to preschool for the first time this year. For some reason, it was so hard for me! She was my baby for so long and even though she's not anymore, it just feels so odd to be sending her to school. But her teachers are so kind and she has some sweet friends in her class. She was so excited the first day and felt like such a big girl - it was fun to watch her. Hazel and I had a day all to ourselves and we couldn't wait to go pick her up when school was over!

Ready to go into class! She used Quinn's nap mat, with the addition of some ribbon (thanks, Gigi!) to make it a little more girly.

All smiles at the end of the day! She had a great time and we enjoyed some snuggles while we waited for Quinn to get out of school. Having a baby, my oldest starting kindergarten, and my middle starting preschool is a lot for my heart to handle this summer! But we survived and I'm so proud of her - she did great!

Hazel is 2 months old!

First Day of Kindergarten

How is this boy big enough to be in kindergarten already?? His school is amazing and he has the sweetest teacher. But really, I'm not ready for this!

He had a great first day and he was so excited to go. I walked him in the first week, and by the second week he was walking himself in to school. It's true what they say about the days being long, but the years being short. Time has flown. But we are so proud of him and are so thankful to be his parents. We can't wait to see how he learns and grows this year!

Hazel...6 through 8 weeks old

What a boring title! But life with a newborn is just a bunch of random pictures that you take because they are just so cute!!! So, that's exactly what this is...a bunch of pictures of Hazel and our family life when she was 6-8 weeks old :).

One of my former patients who is a high school swimmer came over a few times to help me this summer! We went to the pool and she swam with Q and C while H napped in my lap.

We had some fun days at the pool with friends! 

And more poolside napping during our family night at the rec center...

I just can't get enough baby snuggles. Having a sleeping baby on my chest is one of my favorite things.

Successful practice homeschool day! Q started Kindergarten in August and he has 2 homeschool days each week. So we practiced this summer and I was shocked to actually get both older kids working while I held a sleeping baby. I think I might be able to do this!

we found an awesome new splash park and pool about 15 minutes from our house! even though we went in the morning, it was SO HOT. we had to take turns taking hazel out to the car to sit in the air conditioning. but the kids had so much fun! we will definitely be going back next summer - and then hazel can really enjoy it too! and maybe we'll go in june instead of august :)

this is the life of a baby born in july in texas. she spent several days hanging out with mommy by the pool while her brother and sister played.

this just looks like a picture of a pool. but look above the stairs and you'll see quinn flying through the air! they were so brave! this was their first time to go off a diving board where we couldn't be in the water to help them get to the side and they did so great! they both went off the diving board a few times and swam right to the side.
