I don't have much to say today, but I told myself I need to be better about keeping in touch with LJ.
Actually, I think I probably have a lot to say, just don't know where to begin. Or maybe I don't want a bunch of "Oh, I'm so sorry" comments (no offense).
I miss my kids, a lot, and the ex is doing everything she can to minimize my time with them, all in the name of trying to get more money. Sick, isn't it? Next week they move further away (another 3 hrs drive on top of the 2 already). It's a big complicated mess, and all I can do is put up with her shit and maximize the time I do have with them so they know, beyond all doubt, that their Daddy loves them.

Wow. And that was just some lolcat pic, if I recall correctly.
OK, so, I'm still alive, still not divorced, still having to go through hell on a regular basis to spend time with my kids. Still living in the same place, now doing computer and management work for a real estate investment company that specializes in revitalizing distressed / neglected / non-functional primarily commercial property. It's actually fairly cool, given the wide variety of tasks that I can get into if I wish. We've got a restaurant/bar & grill we just re-opened about 15-20 mins away that presents all sorts of challenges, for example.
I'm not going to go into my personal life much here, since I have no idea who reads this (and what their agenda might be). Suffice to say, I'm in a great place 95% of the time, when I don't reflect on how much I miss my kids. I had no idea how bad that marriage was for me mentally until I was able to look back on it with clear eyes. Anything else going on is just icing on the cake.
Last night I had to buy a new power supply for me laptop. It cost me just over $100. I find this very irritating, b/c I'm sure one of the reasons why it was so much was the 8,012 different tip adapters that came with it. I know they do this because it's easier to stock just one item that works for a billion things rather than a billion items, but I really don't need something that can, given aforementioned adapter tips, power every device known to man including the transmission heater block of a 1973 Buick. I just needed 15V at a max of 5A.
I might be lying about the Buick.
