Exemptions
Welcome to the Turks & Caicos Islands Exemptions Portal. The Turks & Caicos Islands Government is currently offering two (2) stamp duty exemptions. The first includes a stamp duty and a customs concession for Home Owners under the Turks & Caicos Islands Citizen Homeowner Policy and the second a stamp duty rate reduction for eligible Turks & Caicos Islander Status Card Holders and British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTC).
Stamp Duty Reduction Policy
The Turks and Caicos Islands Stamp Duty Reduction Policy is a reduction in the stamp duty rate for qualified Turks & Caicos Islander Status Holders and British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTCs). Under this Policy a reduced rate on stamp duty is payable.
Turks & Caicos Islands Citizen Homeowner Policy
The Turks & Caicos Islands Citizen Homeowner Policy provides for a concession on stamp duty for first time home owners and the concession is capped at the rate of $50,000.00 for qualifying Turks & Caicos Islander Status Holders and British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTCs). Under this Policy a customs import duty concession is also offered. The import duty concession is capped at $50,000.00 for qualifying Turks & Caicos Islander Status Holders and British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTCs) and can be combined with the stamp duty exemption.
Please note at this time the ”Stamp Duty Rate Reduction is not available for submission online, applications should be submitted physically to the Ministry of Finance, Investment & Trade”.
