Actually I'm just working on some code and still love multi-dimensional arrays! I don't know why I find them so fascinating but I do. Oh the things you can do with them! I want to write a 5 or 6 dimensional game with cognitive enhancing techniques worked into it. But having to think in 5 or 6 dimensions on it's own would be enough of an enhancer for most people who aren't into advanced mathematics or theoretical/advanced physics.

But yes, arrays and multi-dimensional arrays and SQL aliasing = <3!

And I need a good geek/programming icon.

Python is still disconcerting, even when I'm drunk, with it's lack of structural markers and loose syntax. It's a great language as far as funcationality goes, but the syntax is a sick joke.

in other news, learning Python and some other programming. Python makes me uncomfortable. It's syntax is so... loose! There are not structure elements, no if(){ }, no semi-colon's at the end of the lines. It really is VERY disconcerting writing code without semi-colons and braces. It's like trying to write a short story without punctuation. My mind likes structure in certain ways and the look of C type code is just so elegant and beautiful. If I were to say anything was 'sexy' that would be one of the things. Well indented, well written, C type code. Perl, PHP, C, C++, whatever, just as long as it's got braces and semi-colons and works.

Just updating to say hi. Azalynn, I still need to read some of your posts that caught my eye but I've been so busy lately I haven't had the chance to. Marius, I haven't forgotten. In SANE news, and when I'm the measure for sanity in a post it's rather disturbing, I finally got the php/mysql application I was working on to work write. Had to basically rewrite the login/out functions from scratch, very easy once I got it started. That's right, I r teh internetz qwned by me!

ok, so why would a CVS (not the pharmacy, a Customer Verification System)/User Authentication system that I had written back in July/August, tested in July/August and even September remotely, suddenly stop working??? Writen in PHP 5 with a MySQL database connection, the bloody thing just doesn't work now, and I haven't even touched the code SINCE July/August.
At this rate I may as well just re-write the entire CVS from scratch, as it's taking me too long to troubleshoot and debug this code. And I've got better things to do (or would like to think so) than sitting here re-writing or debuging something THAT SHOULD BE WORKING!
