I'm just back from seeing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and the movie was so mediocre it gave me a case of indigestion so bad I thought I was having a heart attack.

Okay so maybe it wasn't the movie it was all the crap I ate during the movie but whoever came up with Zantac thank you. Seconds after dropping a pill I could breath again and the stomach cramps vanished.

Oh and I saw a couple of weddings when I was in Vegas. One of them was in the crappy hotel the company put us in and was so white trash it was like Britney marrying her second husband. It looked like the wedding reception was nothing more than a six pack and a carton of cigarettes and who knew backless wedding dresses were designed to show off the bride's tramp stamp. You could tell just by looking at him that the husband was a sleazy asshole and when he opened his mouth and started yelling at people while at a Blackjack table he confirmed it.

He nearly stepped on people to get to the casino floor the moment they exited the chapel.

Since I was jet lagged I was up and about at 4:00am and they were both still in the casino. She chain smoking and cursing at the slot machines, still in her dress, and he losing whatever money they came with at the same Blackjack table.

Amongst the slot jockeys and chronic gamblers of all ages still in the casino at that time of night they looked like some of the few people who weren't batshit crazy.

I was also amazed at how many times I was offered drugs while walking, like, anywhere. It must be my pale complexion that made the dealers think I was a Coke fiend. Vegas isn't a family friendly destination no matter how they might try to advertise it as such though I did see a woman breast feeding her baby in a shit kicking Country & Western bar. I also was standing in the Rio late at night waiting to see Penn & Teller when this stripper got up on an unused Craps table right next to me and started pulling off moves designed to let me see *inside* her.

I must radiate a different kind of decadence then they're used to.

Two days later I was walking out of the MGM Grand after picking up my tickets for Ka when a Star Trek themed wedding party came in. The Bride was in that dress they had Deanna Troy wearing in a few episodes of Next Gen, the Groom was dressed as Riker beard and all while the best man was wearing Kirk's green tunic/wrap from the original series and had a classic phaser tucked into his pants.

I'm thinking of the two wedding parties that one will be the low drama one and will last.

My lesson from the whole experience was that Vegas offers you the freedom to be as trashy or quirky as you want so long as you keep spending money. You can indulge every whim to every extreme safe in the knowledge that those back home while never know and those around you just don't care.

For me this involved seeing a magic show, two Cirque Du Soleil shows and a famous stand up comedian in the space of four nights and buying the best seats in the house whenever I could but I'm sure it's different for everybody.

I have a crapload of expenses to submit, it's my money, but the paper work has me procrastinating.

Right now I'm downloading Portal from Steam.

Mental Note: Don't write emails after one too many hot whiskeys.

Lemon, cloves, sugar..YUM!

Ooohh, unwatched episodes of Boston Legal on my Sky+ Box. When I grow up I want to be Alan Shore.

Popping in and out of the house to watch the lunar eclipse. Nothing really happening that's noticable to the naked eye just yet.

For me National Singles Awareness day is over and for the most part it wasn't bad even if I did have to avoid the dreadfully insecure women who felt like they had to parade incredibly ugly arrangements of flowers around the work place.

Seriously, what's wrong with getting them when you get home? Is it just an attempt to make other women jealous?

Still sneaking sweets after Christmas.
So not good. Bad habit I need to work to get rid of.

Not falling asleep until 5:00am every night.
Even worse.

Didn't fall into bed until 5:00 this morning. Stumbled out of bed in the dark to answer the phone and for a good few minutes was convinced it was 7:00pm and I had slept all day when in reality it was 7:00am and I'd only just got my head down.

The dreams in my restless sleep got weirder from there.

People still running around looking for Christmas presents.
If they could shop on the 25th they would.

Back from Paris. It's still filled with the accursed French.

It's time for one of those semi-regular big tidy ups. Right now I'm shredding financial documents like Enron.

Proving how cool I am I drenched myself in scalding hot tea earlier today. As I was putting the lid on I spilt some on the hand holding the cup. It reacted and all of a sudden I need a new shirt.

What with the sound of the wind and rain it's one of those don't bother getting out bed afternoons. Fortunately for mme I have a good book to read and good movies to watch.

Went to see Resident Evil: Extinction. Bad movie but anything with Milla clones works for me.

Supposed to be flying to Boston on Wednesday. Which makes the chances of the national carrier shutting down on Tuesday if they don't resolve the current industrial dispute close to 100%

I'm watching Louis Theroux: Under the Knife.

I've had surgery before when it was required but signing up for it voluntarily to have lipo? Oh hell no.

Two weeks in a row that I can't bring myself to go to the movies.

Hot Rod is playing to kids, Michael Clayton is two hours of preachy George Clooney more than I can stomach so there's nothing worth seeing until The Heartbreak Kid next week. You've married the perfect woman. Only to find out she's a recovering coke addict psycho.

It's a comedy for all the family!

I've spent so much time working this month that I'm no longer sure what day it is.

I honestly thought today was Wednesday and was stunned to find out that it was Friday.

I've just had a delivery of Graphic Novels come in from Amazon. They came in *many* boxes.

(This is getting out of hand and will probably have to stop.)

Just watched the MTV VMAs. Britney Speers looked like she downed horse tranquillizers before she went on stage.
