I am a 53 (2020) Year old biologist (Zoology; Ecology; Microbiology) working in an IT Company. I am in a huge project and working sometimes in Bonn but most from Home or my office in Hanover (60km from here).
I studied in Braunschweig from 1988-1995.
From 2001 to 2005 I lived in Berlin. Since may 2002 Maria the cat lived in my houshold. 2005 I moved back to Braunschweig although still in the same company.
I found a nice flat in Braunschweig 3 rooms (Dining/Livingroom; Bedroom; Study)Bathroom and Kitchen. With a tiny balkony.
In 2007 I got 3 gerbils, Charly, Imhotep and Senenmut. Charly and Senenmut died in 2010. Imhotep in October 2011. In November Yin&Yang moved in. A black and a white gerbil. In April 2012 Yin died in an tragic accident. After Yang died too we got some new ones. Wheeler and Desert. Wheeler died in 01/2017 Desert in April.
2013 I took an additional cat from the shelterand named her Freya, after the street I am living in. Due to an illness she died after 5 month, but 5 month with us were better than 5 month in the shelter.
2015: In March, after 13 Years and 12 days Maria has to be euthanised as she had cancer and massive water in her lungs. It was a terrible decision to take.
In June two boy cats from the shelter (4 years) moved in. I had intended to wait until after our september holidays, but when I saw Schröder I was trapped. As he came together with his (supposed to be) brother Linus (found in a box beside containers) we took both.
Both now living, as I assume happily, for over 5 years now with us and we, the humans, are definatly happy. So the loss of our old cat Maria found a happy end.
In 2022 died my loved one and in 2025 I had to let go the cat Schröder. He had a weak heart and in the end his lungs got watered. He was approximately 14 Years old
Now its me and the cat Linus
