[The video opens smoothly on a young woman with dyed streaks in her hair, and those who actually know her would be aware that those colors and locations tend to change with varying frequency, but otherwise mostly just looking like a reasonable college student.]

Hi, I'm Claudia. Resident geek and creator of strange and wonderful things, but that's not really why I'm posting today, it's really because I was talking to some people, and it occurs to me that with the work around to campus to be done and whatever odd things pop up, it might be useful to know what all people can do.

I don't just mean jobs and education type stuff, either. Like for instance i know a lot where programming, electronics, welding, and chemistry are involved, and can macgyver almost anything in a pinch, but I definitely wouldn't know what to do with myself on a farm without some degree of instruction. And, well, having a list of who knows how to fix a leaky sink or toilet, or who can convert a dorm bed to a loft or whatever could come in handy.

So right now I'm just thinking of some kind of informal spreadsheet where everyone who wants can go and put up the skills they're willing to share. No pressure, but lying or exaggerating could be a problem if someone's desperate for what you said you could do and you can't deliver. Just a way to streamline things. Like a Craigslist for skills.

Anyway, I hope others will pitch in, and until then, peace out!

[With a grin and two fingers held up in a peace sign, the video blanks out, although there is an attached link to a very bare-bones online spreadsheet.]

[OOC: I won't be making the spreadsheet, but assume it's the equivalent of a google sheets with reasonable column headers and such, and open editing rights]

[a pair of hands reach out to adjust the camera, and a closeup of a man's glasses can be seen before the man leans back a little to be properly in frame. he gives a tense smile and a small wave to the camera.]

Right! Hello, there. My name is Dr. Casper Darling. I've seen a few of you in my physics classes, and around campus, but I wanted to send a message out to the population at large. Both those I have met and haven't had the chance to meet, as of yet.

Now, I do want to get into -- [he gestures vaguely behind him to indicate the general state of things] -- everything that's going on, and I'll make a video about that, at some point. But what I'm curious about is a more recent phenomenon.

I've noticed, over the past week or so, a -- a figure, let's call it. It started out not unlike the black substance I encountered, and I know others did as well, when I first arrived here, but then it took a more solid form. Someone who shouldn't be here.

Someone who can't be here. [his expression flickers to something dark and a little sad before he carries on.]

Now, I would like to know if anyone else has experienced anything like this? Seeing people that are familiar but by rights shouldn't be appearing here. Please feel free to reach out here, or to stop by my office at the Murphy Science Center.

[The video opens on a young woman bending over to place her phone on a bench, before she backs up a bit so that it can record her entire body. Some people might have seen Eliza around the campus already, but in this video she's dressed in a completely different outfit, with a purple streak running through her hair and two large wings extended behind her. Several tattoos will also be visible on her arms.]

Hey, can you hear me from here? Wait... [From here on out, captions of what she's saying start appearing around her knees.]

Okay, that should work! Hi everyone, I'm Eliza Owens! For some reason, my Pokemon weren't with me when I got here, so I'm going to post an introduction to them so that no one freaks out upon meeting them! And if you find one of them, you can let me know!

First up, we have Slinky! [She gestures, and an image of bipedal flaming boar appears next to her, arms crossed and huffing.] She's my starter, who's been with me through thick and thin. She gets a bit grumpy sometimes, but she's got a good head on her shoulders and a good nose for trouble.

Next, Blade, my faithful knight! [This time a crested bird appears, flapping in the air, before she extends an arm for it to land on.] He's been with me almost as long as Slinky has, and is loyal as anything. He's probably already freaking out at being separated from me, so I hope someone finds him soon.

And Witch, the master of confusion! [A nine-tailed fox appears behind Eliza, sitting on her haunches with her nose turned up in the air.] Sure she can breathe fire, but what she really loves is stacking various negative effects on her enemies. She's a quiet one, but she's also quite observant, and she loves being brushed and pampered.

Next up, the silent and mysterious Dragon! [The ground at her feet appears to start being turned up, before a trio of heads pokes out of the newly-made hole.] Despite being stuck in the ground, he loves hugs and snuggles. He's a sneaky one, too, so even if you don't see any holes he might be lurking nearby.

Fifth, my dear little boy, Flute! [A looming armored elephant appears next to Eliza, trunk curled gently around her unoccupied arm.] He's surprisingly musical, although now that he's all grown up you can hear him from much further away. And he also loves snuggles, although he likes giving them more.

Last but not least, Lantern! [A ghostly jack-o-lantern appears above Eliza, before slowly drifting downwards to hover in front of her.] He might be a ghost, but he's a friendly one. He loves being patted on the head or just hovering around listening to conversations.

So now, you know all six of my Pokemon! Let me know if you see any of them around, okay? [The Pokemon images and captions fade one-by-one as she walks back to the bench, picking up her phone to talk more directly into it.]

Oh, by the way, does anyone here know how to milk cows or shear sheep? There's a little farm here, and I can collect the eggs easily enough, but I don't want to hurt the other animals with my inexperience.

[There's a little bit of fumbling as Rodney tries to make this look as professional as possible. Which, of course, has the effect of not, in fact, making this look professional. There's audible muttering as the camera moves dizzyingly around, until he manages to figure out a good place to perch it, and stepping back, crossing his arms and clearing his throat. Look at him, very serious scientist here. An authority, even. You really should listen to him. Etc.]

Greetings.

I'm Dr. Rodney McKay, and I'm sure you're all well-aware of our current predicament so I'll simply cut to the chase. Anyone who has any experience with physics, science, or even watched a single episode of your world's version of a generic space opera or wars, we need to collaborate.

From what I've been able to ascertain in the short time that we've arrived, the barrier is impenetrable, a function of the time loop. I've experienced something--not exactly unlike this before, a time dilation field and the only way through was a specialized door or portal.

Anyone or anything trying to get through the barrier otherwise was destroyed. Time flowed differently within the field, the inside moving much faster. As you can ask my colleague who was trapped inside at the time, it sucked. And that field was produced by what we call a ZedPM--or ZeePM in more American parlance--a Zero Point Module, which is is a device that generates massive amounts of clean energy, drawn from a pocket of subspace-time. I'm not saying the same thing is involved here, but this time loop has to be powered by absolutely colossal amount of energy. Granted, it still may be caused by what amounts as a natural process here with the--

[He makes air quotes]

"Meteor", but I think research into these Penumbric particles needs to be our first priority. I would be happy to lead that research, but I would like to welcome any of those of us--off-worlders, as it were--to join me.

[Somewhere, probably, in another universe, a science team on a certain planet shudders for no reason, as if sympathizing violently with whatever poor souls would take Rodney up on this offer...]

[ A text comes up on the Network, because reading someone else's text has him with more questions. ]

Hallo, my name is Caleb Widogast-- to make a proper introduction, some of you I have met though there are a few others who I have not had the opportunity.

I have a question for all of you, please indulge me if at all possible.

To anyone with special powers, magical or otherwise-- how has this environment affected it/them?

[ There is a brief pause before the next text comes in ]

Also, here is a picture of my cat, Frumpkin; he has been known to wander around. If you see him around Campus, he is not a stray-- but also he likes salmon treats and scritches behind the ear, ja.

It would appear that our powers eventually return as do most of our memories. Or that has been my experience so far.

I apologize if I acted unnaturally toward anyone. Please do not mistake my addled mind as genuine concern for anyone's well-being. Thank you.

Content Warnings: Extremely strong themes of amnesia. Eddie canonically suffers a curse that makes him forget massive chunks of his past & add that into Newcomb shenanigans and u get the idea...

(Setting the video up feels familiar. It's about the only thing that does. Eddie sits back, his gray gaze a bit clouded. There's peculiar scarring around his eyes and mouth, and he's missing his right arm entirely, but the t-shirt he's wearing is loose and nothing can be seen of the missing limb.)

I feel like I've gone through something like this before. (He's trying to focus, but catching memories is like catching smoke. His eyes dim the longer he thinks, a stitch in his brow.)

There's something...Something important...Someone...(He squeezes his eyes shut and pinches his brow, bowing his head.) Goddamn it. What is it...?

(There is a full minute of silence. Then his head snaps up and he snaps his fingers.)

Holy shit! Taylor Swift exists!

(That is soooo not the memory he was looking for, but it was the memory he needed. His eyes are glittering.)

Oh my God. I can't believe I forgot about her. Oh my God. Wait. (There's more. He's just barely starting to find it. Another pinched look and then:)

Demonic...car...

(Eddie, babe, try again later maybe.)
