temper your heart in the flames of war

phoenix, old as shit, a dramatic, cocky asshole who loves showing off - but his heart's (generally) in the right place. eventually gets sealed away by his own little brother to "teach him a lesson", gets freed by a human pyrokinetic freedom fighter and partners with her. eventually gives her his life force to save her life after a critical injury and accidentally fuses his soul to hers in the process.

loves to tease and generally has a smartass remark or two in the wings (hah), but outright terrifying when actually serious.
