As unnerving as it is to glance down and be smacked in the face with how much of a Glee fan I used to be, I thought it would be good to dust off the old Dreamwidth account, in light of everything that has been happening on Tumblr.

I don't know how often I'll end up using this account, as I've really moved away from the LJ/journal style of social media, but I want to make sure I have this place ready if all other social media turns into a capitalist (or Russian-owned) hellscape. You know - options!

I'll try to update my profile etc. so my AO3 account is posted, as it's probably the one other place besides Tumblr where I'm still very fandom-active. (I don't actually post or write much fanfic as a rule, but I AM a top notch lurker.)

A/N - I'm changing up the format for this section of the story! So exciting! I'm taking my cue from the brilliant AU J2 fic The Doors of Time (which seriously, everyone should try to read it at least once if you watch SPN or not because it's that good. End plug), and when the time comes for the music, I am going to link up to a streaming audio of it, and if you don't have the Shockwave to listen to it, I'll also include a link to the download as well. This way, you just need to click on the play button when you see the player, or if that doesn't work, right-click and open in new window so it can play in the background while you read. A/N: Again I feel like I'm being super anti-drug in this section of the story (maybe it's a theme for all my part twos in this 'verse), but I feel like I need to make the comment that the problem (hopefully) being addressed here isn't recreational drug use so much as it's self-medicating, which in itself isn't always a bad thing, but if you're doing it for an extended period to deal with any kind of trauma or condition, it can get dangerous very quickly. I've added self-medicating to the trigger list (it just gets longer and longer haha), but I wanted to draw attention to it here since this is probably the worst it's going to get.

And speaking of the trigger list, remind yourself of its contents before your read these next two parts because the residual trauma angst kicks up a notch for them.

A/N: The news segments that Blaine watches in this section are based on shows like The View (there have been a lot of them over the years) and their frankly disturbing Hot Topic segments or whatever they get called. I understand that controversy drives up ratings, but I've never understood why one of the women always has to say the grossest and most offensive thing imaginable and then doggedly defend her "opinion" even if it's painfully obvious it's stupid (remember "Rape rape"?). The final segment isn't my material at all, it is a loosely paraphrased arguement by Known Asshole Bill O'Reilly, who honest-to-God said this about Shawn Hornbeck after he'd been found and brought back to his parents. You can watch it here if you're interested, but be warned: it will make you want to throw things at your monitor (not just because of the somewhat obnoxious repitition used by the editor).

Finally, the tarantula toy. I don't need to tell you about this at all, and don't click on the link if you have spider issues, but my hand to God, this is the best toy I have ever seen in my life and yes, I DO want one. Just look at it!

I don't know how long you'll be waiting between parts, but I know a lot of you are waiting, so I thought I'd put this out there so I have to hold myself to actually posting it :)
