Really simple image fade in, for HTML site

Could someone help me with an example of how to do a very simple image fade in, which I'd include in an HTML page.  So instead of using <img src=blah.jpg> I'd embed blah.fla file with the image & fade-in.  Clear as mud?  :o) 

I don't understand flash a bit right  now, so please(?) try not to point me to a tutorial that explains something else and assume I'll know how to figure out how to do the simpler stuff..
