I need help!!!!

Hello all...I'm new to this community and Flash. I have been using Swish for a while now, which is similar, but I'm learning that it just doesn't compare to Flash when it comes to animation. (Or maybe I just never learned how to use it completely, heh.) I've been having to teach myself everything, and now I'm just trying to figure out where all the controls are and exactly what capabilities Flash has.

1.) How do I select say a shape I've made and then create mouse-over or mouse-click events?

2.) In Swish there are Sprites, which are basically animations or grouped objects (or whatever else you want) that can be saved and reused. There is some sort of equivalent in Flash, isn't there?

3.) This question is a bit vague...but what is the general way that you guys animate something? I tried a basic animation of a stick-figure guy walking...first frame he's in one position, a few frames later he's in a slightly different position and I used Tween: Shape. It doesn't really work right, and I did use the Tween correctly. Is there another simple way to animate without actually drawing each frame?

4.) How do I do hyperlinks on text or objects?

5.) What exactly are the pros and cons between using Swish and Flash? Is one better than the other for certain things? I know Flash is generally supposed to be much better...but why exactly?

Any and all help will be appreciated!!! Thank you!!!
