I've been a member of this community for a while now, but haven't post for a few months. I've got a flash question maybe someone can help me out with. I'm working on a flash menu for my new folio website, and I'm looking to create a serious of buttons. When the user rolls over the button, a movie will play, and then when they roll out I want that movie (which will be a movie clip in the OVER state of each button) to play in reverse.
Here are some examples of similar effects:
Lucas Arts KOTOR site
If you'll see in the flash menu, when you place the mouse over one of the buttons, a blue light effect fades in behind the text. Then when you move the mouse off the button the blue light fades away. This is the sort of thing I am looking to do. Any ideas how to do this? I know I have to place a movie clip in the over state of each button, but when you roll off the button, the movie clip just dissappears from the stage.
Any help anyone can give would be hugely appreciated.
