Hi guys - I'm very novice with flash and need some help quick before I fail this job miserably!!!

I have a photo which I want to be able to select certain sections of.. when selected or hovered over, I have some artwork to layer over the top of that to change the look of the photo (like a button) and then have a link to a html page, (or if I could then link to another swf file?)

my understanding is that this should be something like an imagemap? I just don't know how to make a certain part of the photo a hotspot, like you would in say fireworks/imageready/dreamweaver..

can anybody help please??? ♥
