LIVED EXCELLENCE
BOLD VISION
COMMUNITY IMPACT
Our mission is to set the gold standard in figure skating fitness— empowering skaters and coaches with innovative training that delivers measurable results and redefines on-ice success.
FLEXAFIT was born from the ice — from Signe Ronka’s journey as a competitive skater and the deep connection she felt between passion, discipline, and the dreams we chase in this sport. She once stood where so many skaters stand now: a young athlete with big goals, pushing herself every day to reach the top. But what shaped her most wasn’t the podium moments — it was the setbacks, the injuries, the frustration, and the resilience it took to keep going. FLEXAFIT grew from that experience, built to give skaters the kind of support, training, and guidance she wished she had when she needed it most.

What began with a few carefully crafted exercises in a small space has grown into a global community. FLEXAFIT is now a place where skaters of all ages and levels — from first-time skaters to Olympians, from passionate kids to adults returning to the sport decades later — come to feel strong, aligned, and capable again.
There is a higher level of trust from a skater when they know their teacher knows what they’re going through, knows what’s required to get to the top, and has a history of excellence in the sport.

More Than a Business — A Mother-Daughter Journey
FLEXAFIT isn’t just a company—it’s a shared passion between a mother and daughter, rooted in love, discipline, and the transformative power of sport.
What began as a young girl’s dream on the ice quickly grew into something bigger. As Signe Ronka chased her goals as a competitive figure skater, her mother, Angela, was by her side every step of the way—supporting her training, driving early mornings to the rink, and quietly studying what it took to raise an athlete. That bond turned into a powerful partnership.
When Signe founded FLEXAFIT to give skaters the tools she wished she had as a competitor, Angela naturally became her greatest supporter—and soon after, her business partner. Together, they built FLEXAFIT from the ground up: Signe leading with her expertise in high-performance sport science and coaching, and Angela offering her strength in operations, business strategy, and unwavering heart.
Their different strengths complement each other perfectly, and their shared vision drives everything they do: empowering skaters, educating coaches, and making high-level off-ice training accessible worldwide.
At FLEXAFIT, you don’t just see a business.
You see family.
You see legacy.
And you see what’s possible when two generations come together with a shared mission to uplift a sport and the people in it.
We hope you join us on the next leg of our adventure!
Whether you’re chasing your first axel, rebuilding after an injury, or simply reconnecting with the joy of skating as an adult, FLEXAFIT is here to support your goals. Every class, every drill, every piece of this program is grounded in love for the sport and belief in what’s possible when skaters are given the tools to truly thrive — on and off the ice.
I first joined FLEXAFIT in August 2020 and worked with the team until March 2022. I’m now thrilled to be back supporting our amazing skaters once again! Working remotely and connecting with athletes from around the world has truly opened my eyes to how diverse and inspiring the figure skating community is.
Although I don’t have a skating background beyond childhood memories of pond skating and attempting the occasional spin, I’ve always loved watching the sport—especially during the Olympics and national events. What continues to amaze me is how quickly skaters progress in their jumps and flexibility with the right off-ice training. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of the FLEXAFIT family and see the growth of our skaters firsthand.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about permaculture gardening and growing my own food. I enjoy the health benefits and time spent outdoors on our small farm just north of Toronto. I was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1981. I still speak the language and feel grateful to maintain strong family ties there
