And to round off the birthday weekend, we celebrated on Sunday with a family dinner and presents.


We're so glad that Grandpa and Grandma Jensen could come up and join us!

IT'S A BUILD-A-BEAR PARTY

This year Lauren decided that for her party she wanted to take her special friend Emily to Build-a-Bear. So that is exactly what we did. The girls had so much fun! Afterwards, we went to lunch, swimming, and karaoking (is that even a word?). It was a day full of fun and excitement!! Happy Birthday Lauren!

Happy 6th Birthday to our favorite girl who keeps us constantly on our toes!! Lauren you are a great blessing in our lives. Your smile and happy personality are contagious! You have been blessed with many gifts and talents. We are so grateful that we get to be your parents and have the opportunity to watch you grow into such an amazingly beautiful young lady! Mini-Me

Lauren's first project for school was to create a bear that "looked" like her. So we made her a skirt out of the same material as the one she is wearing (Thanks Grandma J.), gave her brown hair, and finished her off with a necklace! What a girl!

Oh, what do you do when your sister goes back to school?

1st Day of 1st Grade

Can we really be old enough to be the parents of this darling 1st grader? I am a little in denial about the whole thing! Lauren is getting so big and learning to do so many wonderful things. We are excited for this new school year and all the ways we know that she will continue to grow and develop.


She met her teacher this past Friday and she really liked her. Her name is Ms. Monn although that will change next month when she gets married. There are 16 kids in her class. No one from her kindergarten class is in her class.




We love you Lauren and couldn't be more proud of our BIG 1st grader!!
