What is a Construction Association?A construction association such as ours here in Fort McMurray is a branch of the Alberta (ACA) and Canadian Construction (CCA) Associations. The goal of FMCA, ACA and CCA are to unite the construction industry to promote growth and excellence across provincial, industrial, and residential projects. We provide access to the necessary tools and resources needed to succeed in the construction industry and promote professional work. What kind of benefits should I expect once I'm a member of the FMCA? For starters, you now become part of a network of tradesmen, business owners, contractors, and government representatives. This gives you access to residential, commercial, industrial, and provincial contract opportunities. Additionally, you will receive resources for training, certifications, safety courses, and so much more. The list goes on, so check out our benefits page for more info. |
Helping Construction Professionals for Over 30 Years! The Fort McMurray Construction Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 to provide commercial and industrial contractors opportunities to share project information. Today we share project tender information on the AB electronic Plans room; BuildWorks Canada. Working in partnership with 7 Alberta Local Construction Associations in the province, we specialize in serving the unique needs of the Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo Region of Alberta. The FMCA’s mandate, when formed, was to promote the highest possible standard of professionalism for its stakeholders. That mandate remains unchanged. However the industry has become infinitely more complicated and the scope and diversity of our services has grown to ensure we adequately service the entire ICI sector in our region. Our goal is to work on behalf of all companies involved in the construction industry; to promote the contributions and importance of the construction industry to our local and provincial economies. Membership allows you to have a voice as there is strength in numbers. We provide a network for your professional and business needs. The FMCA promotes the contributions and importance of the construction industry to our local and provincial economy. The FMCA is a proud member of the Alberta Construction Association, Canadian Construction Association, we have Board members on the Alberta Construction Safety Association, and Wood Buffalo Regional Safety Committee.
