Focused Light: Using art to Reconnect

About us

We provide a space for individuals seeking creative expression and connection.

Focused Light embrace artistic expression as a way to combat isolation and aid the healing process. We do this by providing creative workshops and a supportive community space for individuals to explore self-expression, mindful practices, and artistic healing, particularly those navigating the effects of childhood sexual abuse.

Focused Light is committed to helping those that have experienced childhood sexual abuse to beat and overcome feelings of isolation. We hope to do this by hosting regular creative workshops to enable a coming together and a sharing of skills and processes.

Focused Light was initially created to embrace the power of analogue photography to help bring individuals into the present and reduce isolation but has grown to recognise and embrace the creative skills and talent from within the community. This fully inclusive process has ensured maximum reach, empowered individuals and created a community that in fully inclusive

Our Ambition

To provide a creative space dedicated to fostering well-being and artistic expression through analogue photography and creativity. We cater for adults that have experienced historical sexual abuse. Offering a safe and supportive environment for exploration, healing, and community building. We look to build our community by empowering the artistic talent that already resides within by offering hosting and learning opportunities.
