The Ushi No Tane websites specialize in information, FAQs, and guides about the Nintendo console versions of the Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and Legend of the River King video games. These game genres are created and published in Japan by Marvelous (JP). In other regions, you'll find Natsume, XSeed Games/Marvelous (USA), Marvelous (EU), and Rising Star involved in the series' release.
The latest version of the mainstream farming series that have been released in various regions of the world are:
The latest version of River King, in all regions of the world, is River King: Mystic Valley (JP 2007, NA 2008, EU 2009).
Since 2000, Ushi no Tane has been run by a grouchy old lady who happens to be fond of video game agriculture along with two feline helpers: Intern Captain Bootu and Intern Hondo Mewnaka. The website is not officially affiliated, sponsored, endorsed, or employed by the developers of Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, or River King. This is simply a fan site.
Happy Farm'n Friday! I finally became best buddies with Webby! No more forced sharing of mushrooms with that little guy! I still have a few achievements left, and the kid will be fully grown in a few in-game weeks, but I may keep playing until I receive the 5-year wedding anniversary bedboard decoration. Plus, I am only at Bazaar Rank 52. Besides, Mr. Fogu has taken over the PlayStation with the new Dragon Quest 7 remake, so Coral Island will be on pause for a little bit.
On another note, I have been updating image links on the guide pages, so if you happen to see a page that has wonky or missing images, please let me know via email (cherubae@fogu.com) or the helper chat. I'll get that fixed right away. Thanks!

Numskull Games announced this week that Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos Complete Edition will be released physically for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on March 27 in Europe. Priced at about €33 for PS5 and €40 for NSW (no Switch 2 upgrade available), this new bundle contains the base game and all five DLC packs (Animal Avalanche; Visitors from Afar; Tools & Interiors; Crops, Fish, & Recipes; and The Great Outdoors). Preorders are now open on Amazon UK, though there is no preorder bonus.
Most of the DLC is accessible during the main story, but the Visitors from Afar pack is post-story content. Plus, with the treasure hunting from The Great Outdoors DLC, there is a lot to do in Anthos.
Natsume has not announced the North American release yet, though we know it is incoming per the Rated E listing on the ESRB website.
(I'm going to flip if we end up with a Doc Jr. preorder plushie... such awesome potential...)
System Service will release fuzzy-fur brown cow, black cow, and black-and-white cow as arcade prizes in Japan this week. These three cows are part of the BIG series and are about 11 inches long. So cute!
Select physical games are on sale in North America as part of Natsume's Valentine's Day sale, located on the publisher's Amazon.com store. These discounts run until tomorrow (February 14).
Marvelous is offering discounts on several digital games on Steam. These deals expire February 23:

Until next time
