Forests vs faith

About me

I started this blog as a new initiative to document the thoughts I had as a graduate student and a believer in Christ since 2019. Over the course of my academic journey, my perspectives on academic life have shaped my theological beliefs, and vice versa. This blog serves as my way to communicate on issues prevalent in the academic system, the theology taught in churches and society and how these two interact with one another to shape my thoughts and perspectives in my daily life.

For now, I have chosen to remain anonymous pending the performance and comments I get from this blog. My research specializes in tropical forest plant ecology with a keen side interest in biblical studies – hence the purpose of this blog! I am in no way an expert on the latter, but as far as possible I will cite from reputable, non-apologetic sources to justify myself. My hope for this blog is to serve as an outlet to convey lesser-known issues within academia and theologia for the laymen, with the aim to dedicate a post to each area biweekly.
