  2. This play through i was able to open and close racemenu without fail but for some reason this just started happening whenever i opened racemenu, loading the preset(that worked before) I use doesn't fix it either

  4. It absolutely is, yeah. I never stepped foot into a steam game forum. I knew these places existed, but I did not realize, they were alive and that people actually use them to communicate about games/socialize (apart from rating them, ofc). I do not even browse the shop. I usually know what I want to buy ^^

  8. usually when i start MO2 it appears and when i shutdown MO2 it fades away, it's really just a minor distraction when Skyrim is in play. didn't think to check screenshots i've got a couple, just checked them, it's crazy not visible in any my PNG Screen shots. I'm at a loss to explain It? thanks for the response/help. might just be something I'll have to live with but my ocd will make me continue to pursue a resolution...

  10. To begin with, I am not seeing Expressive FaceGen Morphs in your list. Chances are, that is your problem. Most female eye parts use meshes\actors\character\character assets\eyesfemale.nif (and its associated morphs), which has both eyes mapped to same texture area. Hetero eyes generally reference a singular left eye mesh (Meshes\Actors\Character\Character Assets\FaceParts\EyeFemaleLeft.nif) - along with its morphs, which includes the right eye as an extra part. Chances are, you have some mod including the meshes\actors\character\character assets\eyesfemalechargen.tri from Expressive - which is why regular eyes work with HPH for you. But you lack the expressive chargen .tri's for left and right eyes. As an example: High Poly Head, Hetero eyes from 'Tullius Eyes Pack'. Expressive FaceGen Morphs + Expressive Facial Animation (Male/Female)

  12. Hey, folks! I updated Vortex a couple days ago because I got an error about the size of the response coming from the backend, then updated several mods. Now, everything seems to have broken. None of the updated mods were deployed to my game, so many game elements seemed broken when I booted it up. I tried enabling the mods that were broken by updating, and they would remain in Uninstalled state even after I clicked Enable and would request reinstall after every consecutive enable request. This persisted even after purging and redeploying mods. I tried removing all mods and doing a fresh install of Vortex. Now, nothing will install. A screenshot has been provided below to show context for Skyrim. Clicking fix, downloading the mod again, and trying to re-enable it continues to show no improved result. I'm perpetually stuck in this current state unable to install any mods, new or already downloaded. It's currently in a completely unusable state. I looked at some other recent threads, but I couldn't find a similar issue. Anything you all can do to help? Thanks in advance!

I have spent over two weeks of intensive work modeling, sculpting, and texturing this weapon from scratch.   16. Post #27 Malignarogues were of the Malignachaos. Wildnoids were wildfolk humanoids such as monkeynoids or chimpnoids. Such exotic incidents were not common in the Multidiskworld but neither were they rare; people had gotten used to them enough to accept that they happened. They brought with them newly allowed devices such revopistols, being revolver pistols, and both lever-action plus bolt-action guns. They likewise had some more exotic ones such as xolasers, ziflamers and elemental based ones but only because they had special permission to do so. Then there was their even more hidden tech-tricks. The use of C' at the front, of a surname, suggested Clansfolk heritage of some kind though this was not always the case thanks to the foibles of history. Wildmans were more intelligent than their wildnoid cousins but relatively so such as chimpmans being more so than chimpnoids; the truth ranged from chimpanzees to chimpnoids to chimpmans to humans with humans being the most intelligent. Humans had been enhanced, adapted and augmented just as wildfolk had been and so were still more intelligent, relatively speaking. Wildkind as in both wildlife and wildfolk. The EverRainbowliance was the official alliance between Rainbowkind and EverKind. It was classed as a Rainbowtranspost. No other manifestation, of the celestial mechanism, was to be found in each of the other zidometents; they could easily show up there or elsewhere.   17. I installed the 1.16.3 update. It now complains about redundant mods and wants to remove them. I let it go ahead and it broke my save game, which now complains about missing .esp files. So I have redownloaded the mods that Vortex removed and I just ignore the redundant files warning. My saves appear to be OK once more. Update: I had Vortex reinstall everything. This cleared the redundant files message.
  18. Like anything else, it can take some getting used to. There is documentation on xEdit's Github, though -- which also links to tutorials if you want to know more. (xEdit is the general name for the program, since it's used with a bunch of different Bethesda games. The .exe gets renamed to match whatever game it's being used with: FNVEdit in FNV's case.) Honestly, use whichever mod manager you're comfortable with. I doubt it'll make much difference here -- and in this situation especially, learning a different mod manager will be a lot of extra work on top of what you're actually trying to do. (I use MO2 myself though -- in large part because I'd been using MO1 for years before Vortex existed. Plus I prefer its method of presenting mod files to the game over Vortex's.)
  19. Unfortunately, I don't know how to use FNVEdit and don't understand what it's showing me. Yes, I used Vortex. I tried MO2 once, but Vortex seemed easier for me. And with over 190 mods, I've only had this error so far, and I'm pretty far along in the game. What would be the difference if I used MO2? And could I even switch now?

  22. I just avoid those places - no reason for me to go there, I might catch something nasty from all the dross! As for swearing... yes, I can swear like a sailor, usually when I'm modding and something I've spent hours on doesn't work! Even worse if i don't know how to fix it right away!
  23. https://phostwood.github.io/crash-analyzer/skyrim.html doesn't turn up anything definitive what mod manager do you use? one potential issue is you have 2 of the "same" skse plugins... not saying this is the cause, but you should only use one of them, usually the latest version CombatMusicFix.dll v1.0.1 CombatMusicFixNG.dll v1.2
  24. I'm with you. The 1.16.x update completely broke what little Linux support there was for Vortex. It used to run fine in WINE/Proton and the new Electron and dotnet versions bricked it. I have built Vortex against my native system Electron and it runs just fine, what's missing is game extensions. Basically unless there is a fix forthcoming which either restores operation in WINE, or they port the game extensions, Nexus mods has seen the last of my money. I will take the paltry two mods I maintain and my dignity and go elsewhere. The response from Nexus to their absolute garbage service lately has been right on brand for a company being hollowed out after an acquisition.

  26. Check out the Steam Starfield forums if you wanna quick example of 'inmates in charge of the asylum'..... Sad thing is, it's maybe half a dozen trolls, and their alts...... that turn the place into a cesspool. Beth is not there at all. At least, not that I have seen in the last year or two. There were a couple beth folks there initially, but I think they took too much heat, and abandoned the place. There is NO active moderation there. They only react to reports, and even then, the stuff they let go just amazes me. Individual post see some scrutiny, but there are entire threads dedicated to lies and misinformation, that have hundreds of post, have been reported numerous times, but, they are still up and running.... I've been a mod, (and admin.... and still am) on a few sites, (including bethesda's own forums, when they had forums) and there are folks there that should have gotten the boot permanently, a long time ago. But nope. Still there, still s#*! posting, putting up bait threads, and trolling to see who they can get banned. I can't count the number of times I have gotta vacation from there.... Ah well. I pretty much avoid the whole place at this point.
  27. I've recently gotten into Fallout 4 modding again, so of course I got Buffout 4 for the crash logs. Only problem is it doesn't generate them anymore. I have logs dating from 2024, so it clearly used to make them, but now I'm not getting anything. Which stink, because my game's been crashing far more recently, and I have no idea why. (I'm stubborn, so I'm not spending hours checking each mod one by one.) I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times, several different ways, and even deleted the directory it was supposed to be putting the logs in (My Games/Fallout 4/F4SE), but nothing has been working. Does anyone know how to fix this?
