Hi there! Well as my first post in the forums I would like to thank the site and the community for such a great job. I've been an user of "nexusmods" since aprox. 2013 and the quantity and the quality of extra content for so many games that I love is just outrageous. So thanks for being such an amazing site. Now that said! First I will like to know what's for you the best version of Skyrim to mod (original or special edition). And for not loosing the point of the post is not necessary to argument the decision. Just write the version you're playing in top of the list  The goal I have with this post is to make a list of mods for Skyrim at date December 2017 that improves the original experience from 2011 without washing out the Skyrim taste. For me and in this case in particular a good mod selection would be one that: 1.- Don't alter the original taste/feeling/gameplay of the original Skyrim. 2.- Its lore friendly 3.- Keeps it simple. 4.- Don't forget that the main goal is always playing after the modding and not screencaping. So we have a list that respect the artistic job of the developers (in this case we will skip beating drakes as "Son Goku" ). Try to keep it simple with no more than 10 mods per section (being a total of 30/40 mods). My own experience modding "The Witcher 3" is that having like 100+mods installed is never worth in the way that when you just take half of these mods the game looks actually the same and you save yourself crashes, performance issues and whatnot. Which takes me to the 3rd point that is to keep always in mind that the first goal here is to play the game. So something that makes the game terrific for a screen cap but is not optimal for playing would be a no-no (nights so dark makes it impossible to play at night or get into a cave, god rays that are unbearable when facing them in the field... you get the idea) To organize the list I've think to divide it in 3 sections. How I understand modding in some cases is more of a different artistic approach (different palette, skins for the different weapons/armors) than a pure technical improvement (better textures or lightning for instance). So the first is gonna be for the graphics department, the pure technical improvement. And the idea here is simple: Which is in your opinion the best set of mods to get Skyrim look the best today? The second is going to be for everything that adds changes to the game the actually improves the original experience objectively. This is everything that developers didn't think in the 1st place but now 6 years after is a no-brainer that SkyUI works better for PC than the original HUD  So everything about that. The third section is special, because here enters to play the artistic department. I mean new hairs is not something that takes the game to a new technical level but for some would make the game look better, right? Hairs, new flora, new models, new bodies, new clothes, armors, weapons, new animals, skins of all kind.... are welcome in this section  And in the end I would like to add a special section. And this is all the mods that actually changes the gameplay of Skyrim BUT they're so good that they deserve a special mention. This is for example (don't know if there is but is just an example) a mod that would make The Dovakin able to climb with a meter of climbing to make a Skyrim: Breath of the wild xDD. Wouldn't be ideal for the official list but hey, please put this down cause it would be at least worth to try. The goal is also to create an honest list of mods to play Skyrim in 2017 so people can come and share avoiding the click baiting thumbnails in YouTube showing.... well, something that's not the game. Any post, comment or adding will be much appreciate it. So please feel free and write anything you feel like to :hurr: THANKS!

Happy new year everyone! In a few months, Oblivion will be 11 years old. It really has aged well, as there are several whom still play to this day. I have a goal to bring together the Oblivion community of 2017. Of course, I’m going to need everyone’s will to help out. The purpose of this is to bring in more life to Oblivion, interact with each other, and have fun whilst helping/contributing. Why? Simply due to my love for this game. To start off, I need to set up a list of active Oblivion YouTubers , so post your channel here, or anyone you find. As the list grows, categories will be made as seen fit. You might as well also see this as a chance to grow your channel! Anyways...Of course as we all may know, not everyone visits the forums. Because of this, spread the word, or do some shoutouts for each other. Let’s NEVER leave the modders out! A list of active Oblivion modders will be made. Q: So, what are these lists for?A: First off, it’s a collection of who from Oblivion are still active. Next, it’s to help modders and youtubers gain recognition. The reasons go on… use your imagination! Suggestions will really help out!I will keep in touch from here and YouTube. Stay tuned for updates by subscribing and following this topic! And now, our first interaction to be done.QOTD: Your favorite guild in Oblivion? I really like the Thieves Guild.

I don't know how to export into .nif netimmerse file format so that I can put my 3D textured models into my mod that I just learned how to make! Bethesda reformatted their website and removed the plugins for 3ds max to export and import .nif and now they are lost forever. additionally the plugins were for the 2001 version of 3ds max and would they still work with the current version? because Its not possible to get versions that old. and there are blender scripts/plugins you can use but need python and PyFFI to work? and people have lots of trouble with them? I think this information is lost and no one knows how but if someone knew and could help this thread will probably be used by a lot of other modders trying to figure it out too. I added good topic tags. thank you!

let me start by being honest, I don't like fallout 4's power fist design. However I love the power fist's in New Vegas. What I would like to see is a mod that add's new textures to the crafting menu to change the power fist to look like their earlier designs. -power fist -Heated saturnite fist -displacer fist -ballistic fist if possible I would like to see the industrial hand, and bladed gauntlet make a return too. It would be nice if the fist's were accompanied by their effects from the previous games, but a simple re-texture would be better suited for now.

What are your thoughts on the announcement of Skyrim VR? I think it could be cool, but I don't like that it really seems like they're milking such an old game. Basically, you paid 60 dollars for the original, plus the cost of DLC. Then if you are on consoles, you paid another 60(ish?) dollars for the remaster. Now, Bethesda wants another 60 dollars for the VR edition (or so I've been told). I realize no one has to buy it, but it just rubs me the wrong way. It really feels like a cash grab.
