Obviously non lore friendly. I couldn't quite figure it out. When I tried replacing the helmet the picture was sideways.

I've recently encountered a extremely annoying glitch that involves all smoke, mist and fog being turned into 2D rotating squares, and it is really ruining the immersion of my game !! Hi all, I was reading though another discussion and found someone had written quite a useful list, outlining the process they go through to design a new item: 1. Model in blender 2. UVmap in blender 3. Export .OBJ file 4. Texture in gimp 5. Set correct scale/rotation and add texture links to models in nifskope. Could anyone explain, in idiot speak, what each step is in essence? I read it as create a model, 'convert' it to 2D, paint a texture on it and them do something to it in nifskope I don't quite understand yet :) Am I right? What does the last step mean? Are there any important details I need to remember? Thank you for your help! James

PaintDotNet is a simple and easy-to-use tool, but it lacks of effect in comparison of gimp2. i downloaded a lot on the official forum, and some of them are really usefull for texturing. this list is far to be exhaustive, and i put here some i use the most. notice it's possible to download without registration. Normal maps by simon brown to make normal maps Alpha mask by Illnab1024 inport transparency as a greyscale image ( a color image works, and it's possible to copy an image ) Transparency by BoltBait change the transparency of the full layer, otr of the selection Conditionnal hue/saturation by evanolds mofify the color of the whole layer Color match by pyrochild( he made a lot of plugins) change the color of an image to match another image Seamsless helper by BoltBait help for seamless texture. more work is required anyway Don't hesitate to download and try plugins, then post the links here.

I love using Paint.NET It's my main tool when doing any textures and I don't need any transparency. The only problem I have is that the ONLY normal map plugin on the web doesn't actually work (On any of this years Paint.NET's) So I have to make the normal maps in the Gimp2.6 which is just plain annoying having to switch programs. If anyone can make a plugin for it or can direct me to one that works on the latest Paint.NET That would be great. By the way for anyone who uses Paint.NET you can make normal maps either in Gimp, Photoshop or Crazybump. (For anyone that wants to know) (Note before posting: Paint.NET is a program that I like to use and has better features than gimp and for me is my choice, like I said I use gimp for textures that need it so no posters asking me to migrate to gimp)

Paint.NET is a free image manipulation program which also includes DDS file support natively which means no plugins are required for opening or saving DirectX images. However, you still need a plugin to create Normal Maps which can be found on the Nexus page. You can also find a list of DDS tools on the Oblivion CS Wiki site. Hello nexus, sorry for my bad english, i currently represent a nameless (well...) team, working on Source Engine modification. Its mostly gameplay mod, so its versatile, you can play HL2 campaign using it or any other custom map. I'm making source code, sounds, some music and gameplay design, also we have leading designer, modeller, animator, system administrator, second composer, and two guys promised us public relations (you may know t3hSnake from GB or Gunship Mark II, working on Cinematic Mod for hl2), but still, we are missing something...someone who will make textures? Mostly for the guns, yes. Currently we need very fast texture on one (1) gun, named AR1, until 3rd december, and later we need to texture other guns we made, but not necessarily so fast. The mod features huge gameplay changes and even more awaits, if someone is interested, i can list some of those, and here are the screenshots of the AR1 Carbine. We currently have no moddb page, but will have it in december, after we made our first video showing gameplay and current features. If someone is speaking russian and/or has VK account, that will be the best.
