Hi everyone! I'm a professional screenwriter and novelist, and I would love to connect with some of the community here. I also have a background in voice over acting, and access to several other professional VO actors. I've started working on a mod for Witcher 3 in Redkit. I quickly realized I'm in over my head. So, I thought I might see if there were any modders who might be interested in collaborating. I would also be interested in helping other modders out. My modding skills are pretty meager so far (though I'm learning!) but if you have an interesting concept and would like help writing a quest and dialogue, let's talk. I can also help with adding voice acting to your mod. I can share my pitch for my mod if anyone's interested. Looking forward to connecting!

Sometime back, someone was gonna do a mod on Radio Freedom & needed a voice actor. I couldn't do it at the time, but I now have some free time, so I threw a demo tape together. Check it out & see if I got close!! Feedback welcome! Radio Freedom Voice Overs (odysee.com)

Hello Fellow Fallout enjoyers. I want to preface that i am not familiar with the fallout 4 community but i do enjoy keeping up with fallout and it's modded content. My goal is to find a community channel in which i can offer Voice over work for mod creators, i am not looking to get payed, i'm doing it to so i can garner experience in the field. A secondary motivation came from experiencing people use AI voices to voice their characters in their mods, a trend i am personally not a fan of, not because i'm against AI tools but it just doesn't sound good yet. So here i am to ask help from more seasoned users in the Fallout modding community to point me to a social channel many look for help regarding voice acting.

Hello looking to expand, I'm looking to potentially add some custom voices for my mod Darkness Falls and SE version If you feel you could add some personal character to this mod read on! What am I looking for, expectations? Well, I'm an artist the visual and colour kind. I'm far from a writer or a voice actor! I'd think it would be a lot of fun to spawn a butcher character with a crazy voice, basically like the jester already in the game. He might even follow you. Yikes! lol So I'm looking for a writer and a voice actor. Perhaps you think you could add something else that I've not even thought of yet. As for expectations well this is a free mod, not a full-time job if you can spare some time to contribute something, great! I look forward to your reply! Thanks, Death Octimus

I have recently attempted to follow several tutorials online, in regards to quest creation, I have run into a wall. Everything I have researched to fix this problem has not been useful. I HAVE however while attempting my own quest mod, successfully learned to record custom dialogue, I have professional recording and studio equipment on hand, however I have not been able to find a solution to my quest creation problem, if someone could solve this problem of mine, I would be FULL willing to do dialogue lines for their mods. Please PM me.

I've noticed there are a very limited number of mods that include daedric princes. And I'd like to see some interesting quest mods come about using them. Obviously some wont like tampering with the idea because of lore reasons. I am an up and coming professional voice actor with a length of mods under my belt. I enjoy doing impressions and I'm currently slated to play the character of Sheogorath in a few large mods. But rather than this seeming like a shameful advertisement, I'd like to put the offer out there to mod creators that there are actors like me who would be happy to voice the character in a mod of yours. More likely if you have a steady/active presence in the modding community and have at least a couple notable released mods. Too many mods get scrapped before release unfortunately, and for an actor who is willing to donate their valuable free time towards a passion project. Having hours and hours of hard work thrown away during the production process is a major motivational killer. So! if this audio clip interests you, or if there's another Daedric prince you'd like to hear voiced. Hit me with a PM or respond so we can talk! I am told I have a voice that sounds quite similar to Wes Johnsons. Come to think of it I should create a reel of his characters and post it here eventually. But for now here are some older samples of my work to draw from. https://soundcloud.com/daniel-hodge-2/sheogorath-voice-acting-short And this third ex. for dragons: https://soundcloud.com/daniel-hodge-2/smaug-ext Again I know there are some other forum sections dedicated for actors. Simply adding my skills in to support the request that we can make more of these interesting daedric mods happen :) My free time isnt very large as I have and ever growing pile of voice work. But if there is a page or three out there that someone needs but doesn't know who to turn to, there will be this post :) I am still a noob when it comes to forum posting so if this one needs to be moved let me know!

I made this with my mod (Garbage Guru Hauling and Free Store) in mind, though it'll work in general as well. Extremely Basic GECK Voice Addon Instruction (for New Vegas) Requirements: New Vegas installed. GECK or GECK Power-up installed. winrar (or other compression software) 1. From desktop- run the GECK (from here on in I'll refer to the GECK and the GECK Power-up as just the GECK- they do the same thing as far as voice recording is concerned). 2. Load up/open the Fallout esm and the mod you want to make an addon for (in this case it will be AAAGG.esp). Do not set either as the 'active file'. 3. After loaded when you first save it will ask you what you want to name the file and where you want to put it (I suggest giving it the prefix AAAGG- for all the files you might make) and it must be saved in the Data folder in the NV game folder (the one containing the game exe). 4. Go to 'Quests' in the Object Window and double click on the one you want to make voice for (one character can have dialog in multiple quests- hence the AAAGG prefix comes in handy because all the voices in this mod exist in quest files prefixed with AAAGG... that is, you'll have to manually check each one to see if a character has lines there). After double-clicking on a quest the quest window will open. 5. In that window all of the tabs from 'Topics' to 'Radio' are for dialog (most dialog for this will be in the Topics tab, though there are instances where there are lines in 'Conversation' and 'Combat'). 6. Click on a topic then all the lines in it will be displayed. 7. Double click on the line you want to do... hold on, wait a second... Ok minimize the geck for a moment and check your Data/Sound/voices/AAAGG.esp folder. In it will be a few folders of the voices of all/some of the character's voices. Delete the characters you intend on making voice for (some may not exist because I uploaded a few of the voices in separate files onto the Nexus and you may not have them, which doesn't matter, if the character you want to do isn't in the Data/Sound/voices/AAAGG.esp folder that's fine and let's just go back into the GECK now. 8. Ok. After double clicking on a line a dialog window will open, with the text of the line in the top box. Near the bottom is a Record button. (you may have to figure out manually how to best set up your system's recording. I know the numbers 44100 and 16bit are required) 9. Record yourself reading the line. Let there be the shortest of pauses after starting and before ending recording. 10. Preview and if it is acceptable, save it (note: when you save a lipfile is also made, so if you want to change a save you already made you'll have to manually delete the lipfile and let the geck make a new one with your new save... so take previewing seriously :). 11. Then save the file. Also save often. 12. (Optional) When you are done with all your lines of dialog. They are ready to be compressed into a rar and uploaded, though, if possible, if you have an audio batch file coverter (be good to get one if you're going to be doing this sort of stuff) to convert all the .wav files the geck made to .ogg files- 16bit mono 44100. Then just delete the .wav files. 13. Packaging the .rar. - make a folder named AAAGG[yourfilename] - in that folder make a folder named Data - in that folder make a folder named Sound (is it sounds with an 's'... manually double check that one) - in that folder make a folder named voices (check the 's' thing again) - in that folder make a folder named AAAGG.esp - now go to the voice/aaagg.esp folder in the game folder and copy the folder(s) you worked on and paste them in your AAAGG.esp folder. - now right click on your file folder (the AAAGG[yourfilename] and make an archive of it. You'll have to figure out/get the .rar compression software yourself. Once that is done upload it to the Nexus and I can put a link to it in my mod description. Hope this helps. PS: Just realized saving isn't important unless you are changing the dialog, which is doable but raises complication as then the .esp (your esp in the Data folder) gets put in your .rar's Data folder. Which means it becomes an 'update' that'll potentially need to be upgraded everytime I upgrade the mod.

Hello to everyone. So you might be thinking the title is a bit strange, but... here is the deal. I've almost finished my quest mod (well it is 50/50 quest/house mod indeed). By that I mean everthing: locations, plot, scripting, quest implementation and stuff. I even have 2 voice actors apart from me, working on voicing the NPCs. Some topics were already recorded, edited and put in game, but the thing is... these are the male characters. Bottom line. Could really use some help of ladies, willing to do a voice acting for Female Player Character. The role itself is not huge, it's not even big. It's only 70 dialogue lines so this won't take much of your time. But at the end of a day you will be putting your efforts into a quality, funny and advanced scripted quest mod. Anyways, thanks for your attention. If you decide to participate in this endeavour, please post here or send me a PM. I'll show you all the context you want abiut the characters and the sutiotion. Credits will be given, out of a question. P.S. In case you're still thinking the title is strange, I'm not giving here a project name, because it is still a project and I haven't come up with the name I wanna use for it))

Just curious as to if anyone has gotten to the extent that they're needing voice acting, or if any quest based mods have been made yet?

Hey, I'm working on a new project for Skyrim, It's a quest mod called "The Wardens". It's basically a Dragon Age mod, it's gonna be badass (Hopefully). But alas, there's nothing I hate more than Un-Voiced quest mods and I was hoping I might be able to find some people who are willing to help me do some voice acting. Of Course, any help will be appreciated, but Voice Acting is the thing that Is needed most. If you are willing to help either reply to this thread or email me [email protected]

Hi there, I've recently been playing a lot of Fallout: New Vegas, and in modding it noticed that a lot of mods lack voice acting, and I'd love to lend my hand and make an attempt in this field. I have a decent quality microphone (Audio Technica AT-2020 USB+), sound editing experience (around 10 years of Audacity sound editing, I know the program inside and out), and a good recording environment (acoustic dampening panels). I've got what I'd consider a good vocal range, but I'd leave that opinion to someone else. Most importantly, I've got time, lots of it. I'd love to assistance in any voice overs, I'd be glad to give my assistance with anything as an attempt to enter the modding community from a position other than consuming. Any assistance with getting me started would be greatly appreciated, Thanks. -MS

Hello Mod community! I'm a Voice Actor! If you've been around the Nexus for a while it's very possible you've heard my voice before! Maybe I've already worked with you on a past project! Maybe (most likely) you've never heard of me! Regardless, if you need a voice for your mod, I can help! While I am not inherently opposed to adult material, I would prefer to spare my wife, neighbors, pets, and anyone else within earshot the inevitable awkwardness that comes with the territory. Thank you. EDIT: Added video links to some of the character names, just give you context

Hi I am eager to lend my vocal chords to one of you talented modders, free of charge! I will be using a high quality Rode microphone and can clean up the audio etc. if need be. I would very much like the chance to try this and if you do not like what I send you, I won't be annoyed or whatever about being turned down. I am able to do British, American, Scottish and Slight South African (Albeit not perfect) accents if the need arises. I'd just revel at the chance to become a character in a Fallout game! I'm working on an update patch for my custom companion mod and cause I'm a male I don't classify. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15420/? I'm looking for female voice actors or practically any girl out there with voice recording equipment that could record some 20-30 voice files. They vary from just 1 word to 2/3 sentences per voice file. Kawaii/ Loli talent would be appreciated but it's not required.

Hello, My name is Jake. I've been active here for a while. Although not recently because I was waiting for Fallout 4 to release. I am posting this early on to maybe get some spots settled in because I absolutely love voice acting and can do an array of voices, accents, etc. (Yes that includes ghouls too!) Firstly I'll tell a bit about myself and my experience. I'm 28 at the moment and have participated in numerous Fallout: New vegas mods/cinematics. One of the popular being Sickle Cell. I have a 3 deicble range-ish give a bit on either end as I can reach a pretty low voice and pretty much sound like a 6 year old girl/boy. It was always my dream to be a voice actor but that's a pretty hard career to get in to unless you know someone who knows someone, so I came here just to get it out of my system. I can't really tell you how many projects I've been in as it was a long time ago for F:NV. I have a professional microphone, pop screen, and use free recording software. Anyway, I'll keep it short and sweet, if any of you modders out there are setting up projects as of right now and are thinking of laying down some casting, I am here and will be avalible as I work overnights in a correctional facility. Days are completely open to record. With that said, awesome modders of Nexus, I hope all is well and keep modding!

I am a Voice Over artist and gamer, I have played all the FO series and skyrim. I voiced an NPC in Wheels of Lull for Skyrim and have narrated some audio books. I would really love to do a complete follower and understand that's anywhere from 600-1500 lines. I have a condenser mic and little home studio I record in. If you're looking to be one of the first modders to have a fully voiced follower up on Nexus or other mod site...let me know! If you know of somewhere more suitable to share this...also feel free to let me know. Seemed like a the best thread for it. :) http://gabrieldunnvo.tumblr.com/
