Hey guys, i already made a reply to another thread, but it might also be worth an own topic: I have 270 mods active on my Skyrim Special Edition and had to cut down so i dont get over the 255 plugins limit set by NMM (i know its 'only' a warning). First question: Anyone experience with this? Is it safe to have more mods or should i cut down when i want new mods? But the main question here is the following: My Problem: My game kept crashing, first only once a day, then it got more often until yesterday i couldnt even play this savegame, cause it was crashing 10 seconds after loading. I cleared the savegame with Re.Save, checked load order with LOOT, reinstalled the mod and did other stuff, nothing worked... I disabled all the mods to find the error and it ran smoothly (disgusting to see a modded character without mods...), so it had to be a mod, then i enabled them again one by one and tracked down the bad mod, it turned out to be "Amazing Follower Tweaks". I installed all the mods except AFT and it worked perfectly fine. If i enable AFT, it keeps crashing again. problem is: i have many followers and also think an adventurer group is more "immersive" and fun than just one lame follower all the time... I cant play without AFT, i need it. How can i fix this? Is there a possible replacement? My load order:

I like this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6656?tab=files I also use the "Superb Serana"-Mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2409 and i really enjoy my journeys together with my 3 followers (the classic 4-party) Farkas, Brelyna and Serana. And with Serana i have a little Problem: I have an issue with her Vampirelord-transformation - she is invisible, i only can see her Vampirelord-Armor: https://picload.org/view/dgloclwa/20171002092836_1.jpg.html So i have tried THIS Mod (Vampire Lord Serana): https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10105/? with this mod the transformation works fine, she`s not longer invisible: https://picload.org/view/dgloclwl/20171002093139_1.jpg.html BUT, now i have another issue: when she transfoms back, she don`t equip her Armor - but ONLY her body-armor, boots, gauntlets and all the other stuff is still equipped. When i deactivate the Vampire Lord Serana Mod, she keeps all her equipment after transforms back, BUT as is said - in the Vampire Lord-form her body is invisible. So what could cause this issue? So the Supporter "AFKRoger" gave me a few answers: AFKRoger: Do not use that mod with aft, do not manage serana with aft till after you have completed the dawn-guard quest-line, check for a mod that replaces either the textures and or meshes for vampire lords. Lycanthro: Ok thank you for your answer. but... hmm... now i am a little bit more confused... You wrote: "do not use that mod with aft" - do you mean the "Vampire Lord Serana" mod? And: "do not manage serana with aft till after you have completed the dawnguard quest-line" - so i already have completed the line any months ago, long before i installed the AFT-mod. And: "check for a mod that replaces either the textures and or meshes for vampire lords" - ok, i have complete uninstalled the mods (textures AND meshes) for Vampire Lords, so everything is vanilla - nothing helped, Serana is still invisible. AFKRoger: Don't use mods that simply provide the same features as this one or one will conflict with the other hence don't use vampire lord Serena mod. Use ssedit to check for mods, that affect Serena or vampire lords in general. Lycanthro: Ok after i have removed all mods that alters Serana or Vampire Lords. Serana is now visible in Vampire Lord-form. BUT now i have another issue: after she transform back she has a dark face and no hair. I tried around with all the mods i have for Vampire Lords and Serana one by one... With Vanilla Vampire Lord Textures/Meshes - the transformation is fine, Serana is visible but after transform back, she has dark face. With the altered Vampire Lord Textures and Meshes it works fine - Serana is visible in VL-form, but back in her normal form she has the dark face. The only mod i have the invisible-issue is this one: "Superb Serana" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2409/? BUT, here she has NO dark face after transforming back. And, with the Serana Vampire Lord mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10105/?) the transformation works fine, after transforming back she has no dark face BUT she don`t equip her Armor. So, is ist possible to make an AFT-compatibility Patch for the "Superb Serana" mod? AFKRoger: So, wait you don't have the issue when you have superb Serena installed? Lycanthro: No no, Superb Serana is the ONLY mod i have the invisible issue. BUT with this i have none of the other issues: - no black face, and after transforming back she equip all her armors and weapons. sorry if I had described something incomprehensible. I hope now you understand waht i mean So, does anynone here has an idea about a solution for this issue?
  3. Dear modders, This is my first ever post. I am trying to customize Serana in SSE, which is managed by AFT. I am using BijinAIO but I prefer her appearance of Serana of Volkihar better, then overriding her by that mod. BijinAIO's Serana(which is Seranaholic 1.6) uses Summon Gargoyle and Bats teleport, and they are really satisfying. But Serana of Volkihar overrides her ability/spells too, which are only weak ice spike, lightning and drain. Could anyone please advice me what is the best way to make her use those abilities while keep her appearance? Should I use AFT's tweak commands, command lines or CK or any other mods?
  4. The Mod AFT has three types of clothing for Followers. One of them is for followers put clothes when they are in a player's home, but it does not work in every house. Currently it happens to me with two mods: Raven Castle Hill House Returned In other mods houses, the follower changing clothes, then these mods must have something that makes AFT reads and follower change clothes. I want to know that is to add in the Creation Kit. One last question How can I convert an NPC in a lord of vampire with the Creation Kit?
  5. My problem is following: I found Meeko first time in 603 hours I have been playing Skyrim, and fell for him instantly. I took him with me. After that I visited first time the Hassildor player home, and discovered that with this house came very adorable husky called Aldon. I wanted him too! And that's when the problems started. So, I'm posting this here because I don't know where else I would post it, as Hassildors comments and forum topic are locked, and Meeko is a vanilla follower with no author to contact. At first I was using EFF, and tried to get both Meeko and Aldon to follow me. It didin't work, Meeko followed me, but Aldon was unresponsive. I happen to have Vilja as my companion too, so I tried to ask Meeko to follow her, and have Aldon with me. It seemed to work, so I traveled to Whiterun to take care some business. But now I'm stuck inside Breezehome because neither of the dogs follows anyone. The thing is, if I talk to Meeko and ask him to follow Vilja, it works, and I can talk to him again with topics like "Wait Vilja right here". But if I ask Meeko to follow either her or me, and then talk to Aldon, Meeko reverts back to his recruiting dialogue and sits forever wherever this happens to happen. And same thing with Aldon. At this point, I changed into AFT, because according to Dr. Google, AFT supports also animals, and EFF doesn't. But this hamster wheel of hell is still rolling. I have tried to dismiss / re-recruit and use AFTs "Tweak - Make follower" spell on both of them. With both of them I got error messages about missing actor values and variables, if my memory serves me right. In any case, the spell failed and that was the point. So, what should I do now? Is it really impossible to have two dogs? Should I just force myself to pick one of them and send them home? Or is there something I have not done yet and could try? Any help would be appreciated.
  6. Hey everyone, I've been modding for a few months now and kind of have the hang of it at least the basics, but still learning as I go so I have a few questions. If there is a topic that solves my question please point me to it in case I missed it. First question, I'm currently using AFT with Recorder and Meeko Reborn as my mod followers and Lydia I've only asked to follow me once since I downloaded AFT. If I wanted to uninstall Recorder or Meeko how do I remove them from AFT so as not to cause any problems? Second question, Anyone that uses or has used Recorder as a follower ever dismiss her and later go back to get her finding her walking around naked? I gave her a set of Crimson Twilight mod armor that I crafted for the both of us then I wanted some quiet time to finish a few quests so I dismissed her. Then when I went back to get her she was walking around the sleeping giant naked with her weapons and goggles around her neck. Not really a complaint just wondering if anyone else had this happen with a mod follower and if it was a bug or anything. She did it with the void armor I had too. [spoiler WARNING for those who haven't finished Dark Brotherhood quest line yet!] [Don't read on if you haven't finished it and don't want it spoiled for you!] Slightly spoiler ish question, I have the convenient horses mod as well as AFT which I've already mentioned. When I received Shadowmere from Astrid the saddle from that my old horse I had bought near the beginning of my playthrough was wearing. I literally watched it hop from the old horse to Shadowmere. Ever since I finished the DB story I've ridden only Shadowmere, but my old horse teleports in on me randomly out of no where for no reason. I use my horn and only Shadowmere disappears and reappears as normal. Is it a bug? Is there some way to stop this from happening? Recorder occasionally attempts to ride the old horse, but changes her mind a summons her own. She uses summoned horses from CH instead of her mod horse Epony. I'm not sure if this is normal or if something is bugged out. CH and everything else seems to be functioning normally otherwise. Sorry for the slightly wordy post just wanted to explain this as best I could. Thank you in advance for all the help.
  7. I recently downloaded Meeko Reborn by BluePianoTwo and L u n a by VRDaphni and VRApollo and GodOfVengeance. They work fine no problems there. I was just wondering if it is safe to download a follower control mod like AFT or one of the others with them both already download and working? I just got a home and I would like to send them to it from time to time when I don't need them as well as managing gear and things like that. Right now when I dismiss them they just return to where I found them. I know there are several follower control mods out there and they all have different things they do as well as things in common which is part of why I don't know which to choose. Which one would be best to use since I have Convenient Horses installed and I don't normally run with more than two followers, one being a animal? How do I go about installing the mod safely with the load order I have? Sorry for so many questions, but I'm still trying to figure everything out without completely breaking my save game or my computer. Thank you in advance for any advice.   8. Greetings. I will first outline the issue, then how I have tried to fix it, then lastly the obvious request for help from a more experienced member of the modding community. So after trying and (correctly) uninstalling UFO and AFT (dismiss follower, then fast travel away), I realised that after dismissing my follower, they would turn up back at the house naked, until you asked them to follow you again, then they will equip clothes / armour in their inventory, but upon dismissing them, they will unequip what gear they are wearing and will not equip their default outfit, even if the correct default items are in their inventory. This leaves them naked until you ask them to follow you again. I notice that people who have used various armour mods experience the same issue, the "naked forever" bug, as some people call it. Selecting the NPC in console and going "equipitem xxxxx" only works while you're in the cell, come back later and they'll be naked. "equipitem xxxxx 1" locks that item, then they won't equip armour. Taking everything off them will not make them spawn their default outfit. I don't like the way that NPC Clothes Changer and Maintainer makes them flash naked for a second. So I noticed that when I use "resetinventory", "resurrect" and "recycleactor" the only items in their inventory when the "showinventory" command is used are the hidden hunting bow and iron arrows. Manually adding back the correct default outfit items using "additem" has no effect, they will not equip clothes when at home. I went into the CK and checked if the default outfit for the actor had been effected at base level by any mods, I unsuccessfully made a plugin that was meant to restore their default outfit (just made sure their default outfit was correct, even added duplicates of the outfit into the inventory with a dagger) I notice that they equipped the dagger I gave them, but they did not equip clothing. I went through the save file with Notepad++ but was unable to locate the particular line that that prevented my follower from equipping clothes. As a side note: I started a new game, just to see if the actor would still be naked, and they're fine. resurrected, recycled, they spawn default gear correctly. So I was wondering if somebody out there with far greater modding prowess than myself would be able to create a mod that you can install, "talk to" an actor and have the option to reset their inventory back to the "default outfit" for that actor (undo what some follower mods and armour mods do to the save file) then uninstall when not needed and have the changes remain (because the save file has been altered, not the scripting) Thanks in advance, this has been doing my head in.

I have been trying trying to get the MCM version that Renn released a while back to allow 100 followers, The script code compiles, and seems to work , the menus seems to populate until I hit the limit of 64, then things get weird. Follower still follow but they stop being managed in the lists. The problem I have is that I know there are a few places in the code to add pAliasX and then link them to the code, but if I do that and make any changes to the ESP file , it breaks. I noticed a few things about the esp file, its got a lot of errors, with ts5edit, I don't know if this it intentional or not. At this point I may just have to recode a whole new follower script,Though I would like to know why this one is borking out when I us the creation kit to make any saved changes. If I Can figure out how to get a good version I will try and make an update to the limit can go higher that the 128 array limit.   10. Hi I have made 4 custom followers in my game. They are all very standard. No custom ai package or anything like that. 1 Nord female Heavy Armor 2H - Located in Rorikstead, Frostfruit inn 1 Nord female Light Armor 1H - Windhelm, Candleheart Hall 1 Dremora male Heavy Armor 2H - Whiterun, Hall of the dead 1 Orc male Heavy Armor 1H - First Located in Riverwood, Sleeping giant inn but relocated him to Moorside inn, Morthal after I discovered his random reappearing behavior. I use the mod Amazing Follower Tweaks. And I don't have any other mods that affect ai or followers except for Bathing beauties luxury suite and Enhanced enemy ai reborn, but I have removed the enemy ai mod. The male orc was dismissed many levels ago but he reappears at random times anywhere in the world. In dungeons, towns, in the middle of nowhere. Sometimes it takes days, sometimes weeks (in game) before he pops up. Sometimes he walks up to me and starts talking, meaning he runs up to me and the dialog menu pops up. I have pressed the reset follower action in the AFT menu but it doesn't do anything. I haven't done any console resets, disable/enable yet. I have been traveling alone for the entire thief guild quest line and the orc is so far the only one that reappears like this. I opened CK and looked at his settings but he has the same settings as the others. Listed below. I deleted him and remade him and put him in another location. But he still reappears at random after I dismiss him again. I will perma remove him soon. But I just want to know if anyone has any ideas of why this happens? I've read that orcs have different behaviors overall compared with other races? Exactly what I don't know? I play as an orc female and wanted my follower orc to be my spouse. That was the idea anyway.   11. So basically, I like to use a lot of custom follower mods for the fun of it. However, all of the multiple follower mods seem to not get along well with them. Right now I'm using Immersive AFT, and I've run into three problems: Not being able to fully dismiss custom voiced followers (still follow but command menu is gone)Not being able to bring up the "follow me" dialogue when I have some followers, but still have room for more.Resetting AFT seems to make all custom voiced follower's incapable of followingAs for the custom voiced follower mods that are causing trouble; it's Garrus Vakarian follower, Tali Zorah follower, Knight Solaire Companion, and Throthgar - A fully voiced follower (though he seems to be the least finicky) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  12. I heard Amazing Follower Tweaks can do stuff with armour that I want to do without all the other bs that mod does. Are there any other mods that do the same thing as the follower armour management like AFT but without all the other crap?
  13. I have started looking for a good follower mod, but I don't know which one I should really use. The top two i'm looking at right now is UFO and AFT however, I don't know which I should go with. I want to have multiple followers and be able to use my home is your home, convenient horses, and other follower mods I may come across too. It would be better if either of these have lower scripts and better compatibility. So which one should I use, or are there any others I should know of? Please let me know if I need to clarify anything.
  14. Hey everyone. So, I've been dipping my toes into the modding pool, and have been trying to make a custom follower. I've managed to make her compatible with UFO and EFF, but when I load her with AFT, everything breaks. I get an error message saying that there's a mod conflict, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fix it. It effects all use of AFT in game. You can't manage anyone, you just get the "mod conflict" message, and it stops as soon as you disable my followers esp. If anyone can help me, I would owe you super duper big time.   15. Reason I'm using AFT is because it allows you to turn your follower into a Werewolf, Vampire, Vampire Lord, and even a Werebear. EDIT: Nevermind, I'm no longer using AFT.
  16. Hello there everyone, I'm having a bit of an issue with most of my followers in Skyrim. You see, barring alot of custom followers, I can not seem to interact with ANYONE now for some reason. When I go to them at their hangout places then they behave just fine, dialogue shows up and all. But the moment after I hit "Follow me" more often than not I'll get this strange option for "Yes, let me show you" and then the follower keeps saying "Lets see it" whenever I try to interact with them, the dialogue list doesn't show up at all. This isn't a random thing for all NPCs, I've kept a list of which NPCs bug out and which don't. Some react normally, while others barely get by. So I've been meaning to get some insight on how to fix this. Here's my mod list: # This file was automatically generated by Mod Organizer.   17. Hi guys, so 2 urgent things I've looked everywhere for a solution and found nothing: 1) I was having a great time using Amazing Tweaks Followers. I have all my followers live in a castle, and I dismiss them there. But when I dismiss them, AFT still registers that I have a follower. So now I'm maxed out on followers, because their limit is like 32 followers. So if I can't fix that, I'd like to change to EFF, where I can have up to 100 followers. But I've looked everywhere on how to do that and I still don't know. As a noob that I am, a clear step-by-step instruction would be excellent. 2) Idk if this is the reason why, but installed EFF and played it together with AFT. Some bugs ensued and I realized what I did and I disabled EFF. But my prime custom follower, Cassadora, just walked off when I started the game. She's super hot so I want her back. I've checked the original place she was, and I checked my house, idk what to do. The day before she walked off I also downloaded Touched by Dibella, but disabled it together with EFF to find the root of all the crashing. I've also noticed that back at my house a couple of followers are missing too. I owe my life to whoever answers me this riddle!!! Thank you in advance!

Hi, i'm searching for an hybrid mod that is compatible with aft or other mod that can make the option so i can change my followers to either vampire or werewolf, i found a few mods that i can make myself an hybrid but those didn't make possible i turn my followers into either of those forms, only if i was already one, either way i'm really looking into those since there are a few followers mods that i think would be great to turn them in either vampire or werewolf since would "look like them" :X sorry the trouble if is the wrong area and thanks since now
  19. I am having trouble with the Ultimate Faction Follower Roleplay Mod. Whenever I get a whiterun guard added by the mod to follow me all the other guards in the barracks have the follower options but they don't follow. I am using AFT, but when I want to use the "make follower" spell, it says that I don't need to because they are already my followers. If I dismiss the first hired guard all guards get the option to follow me. But when I tell one of them to follow me it's the same problem again. Using the AFT option to "summon all" only summons the first guard. Does anybody know how to make this work?

For some odd reason my vanilla and only vanilla flame type destruction spells have a wierd variable, as in the white characters that change depending on your skill level and perks, they have b then the base damage of the spell as a constant and then /b, and the value that is numerical stays at 8 regardless of destruction skill level or perks, and the variables are a non-numerical constant, which (I'm assuming that this is working like any algebra) is being multiplied by a contant than divided by the variable, resulting in just the constant. I'm assuming that this is either a bug from one of my mods, or a mod conflict, although it may be an option in the skyui menu that is enabled and i'm having trouble finding. Second, whenever i try to use AFT's make follower tweak spell, it leads to "AFT Warning: Script Missing Parameter (Mod Conflict)" whenever I try to manage with AFT. Despite modding for a while now, I'm still a bit newbish when it comes to how skyrim's engine works scriptwise, so I'm sorry if this is a dumb mistake. I'm having issues with the picture manager on nexus so I'll just try replying to myself to attach them.
  21. My problem is simple but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to solve it. I've had several problems with AFT over the past few months, the one before this one being random invincible bandits. Since I had installed the Steam Workshop version of the mod in a fit of madness/idiocy, I decided that it must be due to the pure shittiness of installing mods through Steam Workshop for anything other than Left 4 Dead 2 causing all my issues. Given that once I had removed the mod, everything worked smoothly (Or as smoothly as Skyrim ever goes when running around 100 mods) This seems to have indeed been the problem. However, I have of late found I can literally not live without AFT. As in literally, I can't live without it, it is so friggin useful. So, I decided I'd come to the nexus and download it properly. Thus chapter 100984098459 of my saga of issues with mods and Skyrim began. Usually I do pretty well solving things like this on my own, and if it were any other mod, I'd probably just say "f*#@ it" and be done with it, but as I mentioned, I really like AFT. So I thought I'd come to the Nexus and kindly request assistance. TL;DR: Steam Workshop version of AFT f*#@ed my Skyrim with a barbed dildo so I got rid of it, got Nexus version and now s#*!'s f*#@ed up. Again.
  22. I couldn't find an existing thread for this, sorry for repeating threads if there are. Anyway, I am wondering about the side effects of using amazing follower tweaks or related mods to make regular npc's followers. Basically I want a small squad of imperial troops. Is there a reference ID specific to each npc that could help me? AFT has the option "make follower" that is accompanied by a couple of warnings. I wanted to find out more about this (not just AFT). Also is it possible to use the refID which is unique to each npc to change its name without it affecting the others? In fallout nv it would apply the name to all npc of that category. I mean to create a mortal squad of imperial troops and give each one a name. I plan to spawn npcs and then turn them into followers instead of marching into solitude and basically stealing them from the retirement home or the honor of guard duty.   23. I've been having some issues with the AFT mod. For some reason I can't see the AFT tweak command under my powers tab in skyrim on my new character. However, if I load a older character from before it shows up fine. I have tried uninstalling, reinstailling, disabling all other mods, but I still can't get it to work on my new character. The mod works fine otherwise.
  24. I reinstalled my Skyrim (a few weird persistent bugs caused by too many scripts and inexperienced modding attempts) so now I am re-adding mods and I wanted a quick community vote: AFT or UFO? I use FNIS, SKSE, many armour and weapon mods, a few house mods and a multiple marriage mod, which would fit this better?
  25. Can anyone tell me either the location for setting the Maximum number of active followers in AFT or tell me the console command for doing it in game. I have a number of NPC followers and creatures that are useful to me when playing. Many thanks NickiUK
