Hello everyone, so, we all know that new vegas has a bit of an auto aim problem in 3rd person view, you aim to the head, bullet goes wild and hits the chest, this is very noticiable with laser weapons, but happens with every proj weapon in the game. A workaround / fix for this is the console gamesetting command that goes like this setgs fautoaimscreenpercentage -100 this is effective for fixing the proj going wherever it wants and actualy hitting where the crosshair is pointing, but has 2 major flaws, one, it's a gamebryo setting so it resets to default at every game restart, even loading a quicksave reset it, that one I could live with, made a quick bat file for setting it to -100 but, the MAJOR problem is that, the setting goes to default every time you talk to an NPC, that means every time you exit a conversation, you need to run that commmand, gets old fast, so I was thinking on two ways of handling it with some help from the big brains here, I suck at scripting so. 1. Make a script that executes that line (setgs fautoaimscreenpercentage -100) after one leaves any conversation, that asumming that you can call a game setting console command on an ingame script... 2. bind the command line script to a key, so can it be pressed on demand for easier setting. Can anyone give me a hand with this one? thanks!

I'm trying to play this game with a PS4 controller on the PS4 console version of Fallout 4 but the game by default has this terrible issue with the aiming that I think is called aim acceleration or mouse smoothing. Either way it feels awful and I prefer raw input. I looked to see if there was a console mod that could fix it and it looks like there isn't. Is there any way for me to fix this on console or am I just screwed out of luck? Thanks.

One of the biggest things about the OG RE4 is that the guns had two things about them that differ from the remake. Perfect accuracy that has been fixed with a mod and, when you aim the gun, it would aim the laser dot (or reticle) at the same X/Y coordinate on the screen every single time. The second point is my request. It makes quick aiming and reactions much more predictable and accurate when trying to speedrun the game. Now, if someone could also make a mod that replaces the reticle with a red dot with the shaking, that'd be awesome and extra credit Anyhow, thanks for reading!

Hy, i have a pretty common issue as it seems, but i can't find a solution with google or in this forum. Maybe someone can help me. My game often freezes infight, this happens at random, but surely in a fight, the most part of the time while aiming and shooting, or just shooting in general. I would say the chance to the game freezing while aiming and shooting, is 8/10. The target does not even need to get hit, it will even freeze, while the projectile is on it's way. If i play without fighting, like building settlement/just traveling questing, talking and so on, the game can run like unlimited without issues, 8h in a row for example. But when i go infight, just aiming at a enemy and shooting at him, no matter if i use vats or manuel, the chance that the game will freeze is extremly huge. It even can be like: - game freezes because shooting on a enemy - closing game, restarting, loading in, shooting at him again, BAM freeze - closing again, restarting, loading in, shooting at him, nothing happens, game is going on perfectly - game can now freeze again in the next moments of the fight or is just running good for a while This can even happen outfight, just shooting around while aiming, but mostly just infight and can get extremly annoing, because of restarting the game like 10 times in 10 minutes. Any constructive advise is very welcomed! :smile:

I have no idea which mod would cause this and i have over 500 plugins but most workshop,armor,weapons,minor tweaks i have merged into their respective plugins. Load Order below. So here is the thing randomly it seems any weapon I am using(not melee) when fired will shoot the round off in a random direction, and I am not talking spread off I mean sometimes shooting off at a right angle to the barrel off. Now its not always that bad and about 80% of the time the guns fire fine. Now where the bullet goes there is still a small spread as if i am aiming there. Hip fire,sights,or scoped aiming changes nothing. Its happening to vanilla and mod weapons whether they are using mod ammo or standard. Vats works fine. It can be shot 1(target),Shot 2(way off),Shot 3(target) or All Shots(Way off). Honestly I would just want to know if there is a global value all guns use for aiming,spread,etc that I could check for conflicts or errors. But if anyone has any other ideas feel free to let me know. Thanks Load Order:

This is my load order for skyrim. I have TES5Edited all the files and everything is clean. In my game when i go to shoot a bow in first person the bow aims way off left. I have looked up things before i put something on this forum and i saw the problem have with the immersive first person mod and thats not my problem because i dont have that mod. So it is something else. Can anyone help me on this please. When the dragons get on a roof, the aim goes down. When they are in the air, arriving on the roof, leaving the roof or staying in other places, the bug does not happen, only when they are standing on the roof. The Sofia follower mod is one of my favorites. My single concern is that Sofia ALWAYS bumps into me. When we're out walking. When we're sneaking. When we're on horseback. Stop my horse, look over there at the - BUMP, I'm now looking at something else. Ready my bow, aim... BUMP. Godammit, Sofia! If I open the plugin in CK, what should I look for to change some values so that she never gets closer than a certain distance to me?

The intention is to have the script detect if the weapon has a scope, then set the mouse sensitivity to a preset amount if == 1. Now, this does work, HOWEVER, it also returns items that do not have scopes but COULD have scopes ie the Varmint Rifle. Ok, so I got back into Fallout NV after a while, and installed a whole bunch of mods, only until recently have I noticed that I aiming down sight doesn't zoom in, which I guess is ok, but when i got a rocket launcher(Anabelle, to be precise) I noticed that I can't aim with it at all, the same problem happen with a Tesla Cannon, can some one help? Hello guys. I have some problem. I am looking for some mid which will fix my problem with my bow and camera. It is hard to explain it, especially when my english sucks. :D When im using bow and try to aim my bow aims somewhere away, not the crosshiar way.. any suggestions, please?

Can anyone edit the animation for aiming with a crossbow (holding the attack button) so the crossbow moves to the center of the screen pointing out, like aiming down the sights of a pistol? I play w/o the crosshair and the current 'hip-fire' aiming of the crossbow makes it a little difficult to use. And, if possible, also edit the thirdperson animation to work well with Immersive First Person. That's entirely optional and I know will be very difficult to do since aiming with a bow in IFP is almost impossible, but it couldn't hurt to try.

Hey Guys, I'm having a huge issue here... does anyone notice that when they're in 3rd person and holding the pistol or a laser gun that the gun is kinda pointing upwards meanwhile your aim dot is centered? Please note this is only when you are zoomed in "holding down right mouse" Is this fixable? modable? Please forgive my ignorance if it is... or there is a mod out for it already, as I haven't found anything. Thanks !!!

There are two mods for toggle aim on this website and I tried both of them but to no avail. They basically utilize the autohotkey script. I run the program and it gives me a dialogue box indicating that the script is running. But when actually in game I am still forced to hold down the right mouse button to aim. Does anyone know any fixes for this?

I am currently attempting to create an archery animation replacement (no new idles) mod for Skyrim. Let's call it, "Archery Aim and Aesthetics" The goal is to provide bow animations that function better alongside "Immersive First Person". It will also correct for the bow shaking that occurs while your character is moving, as that effects the trajectory of the arrow (arrow is released from where it connects to the players animation). I have already gone through the effort of acquiring the half dozen programs needed for animation in Skyrim (including Havok Content Tools, which may or may not be hosted on an obscure Chinese file hosting site) and have produced a test animation to make sure I'm animating correctly. My test animation (character jumping in place) works in game perfectly, but only when it replaces animations with no functions. By functions I mean firing the bow, equipping the bow, etc. When I replace the bow release animation "bow_release.hkx" the character no longer fires an arrow in game when when should (the bow and arrow are still oddly stuck the the players hands though...). Why is this? Are those functions controlled by the animation somehow? My question is this: 1) How can I successfully replace an animation in Skyrim that has a function (arrow firing, un-equip bow, etc) without breaking its functionality? I know it's possible, as there are one or two bow animation mods that have done this. Could this possibly have to do with behavior files? 2) Is it possible to edit the timing of those actions (when the arrow fires/bow sounds play), and if so, how? If this second question is not possible, or too difficult, I can always work around the existing timing of the actions. I greatly appreciate modders who take the time to pass on their knowledge and experience to those who are still learning. Without you, Skyrim would not be what it is today. Thank you in advance!

Okay, i'll get to the point directly. Most people that plays Fallout 4 using ranged weapons won't be disturbed by this, but i am (and i believe there are others like me). Aiming & shooting with 3rd person view is IMPAIRING for me. It's true that we can use L-ALT (default) to change view but for some games they have mechanics to make this easy for the players: 3rd person view as default view for walking/running >> hold right-mouse to enter 1st person view (aiming/scope mode) >> release the right-mouse to return to 3rd person view. And here in this thread, i ask to you all good modders to help me with this 'issue'. Pleeeeaassee make a mod to achieve that. So many thanks beforehand. I know you guys can do it. Cheers :D

The idea is simple: to be able to walk at a higher pace when aiming a gun. I've been trying to do it myself, but I've hit a dead end. So if there's anyone out there who knows a deal about how to make something like this work, I'd love you forever. In further detail: my idea was to add a perk to the game called "Rusher" with a low level req, medium Agility req and a Guns OR Energy Weapons skill req. What the perk should do: it should allow your character to move at full speed whilst aiming through the iron sights. (Kinda like the Ranger perk in Skyrim does with drawing your bow). If anybody can help me, it'd be much appreciated.

does anyone know how to stop energy weapons like the plasma rifle and laser rifle from moving into the middle of my view? can they be more like fallout 3 classic aiming where they stayed on the right side of the screen and never moved? it bugs me when they block my screen and what i am shooting at. what field do i change in the editor thanks.

So I've started playing new vegas again and I've run into a problem. When I sneak up on somebody and have not been spotted I'll aim at them and they will turn and look at me and say "That's not a good idea." It completly screws me up. Am i supposed to believe that people can magicly sense when I'm pointing a gun at the back of their head? Anyway, I'm just wondering if there's a mod that fixes this? and if so can somebody give me a link?

LE FIX: AI's aim against you, when you're on a horse.

Hello. When you're on a horseback, you can consider yourself invulnerable, since AI's aim isn't accurate against you +stupid AI's AI, lol. Ok, may be it'll be really hard to make AI smarter against player who is on a horse, but at least is there a way to fix the aim for them? If you fight archers on a horse, you can just... stand still without moving, and you'll see that they always miss you shooting the same position a bit to left of you (or to the right from NPC's point of view). So the only way to get hit by a mage/archer on a horseback is to wait till he shoots and specially catch an arrow/bolt/whatever by fast moving to the left. Can someone fix their aim, so they actually may hit you sometimes? It can be useful when you directly sprint to them on your horse, so they might even hit you with fixed aim, not miss 100% of times. Melee NPCs: they are idiots, they use power attack when you're close to them, so the only way to get hit is to stop and wait till he hits you, and still HE MAY MISS striking air on the left of your horse. Fixing their behavior against mounted targets would be nice (remove ability to perform power attacks, because mounted target will be far away, when it's finished) and fix the aim the same way, as with archers. If melee NPCs will use regular fast attacks each time you're near them, it could make mounted combat a bit balanced, because right now you can easily kill anything with an iron dagger on 1st lvl with any overhauls or mods, simply because they will always miss you. I googled and searched on nexus, but nothing, there're some mounted combat mods, horse mods, I use "Convenient Horses" myself, but nothing fixes AI's aim. Also it's not a problem with some other mods I may use, since none of them alters AIs in some way and also they hit you normally when you're on foot. And I have such problem only when I'm on horse. Hi everyone i had an idea while playing Mass Effect 3 but i know nothing of making mod. And i did not see any mods doing what i really want. My idea is a mods that make the Right Click(trigger) Zoom closer to the character head. This way the camera could be less closer when not aiming. And Zoom in a lot more when aiming. Like Many Action T.P.S do right now. tomb Raider, Gears of war, Mass Effect. Uncharted. I think it would make the third person more enjoyable. I am using Dynamic camera to change camera position. I also don't think its really hard I would say its only number change somewhere in the BSA files. There are several mods that alter the Eagle Eye perk and other ones that make Stamina deplete with actions that would not cost Stamina in the vanilla version. Being an archer myself, I am quite aware that the most tiring part of this sport is drawing the bow. Aiming does not require additional physical strength, but it must be done in conjunction with the drawing (as if they were both the same thing - you don't first draw and then aim; you draw and aim at the same time). So, what I am suggesting is a mod that would: 1) Make stamina deplete while you are aiming with a bow (even if not using Eagle Eye); 2) Make your hands shake a little while you are aiming, or when you are running low of Stamina to reduce accuracy; 3) Make Eagle Eye zoom as it currently does and reduce your hand shake after some time zooming (so you would still need to spend some stamina to concentrate on the shot and use the perk effectively); 4) [Optional] make Eagle eye increase the consumption of stamina while being used. I have no idea if this would be possible, but these are my suggestions. I hope you can comment giving your suggestions as well.
