Since it's autumn, it got me to thinking that there should be a kind of autumn climate overhaul mod, similar to all the winter, spring, summer and tropical overhauls there are for Skyrim, so that those who like autumn can get in the mood, even when in Skyrim. I have not been able to find such a mod. Now, I don't really know how much work this would actually require. This isn't as much a request, as it is a suggestion, in case some modder capable and interested in this kind of mod (who for some reason hasn't already thought of it) finds it a good idea. I guess this may be kind of a late post, since autumn is already here, and I have no idea how much work actually goes into these kinds of mods or how much time it'd take to make. I imagine that doing it the "easy" way by just replacing a bunch of trees, plants and textures with ones from the Rift wouldn't be a MONSTEROUS undertaking, but I really don't know the technicalities that goes into these sort of things, so it may be more complicated than I think. Personally, I think it'd be best if the aim was to transform Skyrim in a not entirely lore-friendly or immersive way, by basically replacing many of the evergreens and such plants that don't really change during autumn with leaf trees, preferably introducing more variety amongst them compared to the trees we see in the Rift. I'd say it should also involve a wider range of color than seen in the Rift, where the trees are mostly golden, it'd be nice to see more orange and red leaves as well. Also maybe the spriggans could be retextured to be season appropriate, a spriggan with red leaves would look cool. I don't really have any expectation that anyone will do this, neither in part or in whole, especially not when autumn is already here, but I'm posting anyway, in case a miracle feels like happening. I guess if anyone wants this kind of mod they can leave a comment to show their support for this idea. Thank you for reading and perhaps considering the idea.

Hey everyone, I'm working on my first mod which is going to be a little fort and a dungeon off the side of Throat of the World. My problem is it's always snowing where I've built my fort, and I'd like to give the fort the illusion that it's snowing everywhere around the fort, but not on the inside. Is there any way to do that? If not, is there a way to just set weather to clear in certain areas? This is my first post on the forum, so thank all of you in advance for answering. EDIT: Apparently it's not my first post, it says I have 27 total.

As a console gamer I play Skyrim and become frustrated with the lack of immersion I feel as I play through the world. While it is a massive world and I never get tired of it for long, I feel a bit robbed by the vanilla game of the things that should have been. Needless to say, I really envy the PC gamers, who have the ability to mod and transform their experiences. But even so, I see these mods and feel that, although they improve the game and make it feel more real, they often don't go the extra steps that would really bring the game to a whole new level. I tend to agree with people who comment that the map of Skyrim is far too small: especially considering the diversity of the terrain and the climates that are implied throughout the holds. In reality the changes in terrain and climate would never be as sudden or spontaneous as they are in the vanilla game. It also annoys me that there are no seasonal changes to the weather. Even the Rift with its temperate forests should see the snows of winter. Obviously such drastic transitions over such an expansive map would be exceedingly difficult, but they seem extremely possible to me. The environments shouldn't look the exact same no matter what time of the year it is. And why are there no holidays? There’s the burning of King Olaf Festival (which ridiculously takes place once per week) but there’s no way that’s all. I read up on the holiday system that they used to have in older games, and how shops would offer sales and discounts on those certain days. I think that we should be able to have that again; in order to increase our immersion into the world, and give the players more to experience and explore. I would absolutely love to see a truly immersive season mod like this. And why not let it affect the spawning of plants, ingredients, and animals? I know that some immersive animal mods send bears to hibernate in the winter, as well as spawning animal offspring models in the spring and summer. Why not let it affect the availability of plants and ingredients? After all, certain plants only bloom at certain points of the year. The potency of the ingredients could change with time as well. A thistle towards the end of its bloom in autumn may not be as potent as if it were only just blooming. The effects could still be the same, of course. However, let us say with certain plants and fungi at certain times of the year have different effects. Maybe soil quality too could have a factor even? Maybe plants grown in less suitable terrains, climates, and soils could be more or less potent. Perhaps the seasons could have effects on the behaviors of the animals and the quality of the items they drop. Maybe the venison from a deer or an elk taken in the depth of winter will be less nutritious as a result of the unavailability of food in the leaner months. Deer, elk, horses, and other less hardy herbivores could “migrate” to richer pastures from season-to-season: spawning further south in the fall and winter, then back north in the spring and summer. Animals like snowy sabercats, wolves, foxes, goats, caribou, horkers, frost trolls, snow bears, and other more hardy creatures in the north would stay where they are; better adapted to the cold of the north. It would make sense as well if during different times of the year, their fight or flight behaviors would change with the seasons as well around their young. Predators in the north in the winter where prey have migrates south would be far more aggressive, and desperate for food than those in the south. The more aggressive would also become considerably more-so while rearing their young. Not only might they more voraciously seek food, but when players near the young, they could be more defensive and possibly more powerful. Even foxes might attack if a player ignores her warming snarls and gets too close to her den full of kits. When a player finds a bear sow with cubs, said cubs might climb up a tree while their mother might give a warning first or just flat-out attack. They might also choose to run off into the brush at considerable speed and only attack if pursued or cornered. Prey animals like deer and goats on the other hand would run off into cover upon even hearing a player. They would be harder to sneak up on as they become more alert in order to protect their young. The passive herbivores would rather run off than fight players; but if they corner them or get too close to the young, they are likely to attack. The larger the animal is, then the more likely they are to say “enough is enough” and attack. Elk and caribou (caribou even less so) may not be as likely to attack as animals like boar, goats, or horses might be. The males of each species, such as stags (the deer with the giant horns) would be the acceptations. The “rutt” in the fall seasons would also cause these male herbivores to become more aggressive towards each other; facing off to impress females. Male and sow bears would become aggressive towards each other if a sow has cubs, but will briefly travel in pairs during mating season. The same could be true of sabercats or trolls. Giants and mammoths too would undergo even greater changes throughout the year, due to the fact that they have developed their own culture, centered around herding mammoths. Giants being intelligent as well as shepherds may make winter preparations starting in the fall; such as dressing themselves for the cold in pelts or making “stockpiles” of meats and other foods. Perhaps they keep themselves and their mammoths closer to the fires, or leading their charges to different pastures than they would in the warmer months. They might move them to new camps all together, or even make mobile encampments in the aforementioned richer pastures. Then in the warmer months the giants would dress more lightly, and move their wards back to their summer pastures or back to their “fairweather” camps. Elementals as well should be affected by the changing of the seasons. Spriggans would fall back into their trees, to hibernate through the colder months. If encountered, they will not stir from their trees unless their trees are disturbed. Then they would rely almost purely on controlled animals nearby to attack. This is why they might convince animals to winter near their selected lairs: providing them with shelter in exchange for defense. Ice wraiths could spawn in greater abundance all over, during the cold months of winter, but retreat back to the colder places of the province as winter ends and spring begins. Spring would bring stronger and more numerous spriggans, as life blooms around Skyrim. Their melee and leaching attacks would be more powerful, and any animals would they control would gain more strength. As the spring turned into summer, their attacks would become more like the vanilla attacks. And as summer turned to autumn and fall, they would rely more on their leeching power, as if storing energy for the winter. Birds too would migrate south to other provinces or stay for the winter, depending on their species. Some birds might only arrive in Skyrim temporarily, for a month or so as they stopover on their way to nesting grounds in other provinces. The nests of wild birds and fish would only spawn eggs in spring, as opposed to year round. Please, I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on these thoughts.

Hi, I found that topic : Crysis 3 vs Skyrim The guys thinks Skyrim looks better than Crysis 3, well I don't care about which looks better, but I care about the screenshot he linked ! They look gorgious and I didn't manage to get the same quality even with a 35Gb skyrim folder + ENBs (well my game looks very good too) Some example : http://i.imgur.com/1qO8vh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/InYzGh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/9w2yBh.jpg Have a look to the rest : http://imgur.com/a/CT8ZX So, in my opinion there's Skyrim Flora Overhaul, textures pack obviously, a grass densifier mod and an ENB (I have no idea about Climate of Tamriel, since I have never used it... my enb was designed without.) In fact, I'm particularly interested in the ENB, it reminds me K ENB (especially the K ENB Extensive which is AWESOME) but it remains a bit different, more realistic tha K ENB.) Any ideas ?

Real Clouds by Soolie Coming soon...... (2nd August) Pretty much does what it says on the tin. These clouds are real 3D objects which will react to the current weather. You can touch them, fly through them, fly over them, fly under them, drink them when they rain on you (you can see rain in the distance)....THE SKY'S THE LIMIT :D Clouds are controlled by a script which will give the cloud layer a random height and coverage based on the current weather type. There are also chances of 'extreme' events, such as 100% coverage at a low height, or even no clouds at all. In addition to regular clouds, you will also encounter rain clouds which dump their load off in the distance. Rain clouds also double as fog at close distances as the rain effect can look like fog up close. And all this with no noticeable performance hit! :D AND it should be compatible with pretty much everything :D Please feel free to leave any comments suggestions or questions in the comments  http://i.imgur.com/4PlA0LN.jpg http://i.imgur.com/JgEF9Us.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Xc5b5UF.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pbGbso6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/EoLL17H.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WE0NVdp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6nSd0eg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/eozZOHq.jpg http://i.imgur.com/PmJPJNp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/i4nlbaZ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/FT0AzZa.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WOUcBdY.jpg http://i.imgur.com/HxTGEJk.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1mjhF5l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/7GXdQ0g.jpg

Just a papyrus newbie question, I understand how to alter a climate using the CK. However, I was hoping to change the sunrise and sunset properties dynamically with a script, but don't see any FormID's associated with sunrise begin/end. Is this possible? If so, what should I be looking for in either CK/CK Wiki /SSEedit to help me along my way? Thanks for reading!

I know this is a big ask, but I was wondering if someone could possibly convert Frontier's clothing based overheating and freezing mechanics into a standalone mod for New Vegas. Frontier introduced some amazing advances in modding, and one of its features was a way your character was affected by how cold or warm it was outside (Based on the ambient temperature) so wearing certain armors became more important than just the raw DT or DR they provided. I have personally wanted something like this ever since Imp of the Perverse first created Ambient Temperature, but I've never figured out how to do it myself.

SSE Lower the sun due to Skyrim's latitude for realism
MALLIMOOSH posted a topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Since Skyrim is a northern climate, the sun should not be overhead at noon. But the shadows on things show that it is. The sun should stay lower, for example the height of the sun in Oslo, Norway in summer peaks at 54 degrees. Skyrim's sun should be no higher than 70 degrees at noon. -
So I've been working on this small worldspace, and everything seemed to be going pretty well. Lately, however, I've noticed that the colours in the worldspace seem a lot duller and more muted than the Mojave. Also, there seems to be a gray/brown haze blanketing the area. Is there any way to fix this? I've tried switching the climate up, but this didn't seem to help.

It'll probably out around this week or next week ! This is my First mod everyone  I'm only 16 so my English isn't Strong. this mod take me quite a month to finish cuz I've trying to create this as lore-friendly and good-quality as possible ! Dawnguard and Dragonborn are required(for those amazing bethesda assets) This mod is overhauled almost everything in Wyrmstooth. Listed below. * New creature added to the island as encounters and some fixed location to make the island fresh and alive !(Morrowind like creatures.) * New Morrowind style flora and muchrooms added for immersion (because Wyrmstooth once was a volcano haha :3 ) * New items such as ingredients and weapons added to the island. * Some interesting and challenging Creature that scripted the AI and Combat tactics throughout the island! * Re Navmesh the island to match the new object position. * More to come! This mod may be a little spin-off from original Wyrmstooth. But when I first test this its feel like " Oh this mod change Wyrmstooth into a REAL DLC with many more interesting contents ". Also Lore-friendly too !
