Fallout 4 Army Mod (Private Army Mod, Enclave Commander type Mod) Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen! Wouldn't you love to control your own private army in Fallout 4? I know I would! This is going to be an extensive mod request post. Feel free to share your own ideas! I'm sure some of you have tried the Fallout 3 and New Vegas enclave commander mod, here I propose something similar, with perhaps a few differences. Please note that everything here is subject to change at the modder's leisure. This merely serves as a foundation. I also take it for granted that the existence of this mod depends upon the release of the geck, I do not expect any pre-geck version. Basic functions: -2 different ways to call in soldiers. A. Vertibird, using a smoke grenade. B. Ground support using a flare gun. Can be used indoors as well (the flare projectile has some sort of distress beacon). Soldiers spawn X distance away and travel to the flare location. It will take more time for the soldiers to arrive, but it'll be a much cheaper alternative than the vertibird. -Command key. Press to get four options. Maybe more? A. Ground support option. 1. Once pressed you will open a menu showing what soldiers to call for. Once you've made your selection the player can shoot a flare and the selected soldiers will eventually show up. B. Vertibird support option. 1. Like ground support option, but with close-air-support, bombing, strafing run options included. Once you've selected your troops you can choose whether the vertibird should land to drop them off, or if they should jump down using power armor, or ropes. C. Commands. 1. Basically troop behavior for currently spawned soldiers, formations, et cetera. D. Configure. 1. General mod functionality. -Pick gear for soldiers in-game. No more gecking around! Players should be able to change the equipment of their soldiers seamlessly throughout the game. They should be able to pick what gear soldiers will spawn with. This will save the modder a ton of headache from people messing things up in the geck and then whining: "OMGZ it doesnt work u suk cannon balls, bad mod is bad!11!!" It will make the mod, mod friendly. This entire process will be handled by a mannequin template system. A. Mannequin Template. You build it in your settlement, then equip it with weapons and armor. You pick a name for the mannequin and a behavior style (combat behavior, et cetera). If you give it more than one piece of the same type of weapon or armor, it will chose randomly between them upon spawn. If given power armor and ordinary armor, it will spawn with both, thus using ordinary armor when the PA is broken. If given a rifle, pistol and melee weapon, the soldier should, upon spawn, (based on behavior) prioritise using the rifle, then switch to pistol if rifle is lost, then to melee if the pistol is lost. Grenades and other gear should be used smartly. There should perhaps be a limit to how many mannequins you can create, so that the spawn menu wont be completely cluttered. Perhaps you could organize them in sections or groups too? -Cost. Now that we have settlements making us more caps than a petty soda factory, everything should have a cost. Caps only. A. Soldiers cost based on their X level above or below the player character. They level with the player too. B. Spawned items. When a soldier spawn, X amount of their cost should be calculated based on the total value of all the items they spawn with. C. Air-support, bombardments, et cetera, should have a rather high cost. -Death. The soldiers should not have the same level of mortality as ordinary companions, meaning, they should not get down to "rest" when low on health. They should simply gib and die, just like your enemies. This is very important. THEY SHOULD GIB EASILY. I WANT TO SEE BODY PARTS. FIRE FOR THE FIRE GODS! SCORCHED FLESH FUSED WITH METAL. BLOOD STAINED ARMOR AND GORY GORY HALLELUJAH! Sorry about that, let's... move on. How the mod potentially turns out depends on the modder and the way scripts work. I'm just giving a basic template for how it could work. I have no skills with scripting, only minor gecking. Now all we need to do is find the willing modder. Please share your thoughts and contribute with ideas, concepts. Perhaps even help find/create a mod team? A mod that is pretty much essential with this one, is an increased spawns mod. But such a mod should be standalone. Regards, Vincente

Hi all, Newb here... I want to add a commander ability to the top of the UI, next to the Call Evac button. Like what the LW Leader mod did with the Command Range button. I tried to copy form LW, but they use listeners and it's way beyond my skill, or what I am trying to do. I want a simple thing. Click the button, and things happen. My question is how do you even get a button to show up there? If anyone can point me in the right direction, it'll be much appreciated. I fear I may need to get into listeners. Can someone help with that if there's no way around? Thank you.

Somebody smarter than me PLEASE do the good people of Todd Howarddom a favor and make a Enclave Commander-esque mod for Fallout 4 at the soonest available opportunity, even if that means waiting for the CK to be released. A mod like that in Fo4 with all the Vertibird mechanics for the BoS/Minutemen and Teleportation for Institute Synths would be a real spectacle. Enclave Commander was always an essential mod for me in previous games, there are few things better than roaming the merciless wasteland with a squad at your back ready to bring the pain. it made the game feel more tactical, and exciting. I know, I know the game already let's you kind of do this but in a very limited way. Enclave Commander let you call any number of forces from any faction to anywhere in the game world that will follow you to hell and back. I would love to see that return to the game. Hope this happens, I woud love to RP a BoS squad leader.

Enclave commander was my favorite mod in Fallout 3, hands down. Being able to call in bad-ass soldiers and having complete control over them was amazing. You could raid entire cities, roam the wasteland with an army behind you, take prisoners, enslave your enemies, call down orbital airstrikes, and gun down anyone with the massive amounts of manpower. Why anything like this been done in Skyrim yet? What this would entail: Ability to summon and control groups and specific types (pentus oculus, draugr, brotherhood of steel, dragons, mages, archers, swordfighters, etc..). This could be done through shouts or perhaps a horn? Control would be much more complicated but not impossible. An item, shout, or hotkey could bring up an interface allowing command of groups or subgroups, things like, attack methods, movement, following methods. Mass commands such as "Loot Bodies" could command all soldiers under your control to take the weapons and armor of your foe, and perhaps deposit them somewhere. The ability to imprison foes, and do things such as, execute, enslave, or demand payment for release would be awesome. Something to balance the perk, and make it lore friendly, such as a skill tree or an in-game vendor, whom you have to pay in exchange for soldiers or new strategies and command options. The possibilities are endless, but we need to stay within the realm of completion before expanding. What I'm looking at for a very early version would to be able to summon and command one group, such as pentus oculus. If anyone is up for this, please let me know, I'd do it myself but I have no idea how. I probably will regardless, but if anyone is willing to take this on and/or train me alongside them through development, that would be great. Let me know your thoughts, ideas, suggestions on the matter. Thanks!
