SSE No paparazzi! Please disable all fame/skill comments.
AndyPandyW posted a topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Please could someone make a mod that disables all the fame and skill based comments from guards and other NPC's. Fed up of my vampire constantly being told I look like I have Covid, and apparently my master thief with a bounty of 0 was caught on camera and everyone in Tamriel saw me on Whiterun's Most Wanted on Tamriel TV, as everyone is calling me a sneak thief. Also, how do people know by looking at me that I'm a master of illusion, and why does everyone know I'm the Dragonborn just by looking at me when they've never seen my face before? The only one that doesn't really annoy me is the comments on equipped armour/weapons as that's at least believable. The one about "you must be a mage with robes like that" is slightly annoying; maybe I'm just a muggle with style. I saw a mod that prevents the vampire cure from triggering from rumours by adding an impossible condition to the trigger. Could this work to disable the dialogue comments as well? Thanks folks. -
The game allows you to romance multiple companions, so it doesn't make sense to me why some companions don't like you flirting with other companions in their presence, or expanding your relationship. I know jealousy is still a thing in real polyamorous and/or open relationships, but this doesn't seem to be a direct-enough way of representing that for that to be an intentional design choice. I would like to see flirting and romancing other companions (and characters like Magnolia) be made neutral affinity actions rather than negative affinity ones across all romanceable companions. I would also like to see some changes to how companions interact with each other. Just as an example, Piper reacts negatively to Cait's "threesome" line. But if you're romancing both of them, and considering that both of them can date a Sole Survivor of any gender, I'd personally expect Piper to be open to the idea, or at least less snarky in turning it down. I'm sure there are more interactions like this. Replacing some of the dialogue and facial expressions in these interactions with other lines of dialogue or even "hmm"s and grunts, where appropriate, should make them more reasonable for if both companions are being romanced.

Hi everyone! I'm currently at work on a custom-voiced, male follower mod for Skyrim Special Edition, which I hope to release next year. He's a scientist, philosopher, and amateur musician, so will occasionally sing, and will also be quest-aware and comment on your surroundings in the same vein as Inigo, Vilja and Sofia (though I can't imagine getting 7000-odd lines recorded before TES VI is released!) As it's still very early stages and nothing's set in stone yet, I thought I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions for things they'd like to see in a follower mod! I'm looking for cool ideas, things that might bother you about currently available followers, features you've always thought would be useful/interesting/fun, etc. Any and all thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks!

Blah, Blah, Blah I am attempting to make a mod that consists of class based equip-able tattoos that offer selective perks to what you would think that character archetype would benefit from. Im starting with just a pirate and if it goes well, creating more based on the Oblivion classes. Right now Im just looking for ideas/crits, comments, or possibly collabs for later along the project. (Background: Freelance Graphic Designer) More words... I like the newer skill system in Skyrim (better with the Legendary Experience System or mods) but miss the class based perks. I want to start off with making a pirate class, because I didnt like the way I was playing my last one with my character using "The Scarlett Mod" (the mod is great tho). I also love tattoos and can suspend lore enough to add them into the game (the oldest sample of tattooing is from 3100 BC). So it snowballed into making some craftable, equip-able enchanted tattoos that are class based to show off your loyalty to the profession, with set bonuses as well as negatives as you become more specialized. So Far... Like I said I've just been trying to consolidate ideas and logical progression for the perk and skill bonuses. I used the Oblivion class system for creating the character traits, and came up with: Specialization/Guardian: Stealth/Thief Attributes: Personality & Speed Skills: Blade [One Handed; Daggers & light swords], Security, Speech, Illusion, Mercantile, Acrobatics, Athletics* *Since the last two aren't directly applicable as skills, and Mercantile has been heavily blended into speechcraft, I thought that making them as supportive passives would make the most sense, that way the other classes aren't completely tied into specific generic skills (when I make them) This specific combination gives the Pirate the Silver Tongue of the Agent(5/7), Nimbleness of the Acrobat(4/7), and the obsession with and ability to find shiny things as the Thief(4/7).** **It would be 5/7 for all of them if Marksman was used instead of Illusion, but manipulation seems a better trait for a pirate than archery skills do. My current list of possible perks for Items and sets are: Waterbreathing perk Swimming perk (speed/endurance) High Value Chests glow Highlight NPCs with jewelry Better prices for jewelry, gold/silver items Cheaper Bribery Better Intimidation Pickpocket chance higher More Septims in pockets and purses Higher Dagger speed Higher Dodge chance Sleeping near a harbor ----------------------------------- ??? Ridiculousness Drinking with allies ups their stats Mini (low stat) Troll follower/summon something with explosives I have also taken into account other mods that use alternate equipment slots for fewer compatibility issues with some popular mods. I am currently working with 8 equipment slots, which interfere with: 5/7 Bandolier slots ... sry 2/9 Immersive Jewelry (L & R Ring Fingers) 2/9 Apachii's Divine Elegance Store (Belt & Armlets) Does not interfere or use cloaks or backpack slot. I dont use any others that it conflicts with. I would appreciate any input  Thanks 'cleaR

Star-mystyk did a great job with their mod "No Companion Junk Comments". http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10365/? <-- Seen here. But.... they left in all the "nice" comments that companions make about the items you pick up. And if you read the description and posts pages, you can see that the mod author seems to have zero plans to change this. For example, they said: "Those ones are in a different list which I left unedited on purpose, as IMO, it's not as annoying." [<-referencing the "nice" comments] and "Sure, I could do several more versions (for shipment comments, workbench comments, an all-in-one junk/shipment/workbench) but I don't particularly want to as neither of those annoy me enough to have them in my game." But with as much as I pick up, and I'm sure for others as well, it gets highly irritating when companions constantly want to make comments about it, whether they're nice or rude. Can someone please remedy this? Please comment if you think this is a good idea! Let's keep this on the front page of mod requests! Also please comment if you are willing to work on this.

Howdy Nexus: I am a bit new to the whole idea of a forum, so let me first say: If I have posted this in the wrong place, please let me know. I ask because this is less a question about Skyrim Mods, and more about a possible addition to the Nexus website. Or if I have made any other blunders in my internet community noobishness, let me know. I am always willing to learn. With that out of the way... The point of this post: --- Comment Tracking Anchors --- Premise I have over the past few months been much more vocal here on the Nexus, mostly commenting on pictures, or mod pages with my thoughts. At first it was fairly easy to remember what I had posted where, and so I could easily go back and check to see if any replies had been made to it. Or, I made a comment that was rhetorical and so had no interest in going back to see if a reply had been made. Problem Now however, I might make 20+ comments in one day on a wide variety of pictures or mods. So my problem is that there seems to be no good way to keep up with those comments, except by remembering where they are. It is entirely possible that I am blind, and the Nexus already has a system in place for this, if so, let me know. So I end up spending quite a bit of time tracking those particular images down in order to find my comments to see if anyone replied. Or on a mod page, sometimes the forum is blowing up and my comment will simply get lost among them all, and it takes some time to find it again. Solution? I propose that a good way to resolve the issue of my forgetfulness (and hopefully enhance the Nexus as a whole) is to have a little anchor icon next to the Reply | Edit buttons called "Anchor" or "Follow" or something of the sort. The intent being there be an easy way to add a comment to a watch list that would give me update notifications similar to the Notifications and Messages that are already in place. As a side note, if this were implemented it would be good to also add the option to remove the anchor, so you don't get notifications about stuff that no longer interests you. Similarly perhaps there could be some settings on each users profile page for "Anchor Expiration Time" with a drop down box giving options like "Delete Anchors after X days/months." --- ----------------------------------------- --- This is me just throwing ideas into the internet, so take it for what you will and feel free to leave your thoughts or suggestions. Also, if you found this post easy to read/comprehend (read=visual, comprehend=understand) or not, let me know. I always appreciate a mod page that is well laid out, so I want to follow suit. Attachments: I whipped up two little examples of what I imagine this looking like.

So I have another thread going, to which I gotten a few replies, and a few comments on the file page, mostly positive. What I'm looking for is feedback and reviews, and general input. I can't tell if the problem is me, if my mod sucks, I don't know. But it shows me almost 4000 views, and only a couple hundred downloads. 5 endorsements so far, and all I can think is "what am I doing wrong?" By my estimates, I have over 300 hours put into my mod, which is a series of dungeons and quests. I realize the content isn't for everyone, and the way some of the quests work (in part due to the way I set them up and in part the bugginess of skyrim/CK) are found to be rather difficult. Personally I enjoy having to look a little and think a little, and I don't really like quest markers, but it seems like some people want to race through content and not "stop and smell the roses" so to speak. That's fine, but feedback that tells me that would be nice, because I can certainly tone down the difficulty or just make the dungeons/quests last all of 5 minutes if that's what people want. Regardless of the issues, I need actual feedback in order to make the mod more appealing overall. Do people like it and they just don't know or understand the endorsement function? Is there something about the file page that are making the majority of 4000 page views pass over the file and not download. I would very much appreciate it if some seasoned reviewers could take a look at not only the file page but actually install and run the mod and send me a PM or leave feedback on the file page. If it is particularly scathing or bad, probably a PM would be better as I would like people to judge for themselves, but either way let me know. Right now I feel like hundreds of hours have largely been wasted as it seems like not many people are running and/or liking what they are seeing :/ PS - it is the mod linked in my signature.

Basically, almost all the followers have a vast pool of voicelines about different places in the Commonwealth. If you're using a mod that allows multiple companions, there can be some issues when you have to visit a point of interest.. Multiple Followers Overhaul makes all the characters comment simultaneously, and sometimes it's hard to tell what they are saying, especially because comments are available only for one phrase. Unlimited Companion Framework got a better approach: only one random character comments about the location, while others don't say anything at all. I know that some people like to disable followers' comments completely in such cases, but i'm sure some people like me and my friend would like to hear all the characters' lines, without having to save/load to find out about another one, or visiting same location over and over, since it breaks immersion.. The actors and scriptwriters made a lot of effort, and it would be a shame to miss it.. Mayber there is the way to make followers speak one by one?.. Does someone know how or able to do this?

Mighty Morthal by MightyNINE Dude, love the mod, however I wish you had enabled comments, 'cause alot of comments can be positive. Like Mine. I see there's a new updated version. I will go ahead and uninstall the old one, and install the new one. But I wanted to mention, I had no issues with the first rls. The npc's all looked the same way they did in the Video, in my game. I have Apachii hair (all).. And don't have any mods that would affect the faces, except Bijin NPC's (AIO 2019).. And I don't think that would affect your NPC's? NPC's you added looked just like the vid for me. No issue. The first couple times i talked to the NPC's they had no sale dialogue.. But after talking to all of them, the dialog was there. Everything else, is good. Thanks again for an excellent mod adding good, needed things to this town, and the game in general. I have a reason to go to Morthal now on occasion! Hopefully, some will see this, check it out, and comment. c0ax599 Edit: Ok, I did go back in game and check and what I found was some neck seams. Guess I missed that. I kinda prefer the .bsa's. But, I'll install the new one and see what happens.

Hello everyone! I don't know if there already is a mod like this, but i would love a mod that would make people around you comment on your appearance. The game already makes NPCs comment on nudity when you walk around without clothes/armour, but they are more like: "Aren't you cold?" kind of lines. I wish they were more like: "You are hot!" kind of lines if you know what I mean. I know that Fallout 4 has a mod like this where the people of the commonwealth get flirty with the player, so I would love there to be one for Skyrim, too! Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

I have discovered a game breaking bug on a Skyrim SE Mod whilst running Skyrim AE. Specifically "Immersive Citizens" which can cause Merchants to lose the option to buy and sell. I wanted to add a post to the specific mods nexus page but unfortunately comments are now locked. Regardless of wether a mod is being supported by the author, every nexus mod page should have a bug report page and/or an unlocked comments page, because there maybe many players still thinking of using the mod and should be able to see any reported bugs, especially as they will not be fixed.

If you edit a post in a mods comment section and while you edit this post the post gets sticked and closed. You can apply the new text, that seems like a bug.

Dear community, I am referring to posts on the webpage of a mod, in the ‘POSTS’ section. I receive no notifications when someone replies to me there. I remember I posted questions that have not read any answers to, but maybe someone did answer my questions. However, I did not record where I posted. Is there a way to find these posts and if so, how?

Hello, I'm just wondering if there is a link on our own personal profile where we can view our previous comments made on a nexus mod page? It would be extremely useful, let's say, if you posted a question on a mod page so that you could go back and check if there was a response. Or even better would be nice if you could subscribe/unsubscribe from your personal thread (I don't want to be notified every time someone makes a comment on a mod page, just if someone replies to the thread I'm subscribed to).

Regarding adding comments to the Posts for a mod on the Nexus Mod Page (as opposed to the Forum pages), I find the font appears thin, weak and grey against the white background. I'm straining a bit to define the letters. Might I ask if it is possible to have a choice of fonts and colours? I apologise if it is already available and I have not seen this - as you might guess my sight is a bit aged.

Hi, When I play a mod, I usually follow the Forum thread for that mod. Yesterday and today, I get the "You cannot reply to this topic" message when I go to a forum thread. And I'm logged in. I've been on Nexus since 2009 and never experienced this before. Only 2 days ago I posted to the Ayleid Palace SE thread and and a thread in the LE mods forum. Everything was fine at that time. I use up to date FF and have made no changes to browser or PC lately. Enhancing protection for Nexus is off, and the site(s) set to Trusted in Ghostery. Tried turning my Webroot anti virus off, no change. I even restored my machine to before I last posted successfully. I tried with Internet Explorer, that didn't work either. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but what to do ? Any help much appreciated :-)

I was thinking about reporting a mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57997/?) because I wasn't sure whether or not the author actually got permissions from the authors of the textures (gave credit, but no mention of permission from them). I was going to ask (just a "hey did you get permission") but didn't want to be a vigilante. Long story short, I wanted to doublecheck before posting so I clicked the link underneath the new comment box (Terms of Service in a sort of teal color), but it just redirected me to the mod I was thinking about reporting's page. I tried a few more times, same result. I use Google Chrome, and I was clicking Open in new tab because I thought it linked to the actual terms of service. EDIT: Okay, so it looks like it doesn't go to a new page but opens a little box for comments TOS. And that's why the open in new tab wasn't working. Still wondering about that vigilante thing though - would it have been okay to ask? I didn't want to report it without proper evidence.

Proposal to add an option to write short notes for mods downloaded. For example to write down game version for which mod designed - especially improtant for game in EA (Bannerlord) and at recent release state when a lot of patches issued by developers. Maybe some other stuff for mods groupping etc.

hello my account is bugged and doesnt get a notification when someone replies. i have checked comments i made and see that the author has replied to me yet the notification doesnt tell me that. please fix this

Hi. I find it a bit troublesome to read as I am type when leaving comments on mods on Nexus. My eyesight is good (lol) but still I find that the letters in the text box do not contrast well to the white background, the letters seem sorta thin and ghostly, and I can't read them quite well. I usually resort to just posting my comment and then when it's posted I can read (and then edit it when I see what I want to edit) it as I read other comments with no problem. Now Idk how this looks for you people, but for me it's hard enough to be annoying to read. But once the comment is posted it's pretty easy to read since then the contrast between text and background are pretty good and also the letters themselves look "fatter" lol. Thanks for reading. :D

One thing I am missing on the new notification system, is getting notified when an author has answered to a comment I've made on eg. an image. I always answer to comments myself. And one of my friends only accidentally found out I had answered to his comment on a an image. I have - just in case- everything turned on.

Quick question to moderators: on occasion I've left a comment that asks a mod creator a question. I'm forever polite, respectful and constructive because I firmly believe in respect and I'm in awe of most modders anyway. On occasion, my comment or question just vanishes! It's as if it never happened. It's just happened to me again on a simple query (politely asked) about if I can safely ignore some scripts stacking in a game save. Can modders delete comments from us commenters? If that is true, it answers my question and I can go back to sleep. Thanks for any feedback.
