  1. I've been streaming New Vegas on Twitch for the past few weeks with Stewie's Tweaks installed, and one of the features that that mod offers is that enemies that have been recently killed but not looted have a gray tick on the compass. It really helps me, because I want to get as much loot from each encounter as possible. I've looked, but I can't seem to find anything like that for Fallout 4. I know there's a mod to give unlooted corpses the same effect that you get on living enemies with Orange Mentats, but that's not really the implementation I'm looking for. Having a marker on the compass appeals to me much more. It could be as simple as having a gray version of the standard quest marker or enemy indicator, or it could be a unique icon, perhaps a skull (to symbolize the corpse) or a bindle on a stick (to symbolize the loot). If this sounds like an interesting project to anyone, I would be happy to help you test whatever you come up with. Just send me a PM.
  2. hi, i just wanna report that in my version of compass standalone , i was doing or trying eggs but when i did it the game do not give me information about it and when i want to see the info the game crash and close it ù
  3. CompassNavigationOverhaulAtlas Map Markers SE - Updated with MCM Many more MAP markers, and the quest markers now also show the content. However, the width of the compass remains narrow.I want a compass that is wider horizontally. Interfaces for 32 to 9 Screens 3840x1080 for SkyUI and Ultrawide CompassI read the POST of the mod to see if it would work for 1920x1080, but sadly I couldn't understand it myself.
  4. Maybe this has been done, but I could not find it. A mod that hides the compass when no quests are selected in the journal. This way the compass will disappear when exploring or milling around town, but appears when you need a tool for navigation. Feels strange requesting a mod since I'm not paying for it or anything, but if someone finds this an enjoyable idea to implement then I would endorse it.
  5. Whoever designed this game was was likely left handed, and it upsets me. Can we move the watch compass to the right corner, and the health bar to the left corner?
  6. I need an actual viable way to navigate in this game. Not sure if Im missing anything bc the search here is pretty meh, but google didnt seem to find anything except a couple of reddit threads with a similar issue from back in EA. By GPS arrow I mean like the little realtime updated pointer that will point you at a custom marker in the wow leveling addon or D4. By camera sensitive, I mean the opposite of our current minimap. It would actually react to what direction the camera is facing in a way that you can actually see which cardinal direction you are facing. Edit: Huh, looks like it does. Guess I just never realized bc I had it locked north. Still want something better. Best workaround Ive come up with, which is just SO crap, is just to put NSEW custom markers on the four axes as close to the center of those points where there is land. It helps a little, but I NEED something better!
  7. I'm using a modified version of the Immersive Wasteland Collection and for one reason or another the PA compass won't show any kind of markers. The regular compass works just fine. I've made sure to enable compass markers in Unlimited Survival Mode as well. In addition, I am using PA HoloHUD - Ultrawide. I've included a list of the UI mods that I have enabled at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  8. To me the fun immersiveness of Oblivion is the outside exploration. I have an idea for a set of immersive mods in one package. If someone already has a set of mods to acomplish this. Tell me!! A. The explorers package with serveral items. 0. Backpack. Without it you can only cary what you can equip in each hand. If a backpack is dammaged it will drop where it occured and will still contain all yor items. You can cary it in hand. If you leave it behind (above water) thieves will take all money and jems within. 1. Compass. Buy anywhere. Without it the UI compass is blanked out. Does not need to be equiped to hand. 2. Map. Buy anywhere. Without it the UI shows a blank map with no quest locations. (ie blanked out auto travel locations) 3. Bedroll. Lets you sleep anywhere. 4. Free horse. 5. No automatic travel.
  9. I would like to have a physical compass, that the character holds, and right clicking with it would hold up the compass and show me quest markers. Maybe there could be different themed compasses you could find across the Mohave/Wasteland. Doc could give you an old, rusty compass. You could find Vault Tec compasses in every vault. the BoS could have a gear shaped compass, Vegas could have a compass that has neon lights on it, etc.
  10. I've reinstalled Skyrim recently and thought I know what mods I wanted there. I suppose I was wrong! I know it's a hard question to ask, but perhaps someone had the same problem and could point me at solution? I've got a lot of mods installed right now, but when I've started teh game, the Compass disappeared completely, and crosshatch appears only after pointed on interactive objects. SkyrimPrefs has everything activated properly, as well as in-game settings, so I suspect one of the mods. I've tried disabling the most suspicious ones (the ones that change interface or gameplay), but couldn't pinpoint which one's the troubling one. If anyone had the same thing or knows mods that can do this, can you, please, highlight them for me? Here's the full list (although many of them are cosmetic mods)
  11. I'm looking to see if anyone is interested in making a handheld compass. I play survival without the compass and use the pipboy and landmarks for direction. It would be neat to have an actual compass to hotkey and pull out to see what direction I am facing.
  12. Hey guys, Was playing today and the thought crossed my mind. I do not personally possess the knowledge to do this, however, for immersive players I feel they would really benefit from this mod idea, so I'm just throwing it out there. Ever thought of creating a player held compass, like a compass you actually have to look at and charter your path to your destination. It would be a very immersive compass, especially for those that enjoy disabling the UI for a more immersive experience. I have a general idea of how this kind of compass could fit into the game, just absolutely no way of implementing it at present, let me know if you're interested. DEEMAN
  13. First of all, hello all, I've been very patient about this but now that the last DLC is out there is something I would really like, a compass. Basic compass - take away minimap, leave NSEW. Advanced Compass - Follow the likes of Skyrim with the Skyrim bar showing which way you are facing. Possibilities include what you would normally have on the minimap, only in this different style; markers of all sorts etc. Any of these would be so much appreciated the minimap just breaks the immersion so much, and surely it can't be too hard with the mods people are producing now? This would really make my day/week/month. I'll be spending a lot of time on this and hopefully if people like it you could port it over to new versions of the game for more renown? Yours sincerely, Kradia
  14. For immersion I have disabled the compass in my "skyrimprefs.ini" but whenever I load into the game, I have to put "refreshini" into the console for the compass to disappear. Any suggestions? Thanks
  15. I am not sure why no one has made this yet, but i'd love a compass that stretches out to both ends of my screen and shows more map markers kind of like a complete 180 of whichever way you're facing. I can't find any mod that allows this so i'm wondering if anyone know a mod or can make one that does this. I thought there was a mod that does this in Skyrim but I might have it confused with something else since I couldn't find it for reference photos. So I just made this photo to show what I mean in case there is some confusion. http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa454/Jeremy_Scheetz/enb2016_8_11_15_14_02_zpsc62ee2c2.png Thanks!
  16. Hello, Something that has been bothering me since I started is the change to the compass. The main thing annoying me is that NPCs only show up on it if they are hostile. Sometimes im looking for friendly NPCs and cant find them since theres no blip on the compass, so I would like to request this feature be reintroduced, and possibly the ability to move the compass back to underneath the hp bar (Though thats not as big of a deal to me). Thanks in advance to anyone who tries to tackle this, I would do it myself but I have no idea how to mod games :/
  17. Hello everybody. I'm making this question just for curiosity... I've been searching for this for a while on Nexus and Elsewyr also to no avail. I don't want to start a debate here of how better things are now or how worse. The whole point of mods is for us all having the game the way we want. And in my case I like to have enemies always marked in red in my compass like they were in FO3/FNV. Not using recon scopes, power armor mods, etc...: I want them to show always and forever just depending on distance from me and my perception SPECIAL. Not after "caution" state, also in "hidden" (like in FO3 and FNV). And since the game have already built in the percepcion based distance to put red markers on the compass while in combat and the recon scope system to mark enemies out of combat... I thought that it would be one of the more easy mods to find out there. So I was really surprised not to find any (there are mods that restore compass in survival difficulty and mods that remove completly markers in compass, but not this). So my question is not a complain. I know by far that mod authors are people who dedicatly give their spare time creating incredible mods for the joy of us users. I'm not demanding anything. I'm just curious about this subject: why does this mod doesn't exist since it would be a pretty obvious modification to do (in the functional level)? Is it technically that hard to implement and those two already built in systems cannot be used to achieve the result? Is there any conspiracy behind scenes of which I know nothing that consider mods like allowing you to tgm back in survival legit but definetly having a permanent aware compas is beyond limits? Does the mod exists but I'm so noob in searching both in Nexus, in LL and in Google that I haven't found it? Am I the only human on earth that want this feature back? As I said, I write this just for curiosity, to have some talk about the subject with someone who understand better this thing. I'm intrigued about it.
  18. Hey guys, Im updating my follower currently and I thought it'd be neat to make an escort package. The feature would work like this: Id have an x marker be placed where ever the player puts his custom marker on the world map. The x marker would be referenced by the escort package that would then activate and the follower would travel to that x marker that was placed, kinda giving a intersting follower traveling play-style. Problem is I can't find any documentaion on referencing the players custom marker at all or how it works, was wondering how I can go about utilizing the players custom map markers because I cant find anything in the creation kit for it.

  20. Couldn't find one available, so would someone be willing to create a mod which shows the location of your horse on the compass and map? I don't want to summon or teleport to my horse, and I don't want some cheap "Find horse" toggle-able quest to find it either. Just a map and compass marker of the location of my horse.
  21. For some reason I have no Compass anybody have an idea why? My UI Mods: I have One Hud, (Stimpack Counter NV, Shiloh DS, MCM [Off of PN], JIP Fast Travel,) Unified Hud, and DarNified UI NV. Mods in parentheses ought to not affect it.
  22. Quest marker on my compass is missing. While it is missing when i reload my game it shows up for 2 seconds and then disappears on me. Quest markers on top of people (jarl of whiterun for example) and doors, are also gone. (I put a much more detailed description bellow the spoiler tag. As for computer specs Cpu - I5-3350p 3.10GHz x4 Ram 16 gigs 1,600 speed Video card nvidia geforce GTX 660 VRAM 2,048 My game is located on a secondary HDD from my windows (in my case [E:\Steamapps\common\Skyrim] or somewhere along those lines), is also less than a month old 1TB 7200 rpm HDD. Latest Skyrim that isnt beta. Latest SKSE As far as i know. Less than a month ago i updated it. 10 7 01 is what the download shows. I have every DLC, dawn, dragon, hearth. Using NMM 0.53.5 (Alpha was too crash happy when uninstalling most mods) Using LOOT (posting a log down below before my long list of things i have done) I have Warzones 2015 rev 1 which is the latest, i think loot thinks i am outdated at this time, if rev 2 is out i will have to dig a bit deeper. Okay This is where i go into more detail on what i have done, what has done something and what has done nothing so far that i can remember, this will probably be a long wall o text so im putting it at the bottom of the hopefully working spoiler. Disclaimer: i have checked my INI in my documents folder and went to the show floating quest marker (Whatever it was called) and it was set to 1. I noticed this issue around alduins bane mission (first time doing it, and i bought the game at midnight release......sad i know) spent an hour looking for the time wound until i broke down and went to youtube. For some reason i cannot explain i never noticed that i did not have a quest marker when i should have had one, until this quest, i make another save (New Game), i do missions i know have a Quest marker and see if it has one, and not only was it missing from my compass it was also missing from ontop of people (was hard finding that one greybeard to turn in a quest at times if he was in the side maze). So i figure okay, i have a mod called Dot site and thinner compass, lets remove that and be done with it, as i thought it broke my compass. Well turns out it did not do so, I go through my mod list trying to figure out what mod might modify my quest marker, and i have had no such luck. I Even removed my Skycomplete as it was related to quests in particular hoping it might have done something, that was also a bust. Now Here is where i have had some success, i installed gophers IHUD (Immersive HUD), while IHUD is installed i can see the quest marker over people and a door leading to the destination....while the hud is up of course. But my compass is still devoid of a Quest marker. I figure i have a mod thats modifying the compass so i install some compass mods in hopes that it might re trigger it? overwrite what ever mod is causing the issue if it is even a mod. Enter ICompass, i installed this, and then that broke what IHUD had fixed and made both my Quest markers over people and on the compass disappear, standing in front of the jarl where before i could see the marker over his head, was not there while ICompass was installed Removed ICompass, and i got the quest marker above the jarl once more. The quest marker shows up for 2 seconds whenever i load in, but then disappears on me into the void. I am getting ready to pull my hair out over this as i cannot figure it out, i feel like that one dude with the c4 in caddy shack with the quest marker being the woodchuck (or gopher, i forget what it was). If there is any additional Information you need let me know, any tips helps or even a fix would be appreciated, something that might help me fix this.
  23. Hi all. For a long time, my biggest frustration with quests in Skyrim is how to keep track of them all. When the player's journal overflows with formal and Miscellaneous quests, the player has a choice to make: * Toggle just a few quests to "Active" at a time so that the map isn't ridiculously cluttered * Toggle many, many quests to "Active" so as to reduce backtracking later What would be nice is if quests were color-coded on the map, compass, and journal.... This could be achieved by a mod in a couple ways, but perhaps the most straight-forward.... The mod cycles through a dozen colors randomly. When the player toggles a quest to "Active", the mod randomly assigns a color to that quest. Now in the player's journal the toggle arrow next to the active quest displays as pink, for instance. On the player's map, the quest location marker / waypoint is now pink, too. As the player approaches the quest area, the spot is pink in the player's compass. Result: The player now knows exactly what quest they are advancing, can read their journal again to remember the quest's previous events, etc. This would be much more immersive than simply following one of many giant white Down Arrows on a map, and would make venturing out to complete several quests at once a little easier to plan & manage.... What do you think? How achievable is this? Would it be helpful and/or more immersive?
  24. I have a strange problem with shadows and the map overlay (e.g. the compass indicator) being placed ontop of my character (see screenshots) which has developed during my game. There is no issue with shadow quality, just where the game thinks they are drawn. For instance, in the third screenshot the shadow of the rack behind my argonian is ontop of him! I haven't been able to find any useful information about any similar problems so thought it was worth asking. The screenshots I have taken are in breezehome, but this problem exists everywhere in game for me. I thought this problem may have been due to the ENB I was running, but I have removed this and reinstalled and the problem continues. Images are in the imgur album below http://imgur.com/a/EgsXE
  25. So I recently downloaded the SkyUI, which is a really cool mod by the way, and made sure that SKSE was working properly with it. When I noticed that my compass and quest markers are gone. I'm not sure if it is solely because of SkyUI, but I came to the conclusion that it must be that somehow it broke my compass or something. Upon further investigation I found out that my compass is actually still there, but invisible. Because when I do a shout it still has that light blue recharge outline. The quest markers also might be invisible. I read on a forum post that downloading the Immersive HUD and toggling the compass would get it back. But that did not work. If there is any other way to fix this, it would be a great help to know.
