I know that converting sims hair to elder scrolls games is very popular in the community. I would like to attempt my own conversions, but so far have not found a comprehensive tutorial that explains everything. Kalilies has a tutorial on her youtube channel but it is not very beginner friendly/I can't figure out the whole process from it unfortunately. I was wondering if there are more tutorials that I could follow that outline the process of converting hairs. I've tried to get into blender and 3ds max before but gave up because it's so confusing and overwhelming, trying not to do that this time haha.

Hey all, Currently trying to do a Samus playthrough on SSE with the dwarven arm cannon. The problem—the only Samus armor I can find is an LE workshop file that I can't download to put in my Creation Kit, nor use https://steamworkshopdownloader.io/ since the service shutdown a couple weeks ago. Unsure what the mod ID number is but it'll be one of them. If you could send me that file through any file sharing means, all I have to do is use Creation Kit to make it SE compatible. I'm open to "share" the file so anyone can play as Samus in Special Edition too, though this'll just be giving you clear directions on how to do it. Help a brotha out, cheers!

Recently figured out how to do a bunch of stuff regarding RaceMenu and SMP hairstyles, and among them I learned a method to convert SMP wigs into RaceMenu hairs without breaking their physics or collisions. I'm aware this mod did this exact thing for tons of hairs already, but I'm trying to gather up all the SMP wigs they missed (Such as the one in this mod for example) and make patches for them. Having a pretty hard time finding more than a couple, so any leads are appreciated.

I would love for someone to convert the UNP Texture Blender to special edition. I would all so like to see if someone can make it so that the Unique Character and UNP Female Body Renewal - A female face and body replacer will show up in BodySlide and Outfit Studio correctly. As the title says, I have the main conversion of the armor down, but I'm hoping to convert a whole set. Only issue I'm having, is converting the helmet, boots, and gloves. Since FO4 has their pieces separated into Left foot, Right foot, right arm, left arm (ECT) I'm not sure how I'd go about merging them into a pair within or for outfit studio. Never mind the fact that outfit studio doesn't have a conversion reference for either FO4 feet or helmets (unless there is somewhere) :pinch:

Recently, I've been wanting to make armour but I realised that I have no experience in 3d modelling or making mods in general. However, I am thinking of converting armour from The Sims Medieval. But I only have the Sims 3 converted versions of them. And seeing as to how some Sims 3 hair has already been converted to this game, is it possible to do this with armour too? If so, what software should I use? (Also, if you are more experienced, you can definitely pick up this idea)

I've tried to do it myself but I couldnt get the collisions working when switching to a body reference that actually has legs.

Would it be possible for someone to make a CBBE conversion of Amulets of Skyrim so they fit flatter to the chest? I attempted it, but my knowledge of BodySlide and conversions is very limited, so it ended... poorly, to say the least.

i've been trying to convered an old race mod to sse i working ish i fixed it so far that the tail and ears work with physics but body notfully, also hand and feet disapear on me when wearing armor, last thing i also struggle with is make it so the game doesn't crash when reloading the save. any help is welcome or some could do it for us if they exually know what their doing the mod in question link to the mod files on how far i've gotten

So i'm using FFXIV Explorer, TexTools, and NinjaRipper and am capable of getting the models i need, textures, and even some of the skeletons (mostly from exporting the various body parts from TexTools). Unfortunately, there's one thing i haven't been able to accomplish: getting animations into a format i can bring into one of the suits i use. I've got Maya 2014/2018 (can potentially get any other year from the past 5 years), 3DS Max 2018, Unreal Engine 4, Blender, and Unity 2017. FFXIV Explorer exports animations as .hkx and skeletons as .sklb.hkx (which i'm assuming is just the same as .hkx). I've looked around and have been trying to find out how to convert the hkx into kf (which i believe can be brought into 3ds) but everything i've tried has yielded no results. Most recently it was using the hkxcmd but all it does is just open for like 1/2 a second and then close (maybe running it on windows 10 or some other setting or step i'm missing is preventing it from running). After that it was ConvertUi which, no matter what i do, just says 'converted' but yields no new files in the 'outfolder' (i found this on a skyrim forum...as was everything else located). If ANYONE can provide a decent process for converting a .hkx into .kf with the files from FFXIV Explorer (from the 030000 index) it would be much appreciated

I think I'm having an issue with the speed (slowness) of importing files from DLC. Process: - Commonwealth ref aliases exist in ref quests (to grab/release ref aliases to avoid persistence and bloat) - DLC ref aliases have Todd room placeholder (I'm registering for OnQuestInit, then firing ref quest, so I need all ref aliases to fill... hence placeholders) - Player selects teleport destination - If destination is DLC: * Get DLC target (GetFormFromFile) * Replace placeholder w/ DLC (ForceRefTo) - Go I have code that checks IF form was imported and ref was forced. Is there any way to know WHEN these "events" happen? All of my Commonwealth teleports work. Some of the DLC teleports work. The ones that don't work, well, I get to hang out with Napoleon Todd. Since that chair is my placeholder (because I don't want DLC dependencies...) that's why I think it's a speed issue. It feels like I'm trying to go places that haven't been forced into the refs YET, so I get the unchanged placeholder instead of expected target. .

I don't know whats been happening in the modding community except for the rubbish Creation Club. I have a lot of work and little play I was wondering why the RaceMenu isn't a thing.. is Expired not an SSE player? or are we waiting for the full SKSE64(I think thats what their calling the SKSE for SSE...?) I've got it working.. Ive seen some incredible Xcom star wars armor mods such as: Star Wars Clone Trooper Character Pack by REDEngineer1 http://www.nexusmods.com/xcom2/mods/388/? By all means im no modder and only requesting mods but im willing to provide any assistance possible finding assets or even if you have to teach me to mod myself! My ideas of a conversion consists of, well nearly every aspect of the game. Ranging from changing the default drop-ship to a LAAT with sounds like these https://youtu.be/QK7DRK2qMEQ?t=10. Im aware that in the original star wars battlefront there was a usable one so perhaps assets could be ripped from there Im probably getting way ahead of myself but food for thought! Default advent troops could be replaced by separatist battledroids Weapons of all eras Replacing all music in game to star wars standards. changing Bradfords picture to a clone commander or general With the new upcoming star wars battlefront 2 im sure more higher quality assets will become available. Im well aware this is a lot of work but with a team of enthusiastic and excited modders im sure its a near doable task. even with flaws it will look fantastic. Food for thought

So I have been seeing a lot of mods that add HDT to their armor. The problem is that many of my favorite mods have pieces of armor that look like that they could use HDT to make them have some neat physics. I am not talking about having female body parts move, which is the majority of what I see for HDT modding tutorials. What I am referring to is having a plume flow in the wind or maybe having the bottom section of the fur chestpiece from vanilla game move around your thighs while you walk. A great example of what I am referring to is what youtuber er hong has done with some of his Dark Souls and Zerofrost conversions: My question is how does one try to do what er hong has done by taking existing segments of armor meshes and adding physics extensions? I tried following the advice from HDT official Google Code archive, but I'm not using a female body like CBBE or UNP, which uses an xml file. I am only using Windsong Character Creation Overhaul, which do not contain xml files. Er hong is using male characters too, which isn't a CBBE or UNP body, so if he followed the guide, I don't know what he chose for the 6th step, which requires you to put a string value to your xml file. I extracted all the Meshes nifs from the Oblivion- Meshes- .bsa file, and I'm looking for a way to convert these nifs so that I can load and use them in the Creation Kit for Skyrim, so that I can recreate static scenes from the Oblivion game. Can someone link me to a tutorial already made for this? Point me in the right direction? Better yet, if you know a program or technique I can use to accomplish this, it would be awesome-sauce. I've seen two things so far that supposedly are used to do this- https://github.com/Ormin/skyblivion-NIFConverter -This is called 'Ormin' on Github- I'm a noob, I have no idea how to use it- so if someone knows how to work it with Python, and can link me to a tutorial or send me instructions, would be awesome. https://www.blender.org/ -And then of course, Blender, which I've been told can convert Skyrim/Oblivion/Fallout etc. nifs using a Nifskope plugin for nif files to be loaded and edited on the program- again, I have no idea how this works or how to work it, if someone could link me to a tutorial page, or can explain how to do it, I would be very grateful. -If someone could also tell me what I need to do to get the Textures from the Oblivion-Textures.bsa file, to work with the converted nif files in Skyrim, that would be great. I discovered a new male body mod that's far superior to the existing ones, and I'm wondering how I could convert some mod-added armors to fit the body. It comes with conversions of all the vanilla armors, but many modded armors aren't compatible. SSE How To Convert Weapons to Skyrim SE?

Hey there. I'm new to modding in general and quite noob at it, and I just finished a first version of my weapon mod (a totally new sword, no vanilla in it) and want to load it into the SE CK. Alot of the posts have a good chunk of jargon I don't quite understand, although I get the rough edges. The SE CK seems to believe that the model I'm uploading doesn't exist and doesn't portray it, giving me marker error 3. I tried re-creating the .nif files, but still no luck. So obviously I need to convert my mod via the archive feature. But I'm not sure how to create the archive for it to pack/unpack. Worse comes to worse I will kindly ask for someone to upload the conversion for me (and hopefully someone does so), but I'd like to learn how to do it for the sake of future mods I want to create, because for the forseeable future I will upload my files to the standard Skyrim (until the majority of players and mods move over).
