there are some amazing dance animation mods on Nexus .. and although i wouldn't expect anywhere'z near the more .. 'Broadway' or 20th century 'Vaudville' types of choreography in the dance animations at all .. you'd think that 1 or 2 SLOW or Lingering sorts of Waltzes might have been on those mod authors, animators tables :( cheers, w.

Well, firstly, I do hope that this is the proper forum to ask this? :) Will there ever be a possibility of getting Selene Kate follower ported over to SkyrimSE? :) From Kasprutz's Nexus Selene Kate - Kiss Me page he had stated back in 2014 that he/she has retired from Skyrim modding. :( I'm not a modder, so I can't speak with knowledge about the inner workings of mods, but it does seem like, after using the Selene Kate mod over the years, that it seems like a pretty intricate follower mod, with the options that you have if you choose to marry her, to her dances that accompany the mod (44 dances to be exact), to having her own horses for both herself and you the player, to her wondrous AI package. :) Is there any hope at all to getting her to work in SE as in OldRim?? :) I would quite miss her in any play through :( Thanks for any replies :)

SSE A dance I'd love to see in game (for Vilja and NPCs)
BlueGunk posted a topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I'm aware there are a number of dance mods, including the awesome Holtof55 Dancing in Skyrim mod. Most of these offer group or individual dance styles based on modern popular Japanese and other Asian music cultures (which is fine, I do not complain). Now, in Skyrim, Vilja has an awful table dance she likes to try that is, basically, kicking a few pots off the table and knocking drinkers' teeth out, whilst she claps. There is a "Sensual Dance" alternative I have used that is 100% better. I believe FNIS Spells can cause NPCs to dance as well. I enjoy a wide range of music, and one of the music and dance styles lacking in Skyrim comes from Southern Europe, Greece, Balkans, Bulgaria, Macedonia etc. I particularly like this Bulgarian / Macedonian dance to the folk song "Shto Imala Kismet Stamena", sung by Raina: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2eKjZvC4zM . It is a solo version of the popular 'handkerchief spinning' in dances. Since it is a solo dance, and hopefully easier to animate, I'd really love to be able to have this for an alternative to Vilja's awful dance (perhaps Emma might like to add it to the mod?). And also as an FNIS spell for NPCs. Here's the rub: I can't mod to save my life. I looked into animation and went kind of hazy after an hour of study. :geek: I have never created a mod although I hope to start some time soon. So I throw down the gauntlet of Draugr Chain Chocolate: might anyone be interested in creating this dance animation as a Skyrim mod with Vilja in mind, and introducing a Balkan style of dancing into Skyrim? If not - oh well, I suppose it was worth asking. [ BTW - I did ask Holtof55 if he would consider including it in his mod, but he replied he has no plans to do so for now. ] Thanks for reading my suggestion. I can see the sky darkening already with thousands of knee-bound arrows.... -
I looked around (Nexus AND Loverslab) and there's a bunch of like rave/twerking type dance mods, but nothing for like a ballroom dance, which I think would be awesome! Anyone else think this would be a good idea?

You know that feeling when you finish a companion-quest and you just want to hug him/her because it's been a very hard time? I see the hug more in a close and comforting way. Maybe it can last as long as you like, by pressing a key in front of your companion. Pressing it a second time would end the animation. To the slow-dancing mod. I had this idea when I set up a juke-box in one of my settlements. It only plays one song and it's a slow classical one. When you're with your companion you could have the option to dance closely in front of it. Maybe by hitting SPACE when it's activated?

So I was looking through idle animations and stuff, and noticed various dancing idles. This got me wondering, is there a mod where you can enchant a weapon/have preset weapons that make npcs dance different dances everytime you hit them? If so is it possible someone can link me to it? Because a mod like that would be epic. If it hasnt been made, coud someone make one like that? I have no idea how to mod but if someone does make a mod like that I will be their bestest friend on steam :D

When it comes to modding I'm still very much a novice. I can build places, links, etc... and that has lead me to an idea I'm working on. But I have no clue where to start. What I want to do is make an Amulet with an enchant that causes it's wearer to dance... Forever, muhahaha. HOWEVER, I don't want my mod to have a master other than Skyrim and Update. So, what I need to know (or where to find the information) is how to add everything I'll need to make this work. Specifically how to add the dancing animation to CK for my mod. I stepped through the mod to take a quick look at what things I might need to add, but I don't really understand what I need to add to make it work. Magic Effects, Animation Files, Scripts, Effects, Keywords, etc... I see the puzzle pieces but have no Idea how the puzzle fits together. Can anyone point me to a tutorial that'll explain what I need to know in order to make permanent dancers? Thinking about it... I might need to get a quick lesson in scripting. Otherwise the NPCs will do the dance animation once and stop, never dancing for my amusement ever again. As a side note... how the hell do you make torture victims act like torture victims??? They stare at me and tell me "You shouldn't be here." like a normal NPC. I seem to missing a key piece here. (Player House with a Dance Hall and a Torture Chamber.... for those that won't dance. Muhahahaha.)

LE The request of dance spells! Weird right?
Deleted44140507User posted a topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
So, this idea came to me in a dream...And I was an elf in a forest, meanwhile a bunch of whiterun guards were hunting me in some strange fit of rage, perhaps I stole too many sweetrolls, and then...I danced, but whilst dancing they began to kill each other, and then a flash of light occurred and the event happened again, only this time...They were screaming as they boiled in a vortex of fire before me, lastly the dream ended as I danced upon their corpses fried to a crisp by lightning. So, what if all these things were in skyrim as a form of new spells, like master spells...Cast in 3 seconds and waltz on their arses as they get ripped asunder by their own blood, as for making it immersive and or optimized for a fair gameplay that promotes difficulty, make it only effect people 5 levels below you, a version that's fair and one that is over powered, a good idea no? As for immersion itself, you can describe it as a form of sorcery invented by an ancient bard, an inventor of entertainment of his time, all the kingdoms rejoiced when he/she entered their city, alas one day the bard tried entertaining mages and failed miserably...Something about their not being enough magic in his words and dancing that made his act unrelateable, and the bard found his/her destiny, to entertain the mages with the greatest jig in the world by utilizing magic, unfortunately these mages were slaughtered in the effort, but the bard achieved his/her goal, they laughed until they died in a horrible explosion, which was seen by a dragon...Parthunaax, and he will teach the dragonborn these spells to honor the ancient bard!- 3 replies
