My problem is following: I found Meeko first time in 603 hours I have been playing Skyrim, and fell for him instantly. I took him with me. After that I visited first time the Hassildor player home, and discovered that with this house came very adorable husky called Aldon. I wanted him too! And that's when the problems started. So, I'm posting this here because I don't know where else I would post it, as Hassildors comments and forum topic are locked, and Meeko is a vanilla follower with no author to contact. At first I was using EFF, and tried to get both Meeko and Aldon to follow me. It didin't work, Meeko followed me, but Aldon was unresponsive. I happen to have Vilja as my companion too, so I tried to ask Meeko to follow her, and have Aldon with me. It seemed to work, so I traveled to Whiterun to take care some business. But now I'm stuck inside Breezehome because neither of the dogs follows anyone. The thing is, if I talk to Meeko and ask him to follow Vilja, it works, and I can talk to him again with topics like "Wait Vilja right here". But if I ask Meeko to follow either her or me, and then talk to Aldon, Meeko reverts back to his recruiting dialogue and sits forever wherever this happens to happen. And same thing with Aldon. At this point, I changed into AFT, because according to Dr. Google, AFT supports also animals, and EFF doesn't. But this hamster wheel of hell is still rolling. I have tried to dismiss / re-recruit and use AFTs "Tweak - Make follower" spell on both of them. With both of them I got error messages about missing actor values and variables, if my memory serves me right. In any case, the spell failed and that was the point. So, what should I do now? Is it really impossible to have two dogs? Should I just force myself to pick one of them and send them home? Or is there something I have not done yet and could try? Any help would be appreciated.

I have been trying to use EFF 3.5.5 to handle followers. It worked with one (Mango ported from old Skyrim). But after that it just will not pick up followers. Menus, dialogues, whatever, just have no effect. I tried re-installing it. No luck. And in fact I discover I can use only ONE follower - so EFF is not making any difference to the default follower count. How could that be? I have not tried UFO on SE. Might anyone have some tips for me on EFF / UFO and what might be the issues, please?

There's already a "Force Recruit" option that, on its own, solves many mod bugs/conflicts concerning followers. Many people have problems with dismissing them for any number of reasons. Force Recruit combined with a Force Dismiss would be the panacea for all follower-related mods.

I recently downloaded Meeko Reborn by BluePianoTwo and L u n a by VRDaphni and VRApollo and GodOfVengeance. They work fine no problems there. I was just wondering if it is safe to download a follower control mod like AFT or one of the others with them both already download and working? I just got a home and I would like to send them to it from time to time when I don't need them as well as managing gear and things like that. Right now when I dismiss them they just return to where I found them. I know there are several follower control mods out there and they all have different things they do as well as things in common which is part of why I don't know which to choose. Which one would be best to use since I have Convenient Horses installed and I don't normally run with more than two followers, one being a animal? How do I go about installing the mod safely with the load order I have? Sorry for so many questions, but I'm still trying to figure everything out without completely breaking my save game or my computer. Thank you in advance for any advice. I made few followers in the CK following a guide on youtube, the first 2 worked just fine. But the third has problems. When i talk to her she has 2 lines of : Follow me. I need your help. The first on gets a voiced response, the second just skips the dialouge without saying anything? And the EFF circe menu dont appear just the vanilla dialouge. I dont really know what to try, made her almost identical to my 2nd follower who worked perfectly. Please Help!

How to start... I use Extensible Follower Framework, Interesting NPCs and way more mods adding magic, weapons, enemies, npcs... The question is, I want to make a follower a battlemage/spellsword kind of fighter (melee/mage hybrid), BUT actually switching to melee at some point and not only using Destruction magic or other damaging spells. Is there some mod that tweaks AI or a console command or anything to make this happen? I browsed over the Internet and I didn't find anything about a matter like this. As I use EFF, I tried to change his combat style to warrior or berserker, but to no avail. I even tried using the console to try to change them into melee class but also being able to use magic, and it's like it does not change at all. I tested with several followers, mostly with melee only style of combat, and at the moment I give them destruction spells, they automatically switch to magic only, even if they have a strong weapon.

An option of Soulfire v1.7 is to give followers the ability to recharge their own weapons. The problem: If I change cells (go through a load door) they will loose that spell (Soulfire - Follower). Both of the spell's active effects will 'self delete' from their inventory. The work around: I've found that I can reapply the spell and it will work as intended as long as I don't change cells. Edit: Checked, this problem also happens with fast travel but doesn't with saves or sleep. My current load order Edit: 'Soulfire - Follower' spell is a constant effect ability.

Not sure if this has already been made/talked about before but I was playing dragon age origins and I thought it would be a cool mod idea to have an add on for EFF, or a similar mod, overlay for your followers to display their head pose next to their stats. Kind of like this. Not sure how difficult it would be but I figured since CEO made OSA it'd be perfect for a module idea maybe??

I have a problem while running Interesting NPCs and EFF together. Whenever I recruit a follower from Interesting NPCs, I am presented with two options of "Follow me, I need your help". One of the options will lead to the EFF menu opening when I speak with the follower again, while the other goes with the vanilla Skyrim system. Side Note: No vanilla voices are actually being spoke by the follower; just subtitles. When talking with followers, every command in my player dialogue choices are listed twice. For example, I will have two options of "I need to trade some things with you". Side Note: Sometimes the wording may be slightly different between the two. One option will bring the Interesting NPC's recorded dialogue, while the other will have the vanilla dialogue in subtitles at the bottom (Yes I have subtitles on). Both of these options will work, but I prefer to eliminate the unwanted vanilla dialogue options, as they are very annoying. I do have the Interesting NPCs and EFF patch installed. Anybody seen or heard of this before, anybody know a potential solution?? Thanks for the help :)

When using Extensible Follower Framework, Brelyna Maryon keeps leaving me. One second she'll be tagging along and then PUFF, she isn't there. I'll try the follower commands, but she doesn't show in the menu, and doesn't come when called. Eventually I did notice a message saying that she left my service, however I can't imagine why. The three of us, the other being Serena, would just be walking (no combat or anything weird) and the message just shows up, and she leaves. I tried going back to Collage, but she isn't anywhere on campus either. I tried cleaning my saves, both before and after the disappearance, but the cleaner says that there aren't any orphans.

Hi guys, so 2 urgent things I've looked everywhere for a solution and found nothing: 1) I was having a great time using Amazing Tweaks Followers. I have all my followers live in a castle, and I dismiss them there. But when I dismiss them, AFT still registers that I have a follower. So now I'm maxed out on followers, because their limit is like 32 followers. So if I can't fix that, I'd like to change to EFF, where I can have up to 100 followers. But I've looked everywhere on how to do that and I still don't know. As a noob that I am, a clear step-by-step instruction would be excellent. 2) Idk if this is the reason why, but installed EFF and played it together with AFT. Some bugs ensued and I realized what I did and I disabled EFF. But my prime custom follower, Cassadora, just walked off when I started the game. She's super hot so I want her back. I've checked the original place she was, and I checked my house, idk what to do. The day before she walked off I also downloaded Touched by Dibella, but disabled it together with EFF to find the root of all the crashing. I've also noticed that back at my house a couple of followers are missing too. I owe my life to whoever answers me this riddle!!! Thank you in advance!

Hi, I was wondering if there's any mod that makes followers be quiet while a quest-related NPC - NPC dialogue goes on? Because this is the most annoying thing ever with followers. My player stands in that dungeon and another NPC (or follower) has a quest related dialogue with another NPC and my other followers are happily acting completely out of scene, chattering and walking around, etc. Most annoying! Had this yesterday again with the brilliantly done Roderick Redbeard mod. I'm using EFF among other mods but it doesn't seem to feature such an option.

Hello, I've been trying to get the custom follower Inigo, which is a great follower in my opinion, to work with the Extensible Follower Framework. Every time I sneak he begins to have that issue where he stops following and begins to roam as if set to relax or had been dismissed. I believe to fix it I need to put Inigo higher on the load order than XFLMain, but whenever I try to move him above it or XFL below, it won't move and the cursor changes telling me I can't. :psyduck: I don't know if it is a simple fix or I'm missing something, but my top 19 mods in my load order can be moved but not down past 19. I have searched for the answer for quite a while and I am not a big fan of having to post my problems before trying things, I have confirmed other followers like Hoth and Eryniel are functioning correctly so it's not a general issue with the mod but probably just a conflict and need to figure out why my load order won't let me move the top 19 down. :wallbash: Thank you in advanced! :sweat: EDIT: I do use BOSS and it doesn't fix the load order issue

Keep in mind that this happened by accident and new to these forums. Thinking that immersion in the game would be better, I went and downloaded AFT and EFF and placed them in my data when I've already been using UFO. Turns out that they are all not compatible together because my custom companion (Tomoe) kept walking away from me even after using the "Follow me" and "Wait" commands. I decided to take the AFT out and I thought I took out all of the EFF, but only the XFLDialogue.esp was out. Therefore I had all of UFO files and EFF (XFLMain.bsa, XFLMain.esm, and XFLPlugins.esp) in my data. During gameplay, I went back to Tomoe and she didn't walk away or anything. The commands from UFO functioned properly and so did EFF. Is this the best of two worlds, or not? I havn't found anything wrong with this and decided to share this information. If anyone finds anything, please share, and I will do the same.

So, I've been playing modded for about a year now and I've never had a problem before. However, recently every mod that deals with followers has stopped working. Mainly, I can't recruit more than one follower. I did the troubleshooting for UFO (the one I was originally using), Installed EFF and a f*#@ton of other smaller follower limit increase mods, I disabled all my other mods and I've even reinstalled the game and none of it has worked. I can, however, have more than one mod followers (like one's from Interesting NPCs) but, none from vanilla. If anyone can help me with this, I'll kiss you. I just want to play Requiem without getting buttf*#@ed. Please and thank you.

Hey guys, I recently installed EFF (which lets you have a maximum of 100 followers) and wanted to create an army. I noticed that my game became noticeably unstable after my follower count passed 15-20... (the problem disappeared when i reduced my follower count) My system specs are: i5 4670k OC GTX 780 Lightning OC with 3GB VRAM 8GB RAM I read somewhere that the game becomes unstable when you have too many followers on a single cell? Is there anything out there that can fix this? Thanks for the help.

I've got both EFF and AFT installed, I use EFF for most of the stuff but i see no option to keep follower to fight rather then run away, I use kid followers to battle with as i've got the TKAA mod but i have to talk to them and go on "when you're in a fight.." and select "fight back" to stop them from running away and to actually attack enemies. I can't find an option to that with EFF and if i don't set it to that through AFT, they just scream "leave me alone" and goes the opposite direction in fear, if someone could tell what the option is to stop that with eff then I won't need AFT anymore. I also think AFT is causing the follower error as well it has shown up before a couple of times but nothing looked changed, but yesterday I found one of the TKAA girls called Morgan but I didn't like that name as it sounds boyish and not girlish so i changed it to more a girls name with EFF, everything was fine but shortly at some point i couldn't interact with her anymore, there was no "talk to <girl>" like with everyone else i got as follower, I looked it up and a person seemed to have a similar thing saying that skyrim doesn't like it when u change a nickname of a npc. It got complicated with me reloading saves, disabling/enabling and spawning another on of this girl. This started when I was doing the "Boethiah's Calling" needing someone to use on the pillar, I got sven to be used on the pillar and killed him. After when u killed the cultists I had to move all my followers away from the area as for some reason they kept killing one of the people who boethiah possessed to talk to you and after that is when I couldn't interact with the girl i changed her name to and when i travelled I got a bunch of "unrecognized follower" notices which i haven't seen so many through my entire playthrough and it removed a bunch of the followers I had, idk if its because i used the default "follow me" on sven that might have caused the bug or me changing the girl's name. Somehow I reloaded a a save again but this time I kept all my followers in Whiterun whilst i went to the boethiah place myself, I used EFF to make one of the cultists my follower just to use him on the pillar and kill him. After I killed him and completed that part of the quest I travelled back to whiterun, got the follower error message and soon after the courier came to me telling me the cultist death as he was a follower, but after that it went all back to normal, the girl i renamed was fine and I played the rest of the game from yesterday normally. I just don't understand what happened yesterday as it was very confusing but I have a feeling AFT is to blame with most of it.

Guys, I'm having an issue I've been trying to fix for the last couple of days. For whatever reason, the dialogue option for EFF does not work for me. Wheel and classic mode work just fine, but when I switch to dialogue the command option that should show in the dialogue options doesn't. I checked for conflicts, tried various different followers and different versions of EFF (4.0.5 and 4.0.3). I also tried different load orders, and used it without RDO and with RDO and patch. I tried disabling radial wheel through the console command set playerfollowermenu 0 (the command in description is wrong, it does not work) and switching to dialogue in MCM. All the same, I have RaceMenu and SKSE up to date too and it's just boggling my mind rn. https://modwat.ch/u/Gruwen/plugins
