I've spent the last 3 or 4 weeks working on a massive 500+ mod playthrough and after going through all of the typical steps to get the game running smoothly (optimizing textures with Cathedral, checking plugins for problems with Wrye Bash and then fixing them, using FO4Edit to clean most of my mods, combing through the Nexus to make sure I've downloaded every patch that exists for any combination/s of mods I am using) I've ran into the issue of falling through the terrain whenever I interact with any item I can pick up, and also some doors. This also occurs when interacting with anything to do with my Pipboy. The only notable terrain mods I have are the Performout Impetus texture overhaul mod and the 2million sunblock terrain mod that adds undersides to the terrain to prevent sunlight shining through. I've tried to ensure nothing conflicts with either of these and I've tried starting the game without either to see if it'd work, so far nothing. I do have a fast start mod but all it does is let me assign my name and SPECIAL stats right after finishing character customization and then it sends me right to the outside of Vault 111. I have tried disabling the fast start mod and I still fall through the ground, right after picking picking up the baton no less. Curiously it didn't happen when I picked up Nora's ring so it seems to have something to do with physical items, but that doesn't explain why it happens when I use the pipboy that I spawn with thanks to the fast start mod. I'm new to posting here so I apologize for anything strange or any missing details, if anyone wants to know anything about my mod list or wants me to post my plugin list too then let me know. I've tried a bunch of things to fix this myself but nothing has worked so I'm forced to turn to asking others for help.

Ok, its me, back again for another broken modding problem that most likely won't get fixed. I've searched all around, asking people and going on websites. And nothing. Also,This has happened a few times now. When i'm walking/running, other npcs and companions will teleport all around, fly around, and fall from the sky. It almost becomes impossible for me to kill (some) enemies. I have a few clips below. And storyteller (storyteller) flew up into the air, and landed on the roof. i forgot to record more. i alt-tabbed out of New Vegas and plays.tv stopped. Hello, I've been trying to figure out how to create custom spells, and I think I've got an idea of how to do it for basic stuff, but I'm still unable to figure out how to do the spells that I want to get done. Specifically, I have in mind some lesser Elemental Wall Spells; ones that leave an elemental trail, but not a trail as pronounced as the vanilla Wall Spells. For example, the lesser frost Wall Spell would look and cast like Frostbite, and leave only as much frost on the ground as Frostbite, but the frost effect would stay on the ground for longer. How would I get that done? And, for the effect these lesser Wall Spells have - fire/fear, frost/tripping, shock/paralysis - how would I get these to occur, and how to make it a chance effect, rather than a constant?

I made a clean picture frame for my Restore Old Items mod. To prevent it from ending up halfway into a table when being placed in workshop mode, I changed the origin point in Blender from the center to the bottom of the mesh and went thru that convoluted process to convert it to FO4 nif. It has collision, but when I place it on a table, it falls thru to the floor. If I place it on the floor, it falls thru to the ground. What's wrong with my nif? Does it have to be slightly above its origin point?

Hey all! I'm looking for a mod that removes the ability of books to fall over. :tongue: I'm so tired of stuffing a shelf full of books I've collected and then watching them all fall down. :laugh: I don't necessarily want a mod that messes with the scripting of the bookshelves and allows you to put more books on them. I just want the books to stand up straight on the vanilla shelves. If this does not already exist, may I humbly request it? :smile:

I apologize in advance for posting all of my issues in a single thread; I thought it may be easier to explain and manage if I did. After seemingly breaking Skyrim after installing only one mod (DynDOLOD), I decided to reinstall it and try installing other mods instead. I uninstalled both Skyrim and NMM, as well as any remnants of mods in NMM's directory and SKSE within Skyrim's steam directory respectively. FIRST ISSUE: The game runs great, aside from the fact that I fall straight through, or am sometimes catapulted from, the bridge you cross on your way out of Helgen (the one that gets crushed by rocks after crossing it) as well as the fact that models seem to jolt around continuously. I continued onward, thinking it was a 'one-time' thing; however the same occurred with the small bridge in Embershard Mine, it is like the game doesn't detect it. Not to mention that enemy models were still jolting. Out of fear of this arising later in game, I'm too afraid to continue playing at this point, as I don't want to level a character I will most likely need to delete. While I know this issue is very easy to bypass by using the console or simply bunny-hopping across, I'd prefer to solve the issue outright. Even if I have to reinstall the game; as either solution largely breaks immersion. SECOND ISSUE: I have an occasional graphical and audio glitch with water. (Lakes, rivers, waterfalls - I think) The body of water would flicker and continuously play the audio cue you hear when surfacing from underwater. While I did have water related mods installed on my previous play-thoroughs, this issue still persists on my freshly installed vanilla copy. SYSTEM SPECS: CPU: Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.30GHz GPU: Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 VRAM: 4095MB RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24) The HDD Skyrim is installed on has 774GB of free space Type of PC: Desktop I do have a dual-monitor setup, though I am unaware if this has any effect. GAME RELATED INFORMATION: Location: D:\Games\steamapps\common\Skyrim Game version: 1.9.32.0 DLC: Hearthfire, Dawnguard and Dragonborn Currently not using NMM, though I plan to once this issue is resolved and did make use of it previously. (Version: 0.60.7) SKSE: 1_07_03 Other programs: LOOT and Tes5Edit. (Made sure to clean masters and ensure proper load order) While I was unable to follow the instructions regarding how to paste the LOOT log and while I do not have any mods installed. I will post my LOOT "details" as copied from the program. I hope to have these issues resolved so I could begin to mod a stable game. Any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated. Again, I apologize if I am not allowed to post two problems within one thread and if I did not follow proper instructions. Kindly inform me and I shall make the necessary changes. Attack while falling, spell cast while falling, shout while falling... How would it be to jump down a high cliff while casting a spell and become etheral right before hitting the ground? Do a jumping attack? Do an assassin's creed plunge attack? Do a 360 bowshot quickscope while falling down and becoming etheral? There is already a somewhat of a version out, but it would be cool to have it actually work. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54554/? Anyone whos good with script, it would be an amazing mod!

so I was trying to fix the thing with the grey underwater glitch and tried a mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14007/? and changing something in the prefs.ini [imagespace] bDoDepthOfField=0 both of them more or less fixed the problem but then just lead to another, falling through water. I did some searching and apparently I am the first to even have this problem. It startes by making the expected 'surfacing' sounds and your breath is restored... underwater... if it helps I am running on a customized lowest settings to appease my shitty laptop is there a mod to restore the vanilla underwater? any help is good :blush:

This is a really annoying glitch that has been happening. I am pretty sure it's from a mod, because when I took them out, I was able to move. Now I have found that when I take out all the mods, and make a clean save, and add the mods back again I can start it up and play for about 5 minutes, then I will collapse like I died. I am unable to move the mouse to look around at all. I cannot move the character either. So any help would be awesome. I have two pictures of what happens. I had patched to 1.9.32 and then it started doing this. I updated SKSE to 1.6.16, and SkyUI most recent update. I have other mods, and they are all up to date. There is a heavy armor perk that reduces the damage you take from falling. Is there a mod that would further reduce it? - and maybe also create a shockwave when the powerful Dragonborn jumps down and hits the ground!! Thanks!

So once upon a time i had this mod that cause your character to spontaneously go into rag doll physics mod once you fell a certain distance or picked up a certain amount of vertical speed. the falls weren't often enough to kill you, but it made trying to navigate down sheer mountain faces more dangerous and interesting. I also seem to have gotten rid of the mod for reasons i no longer remember, and i want to use it again, but i can't seem to find it on the nexus. If you know which mod I'm talking about or know of a mod that does this, please let me know. Thanks!
