What are your favourite tree and grass combinations? Any landscape mods you like to use with them? I used 3D Trees and Plants with Verdant for a long time and found those match really well in terms of colours and flora. Verdant has tall, thick grass that bandit bodies fall softly into and almost disappear. Recently, I used Nature of the Wild Lands 2.0 and Folkvangr. Both are high quality mods. There are some clipping issues with trees, and the bright green grass does not match the heavy canopy in Falkreath. However, this combination produces the best Morthal by far in my opinion. It has a very high performance cost, even without ENB complex grass. The least expensive in terms of performance is what I am trying currently: Seasonal Landscapes (both trees and grass are included). The trees are vanilla style, improved I think (I haven't done a direct comparison) and the grass naturally matches because it is within the same mod. It, of course, has the feature of changing over time which is an interesting experience. I think if Nature of the Wild Lands and Verdant had support for seasons that would be the best of all.

LE Remember favorite items when picked up from a weapon rack
Zatking posted a topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Hi All, I recently noticed that when you put some weapons, that are marked as your favorite, on a weapon rack, after you pick them back up they are not classified as favorite anymore. I am not a modder, but is it possible to fix this? I mean... its nothing game breaking, but it would really help my immersion and roleplaying in the game. You know... The dragonborn comes home after long day of slayin milkdrinkers, hangs his favorite mace on the rack and the next day he just picks it up and continues. I dont want to set it up again and again in the favorites menu when I pick the weapon back up. Thanks -
I like to have one type of gun for every ammo type you get, plus I like changing guns every few minutes to switch up gun play. However, the favorites menu only has 12 slots, so switching to a gun not in the favorite's menu takes a bit (especially with this UI, am I right). How easy would it be to add on to the Favorite's cross, like maybe at least 2 more in each direction? Having something like that would be really helpful.

A mod that creates slots on the players body, for various weapons(say, 2 medium/large or 1 heavy and 2 or 3 small weapons slot) that, like many other mods, make the weapon visible on the players body when not in use. The problem is those mods, are generally aesthetic and don't do anything. Instead weapons that show up on the player would be selected and placed on the player from their favorites menu and when changing weapons using hotkeys the player takes the selected weapon off of their visual person and begins use. This could limit the amount of weapons a player can favourite(hotkey) at one time(personally I wouldn't limit the amount chems, food or water beyond the current limit). Not a modder, just thought that this could make sense if anyone knows how it could be done.

Who is your favorite character and why? It can be anyone from Oblivion including the DLCs. For me, it has to be Baurus! Reasons He's one of the first NPCs you ever meet in the game, and he will be involved throughout the entire main questline.Baurus is a member of the Blades, and also the youngest to joinHis personaStrong friendship with the player characterTrains youExtras I think you guys would enjoy these 2 videos. SSE Custom weapon CTD's game when switching
Shade1982 posted a topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Hey all, I just found out SSE has it's own forum. I have been posting in the old Skyrim forums :P. I have a rather odd issue. I have created a set of custom weapons for myself. However, one of them, the bow, has the tendency to crash my game when I switch it. The issue seems to be worse when I use the favorites menu. I have checked the weapon object, the weapon static object, the enchantment, the references in the nif file and the corresponding texture files. As far as I can tell, there is nothing wrong. Is there any way, like an error log file, I can check to see what exactly causes the crash? -
"Comfort food is food that provides a nostalgic or sentimental value to someone ... The nostalgia may be specific to an individual, or it may apply to a specific culture." I like to RP a lot and think about the mundane details of everyday life, one of these details being food and drink. Maybe your character eats a certain food to remind them of home, or maybe they drink something specific in reverence of their favorite deity. Whatever the reason, these two items bring your character joy like none other. I searched around for a while to see if this kind of mod already exists, but no such luck. Here's what I propose: MCM or hotkey used to select consumable food and/or drink in your inventory. Once selected, these items apply a bonus to the player similar to "Lover's Comfort". Maybe a toggleable notification that says something like "You feel comforted by your favorite food". That's it. I know it's not a particularly glamorous mod, but it's one I feel I would enjoy while roleplaying. Maybe a mod this small could be incorporated into a larger mod. I would hope it's easy to make since it's all scripts, but I've never made a mod so I can't say for sure. Feel free to change or expand on this idea as you see fit. Unless it gets weird.

I am seeking assistance in creating a small mod wherein you could press Y on a gamepad and tag an object in the settlement workshop, allowing you to get back to that item and others being currently used very quickly. And then pressing Y again will untag the item, removing it from the list. Reason being I greatly enjoy settlement creation and all the mods adding items to it, but it is very easy to add too many mods and lose yourself in menus looking for one bit of wall over and over again. this would expedite that, easing the process in general. Thank you in advance.

Are there any mod-fixes that allow one to use the favorite funtion on clutter/miscellaneous items? For example, camping kits from a mod are typically tagged as a clutter object - and rather than sifting through a huge list of misc, would it not be nice to simply sort and assign to the quick-list favorites menu? If such a mod exists, can one kindly point me to it as my searches have turned up nothing (read: unrelated results) so far.

Hi everyone ! I'm having an issue with SkyUI and the favorite menu : I play a mage and have the Apocalypse Spell Package installed. In order to manage the massive amount of spells added more efficiently, I created groups for each school of magic and one for my equipment. Problem is, I just hit the maximum cap of favorited items in my Destruction Group. Is there any way to increase this cap, by editing a line in a .ini file or something ?

Hello, This is my first post. I'll try to provide sufficient details and not write a hopeless request. I have decided to make a "Smeltdown" mod. After some research, it turns out there are at least three others in existence. However, they each have drawbacks and I want to make one that does not have these drawbacks and learn about modding at the same time. Essentially I am making a number of recipes that convert metal-containing items back in to a certain number of ingots. However, I would like these reciped to be: Only visible when the required items are at hand Only visible when there are at least 1+ non-equipped required items Only visibile when, in addition to point 2, there are at least 1+ non-favorited required itemsAt the moment I have managed to find information relating to 1 and 2, to work out it is something like the following (in the recipe's Constructible Object window): Target Function Name Function Info Comp Value Operator PL GetItemCount Item: 'Foo' >= 1 AND S IsEquipped >= 1 AND S IsInFavorState >= 1 AND ... However, I know this won't work, since lines two and three are not right as they are. I suspect IsInFavorState is entirely the wrong function, but it is the most appropraite-sounding one I could find. So, my questions: Is what I am trying to do possible? How do I go about doing it? What mistakes did I make? Where should I have found the information, rather than posting here?Thank you & regards, -- quixotic-cynic

I'm creating a mod that allows you to 'Use' a misc item in you inventory like a switch to turn on a magical object's effect e.g. invisibility. With 12 of these unique powers that can be used simultaneously, i'd ideally like to be able to favourite these misc items so that when i press them in the favourites menu or hit the associated hotkey, it 'Uses' the item just like it would equipping a sword for instance. Any help either pointing me toward a mod that could do this or developing the code for myself would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Whenever I favorite a weapon that I made/edited myself, I get a CTD without warning. All I did was take two meshes and combine them to make this weapon. Why should this cause a CTD when I favorite it? EDIT: I renamed a few of the textures and meshes, and now I can favorite it, but one part of the meshes has no textures.

Whenever i have something in as favorite, and try to switch through the spell/weapon i get this very annoying bug that i can't seem to get rid of. Only happens when it's in favorite menu. Can someone help? I'm so tired of switching through the menu instead of hotkeys... Screenshot example: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=xg9c6&s=5

Hi all, as the title of the post indicates - I have two requests for SkyUI that I feel would greatly enhance my experience. mod request 1) In the favourites of the SkUI interface, there is a space for preset outfits along the bottom. I play with a controller. And am unable to access these. could someone add controller support for this feature of the SkyUI mod? Mod request 2) when opening the favourites menu in SkyUI, there's currently only 4 tabs. "all", "gear", "aid" & "magic" Now I have other mods like apocalypse on. And I feel like I'd benefit from a more comprehensive favourites menu where magic is concerned, where if a user had favourited more than say, 3 spells of a specific school of magic, it would categorize them even further, adding another tab. related to that specific school of magic, so I'm not scrolling through a massive list of magic to find the one I'm after. This issue may be severly lessened if mod request 1 was a reality though, I have spells I like to cast pre combat, every fight. so being able to hotswap outfits, where those spells are equipped and then to my sword & shield may fix this problem, still, the less time spent scrolling is what the favourites menu is all about. I know its a problem I create for myself by having so many favourites, but even with an over loaded favourites menu, it's still quicker than actually going into the menu. because A) I have filtered out the spells I don't use frequently, and b) the actualy menu does take more time to navigate

Well it's that time of year again. Christmas will soon be upon us, and with that New years is just around the corner. But before we dive head first into next year, let's reflect on the mods that 2014 brought us. It's been a fantastic year for mods, and I know I've been thinking for a few hours myself on which ones I'd call My personal favorite. I've found it's easiest to break them into categories, for example, What was your favorite Quest mod? Player home? weapon? New land? Graphics? Overhaul? It would be helpful to stick only with mods that were released or updated in 2014. I look forward to seeing all of your responses, as well as modding with the community for another year. Yours in modding, TheBawb (if you're having trouble deciding, try looking at your download history on your nexus profile.)

Whats your favorite song and the lyrics to go along with it? Mine: Lynyrd Skynyrd- Free Bird Lyrics: If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me? For I must be travelling on now, 'cause theres too many places I've got to see. But if I stay here with you girl, things just couldn't be the same. 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now, and this bird you cannot change, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, And this bird you cannot change, and this bird you cannot change, Lord knows I can't change (Slide guitar solo) Bye, bye, baby it's been a sweet love, yeah, yeah, though this feeling I can't change. But please don't take it so badly, 'cause Lord knows I'm to blame. But if I stay here with you girl, things just couldn't be the same. 'Cause I'm as free as a bird now, and this bird you'll never change, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, And this bird you cannot change, and this bird you cannot change, Lord knows I can't change, Lord, help me, I can't change Lord I can't change, Won't you fly high Free Bird, yeah, (Long guitar solo) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QxIWDmmqZzY

How about a mod favorites system? Basically be able to drag and drop, or click a favorites button, to add a mod to your favorites section, per account, while also sorting them into categories and have NMM be able to pull that information up and suggest installing favorite addons when NMM is installed on a system it's never been installed on, once the user has logged on. Maybe also provide a button that lets the user decide if they want the mod manager to automatically start downloading each mod and set in settings to automatically activate the mods if they want to. That's my suggestion for a feature. Thanks for your time.

I don't seem to be able to remove one of my eight favourites form my game favourite list. I click the X to delete it and get an error box up. Is there a way around this please? Oh - cured itself. Maybe it had to go around a few million servers to get there! Ignore this now please.

Sort of like how you can add mods to favorites to Steam to find for later, I'd like to be able to do that on the nexus website. I thought the "Track" button was to do that but I realized it's actually just to see if it gets any new news or updates which isn't very helpful. If this option is already available I couldn't find it, I'm new to the website still. I tried to google it but it only came up with searches for NMM or MO. That's not what I'm talking about or looking for here. Yes you can organize mods there and save them for later there, but by doing that the mod sits on your computer and takes up space. I just want to be able to save mods on this website for later like you can with Steam, in case I decide to use them or as a way to compare different mods I find instead of having multiple tabs open that lag my pc to death. If it's not implemented could it be possible to do so? Perhaps even add a way to put them into categories or make your own categories to find them easier? It would be really nice and I'm sure people like myself who go and download hundreds of mods would appreciate it. Either way thanks for reading. I do hope this is the right forum for this and apologize if it isn't.
