Hear me out people, I know there's a lot of mods out there but absolutely ALL of them have their strong and weaks points and mixing some of these mods is a pain and patch nightmare. So, I chose to compare the main well known mods changing trees and come here to seek your possible ideas and maybe other mods I might have missed that are maybe not even on NexusMods. For the Full High Definition comparison screenshots, please refer to my imgur post here. Here's the list if screenshots to start off with: Vanilla Upscaled Nature of the Wild Lands Traverse the Ulvenwald Fabled Forests Forests of Dibella Skyrim Flora Overhaul So, on first note, I wanted a vanilla replacer, turns out that the new mods have completely went over that and replace the vanilla entries by their own. Most notably, Nature of the Wild Lands. Another thing that is very much appreciated is the addition of new trees to make the forests feel denser and more alive BUT, the addition of more debirs make some of these things look redundant and out of place, Nature of the Wild Lands - The fluorescent moss log that appears in 3 places just in Riverwood. Fables Forests just plain lifts every tree up or at least, the 2 notable tree objects to be found in RIverwood, the big tree near the mill and the Stump have their roots lift above the ground. Then, Nature of the Wild Lands chose to change the log near the chopping block making the mushrooms on the log invisible. There's also this weaird trend of having all of the leaves and needles stripped off from the lower parts of the trees which makes the forest look bland. Just 2 mods of the 5 offer decent bushed trees, Forests of Dibella with the excellent pine needles and Skyrim Flora Overhault which has a pretty good feel to the idea and very acceptable. Traverse of Ulvenwald has a mere almost acceptable approach by not completely stripping it off and leaving just a few branches so it's kind of good-ish. So I am torn between all of those. And of course, the 3D trees mods and Happy Little Trees, they don't offer as much as what these coimplete mods offer but have a tendency to be appreciated by most of the community but I am a picky person. Let's talk about textures, Forests of Dibella and Skyrim Flora Overfaul just show their age for the tree barks, or so I think, the problem is mostly the tree barks and not the logs or stumps, just the actual trees and their barks. The others have excellent bark textures but the leaves and needles are barely even noticible so that's a shame there AND to top it off, you cannot simply change the textures because Nature of the Wild Lands and Fabled Forests have their own paths. I am in a big trial and error process into what to use and how to mix them because even with some of the patches I found that claim to fix some of the issues I mentionned don't work or don't cover some of the visual problems these mods have. Oh, if you want a small laugh, mix Fabled Forests and Overwrite with Forests of Dibella, not playable, but worth the small moment of laughter on how HUMONGOUS and INSANE the trees and forests become LOL!!! What are your thoughts and maybe suggestions, please, share!

Just seeing if anyone knows of more screenshot environments such as Aibellia Island by Xs2reality. I've seen some really neat pics out there that clearly weren't taken anywhere in Tamriel. I'd like a modern home setting, a city, etc but I'd settle for anything new and different

Hey modders/creators! I've been looking for a small keep to have a player home hidden in the forest. Maybe in Falkreath or The Hold, but I can't find anything. Nothing big. Just a basic foyer, bedroom or two, small library, and a small armory. A stable and/or outdoor forge would be phenomenal. Gardens or something would also be nice to liven the place up. Having a steward and/or a couple of guards wouldn't be bad either lol. There's no end to humongous castles with extensive battlements, armory rooms, throne rooms etc. Those never interested me; they just seemed large and empty. If you need any more details let me know! Otherwise just get creative with it! Pryinglion

Is there any tweaks which would reduce the framdrops when walking around forested areas like Morthal swamps, Forest around Dark Water and so on. Ofcourse only explanation could be Truevision ENB, but usually it runs 50-60fps in other places which aren't heavily forested. Help would be appreciated. I can give more info about mods and such just ask.

Okay, so I have the mod Skyrim HD 2k Textures - LITE and it's great. All is lovely... however, I lag like all hell when in forested areas. No doubt because of the higher resolution graphics on the trees. Is there any way I could lower the resolution on trees or install some sort of... low res tree texture mod if there's even one out there? I don't want to remove the entire mod because everywhere else runs smoothly, it's just forested areas my computer can't seem to handle. Any ideas on how I might be able to fix this? ^^; Keep in mind, I'm running ENBoost (I don't actually use an ENB though) and a bunch of other stability/functionality type tweaks and all so I don't need any more of those... just need a way to lower the tree res or something without making them look TOO atrocious or removing them all together. I also prefer -not- to disable shadows from my game if I can help it- last resort.

I got through watching many gameplays of the game "Forest," and after countless observations of the enemies there, I was wondering where or not Skyrim has scripts that alter NPC awareness. The idea is this: If you encounter a gang or bandits, and you end up having the upperhand, the very last enemy (or a few of them) retreat. However, you realize that the stragglers from before came back to hunt you down with reinforcements to have vengeance on their fallen mates. This could also apply to war factions, in which the losing side will retreat to recover in which there can be a probability in which the enemy's reinforcements will surprise the Dragon with an ambush. The enemy's reinforcements can also be hired/disguised assassins who will walk amongst the crowd and will attack the Dragonborn on sight. What do you guys think?

I have been playing Kingdom Come for a week now and my main complaint about it is that even if I hear wolves from afar there aren't any. Originally the devs wanted them in the game in early developments, but later they decided to cancel these. Is there anyone working on anykind of mod in this theme? Wolves would be amazing to fight against, and bears appearing in the world would also fit to the whole forest adventures. I don't mind if there were stray dogs also, violent dog-packs or anything. Birds? How about birds?

I started experiencing persistent CTD's when roaming the forest area around Falkreath. At first I thought it would be a mod conflict because I do have a lot of mods installed, but after tedious testing I eventually decided to verify my game cache through steam. Verifying caused my SSEEdited files to revert back to their vanilla state... and now I no longer experience any crashes around Falkreath. The only .esp files I cleaned with SSEEdit were suggested to me by LOOT: Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, HearthFires.esm, Dragonborn.esm. Does anyone know if this is a common or known issue? Maybe I shouldn't be cleaning one of these .esp files? Either way, I would appreciate any information anyone might have about this. Thanks.
