Hello, I'm just wondering which hardware currently available on the market has by far the fastest rendering and processing results in CK - world creation, world zooming/moving, etc. to reach very high FPS during work in the CK. Which CPU/GPU/RAM would be advisable here? Thank you in advance. Edited post: Turned out FPS is not so trustworthy, far more interesting is rendering (real-)time. I found RAM to be the culprit and GPU is not so important, with the following applied: - DDR4/5 32 GB+ - L3 Cache 20MB+ - NVME/SSD File/Preferences...: - .../Render Window: Grids to load 1, which must be done after each startup, since it cannot be configured via INI, at least it does not work on my end when modifying the INI. Top Bar: - disable "Toogle Light (A)" - disable "Toogle Lights (6)" Show/Hide: - Markers/Misc Markers - disable "Decals" - disable "Object Hidden From Local Map" Render Window: - push "T" to set default angle on top of object

Hi yall! I recently built a PC so I can enjoy gaming in 4K. Skyrim's my fave and I thought it could be heavily modded without a major performance hit. I'm not crazy about FPS, but would prefer to keep it above 50, 55. My current pc: MB: Gigabyte Aorus Elite V2 (rev.1) GPU: ROG Strix RX 6900 XT Liquid Cooled CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (with a 240mm Gallahad AIO) RAM: 2x8Gb DDR4 Sniper 3600MHz CL16 SSD: WD SN750 I thought that this would would support Skyrim 2020 Parallax (with 4k / 2k textures), several 2k textures for armors and such, Tamriel Master Lighting, Window Shadows RT, Rudy ENB for Cathedral Weathers and DynDOLOD with 512 textures and High settings, in 4K resolution. Thing is: in most inside spaces, it seems to get around 50fps, which is fine for me, but in some outside zones and some rooms with 2 or 3 lighting sources, it seems to drop to low 20s. Is this normal for this type of rig? Would I get some benefit from upgrading the CPU and/or RAM? I would love some advice on this matter. Thanks!

Hey y'all, I've been modding Skyrim for quite a while, but the game has finally outsmarted me when it comes to new and creative ways to keep me from playing. My Skyrim has decided that it will crash on load if I load any save that breaks the RAM limit. The way that I've gotten around this (because I have applied the ENB memory patch, the LAA executable patch, and I have 12GB of memory) is by "porting in" by loading a save in a low memory area in game. The game usually lets me start a new game, so I have a few saves at the beginning that load up, and after I load one of those, I load my actual save from there. The thing is, the game is finicky. Sometimes, after loading with the save over and over, it decides to crash on loading anyway (and then will later load up just fine on the same save. Weird). I've run the application that displays how RAM you use in game, and the issue is consistent-once the game is loaded, it has no problem going over the 3.1 GB limit. But when loading into the game initially, it crashes when it hits 3.1 GB. I guess my question is this-is there a way to get the memory patch to apply to loading up the game to begin with instead of once the game is already running? I know this is quite an unusual issue, but I thought I would at least check and see if anyone has ever even heard of this happening.

Hello everyone, I know this question has been asked a lot, and I've done my fair share of research but wanted your guys' opinions as well. I recently bought a GTX1080 and an acer predator g sync 4K monitor to start jumping into 4K gaming (woot!). I've seen countless articles about the 4GB VRAM cap on Windows 10 so my question is, for a heavily modded visual skyrim with a lot of 2K/4K textures, Tetrachromatic ENB, running at native 4K resolution, do you think I can get away with running Skyrim on WIndows 10 or should I start all over on windows 7? I've heard people say that stability isn't that much different between the 2 OS's and others have said there is. Will RAM start to get in the way before VRAM at this point or is VRAM always more important? Thanks!

So first of all here are my specs I7-6700 Gtx 1070 superclocked w/ 8gb 8gb of memory in ddr4 Plenty of storage Now the problem I have is this, whenever I use mods like skyrim flora overhaul and verdant, the game completely freaks out and makes everything black and then usually after it crashes. I've tried ssme and the memory fix. I'm using this guys load order - https://youtu.be/M47Fq38anUM Which I should be able to run fine with my specs. Can someone help me out because I really am in a jams and have been for the past few weeks trying to figure this out.

I want to get a new graphics card to be able to run Skyrim more smoothly. I got pretty much all the best performance mods possible so im at this point where I want to upgrade my graphics card. I got a budget of around 200-400$ i cant afford a gtx P*ussy killer, but I still want to upgrade from what I got. Im open for suggestions, maybe some of you have good reliable budget graphics card that you could suggest me. my current build looks like this Intel i7 3.10GHz (8 core), 8gb RAM, AMD radeon R9 200 (2gb)

Hello fellow modders! Before I begin I want to say that this isn't a topic about a problem that I have but more of a problem that I used to have and I think I found a solution. I posted it in this forum because people that need help with a problem may come here to find a solution and this topic may be of help. Also I'm not sure if the RAM usage has been adressed before but I've searched in google and I haven't seem to find anything relevant. So here's how it goes. I first started playing Skyrim on PC on my Laptop. It had a quad i7x64, 8GB of DDR3 RAM at 1600Mhz, a very low end GPU and Skyrim was installed on my 5400rpm disk. I had pretty large mod list with many script heavy mods (Frostfall, RND, Footprints and such). I also used mods that made Skyrim more stable and of course ENB without graphical modification so I had extended memory and all the other things that an ENB offers. Still Skyrim was unstable and I don't mean my framerate. I'm talking about CTDs while walikng, fighting, activating things and pretty much in any situation. The CTDs wern't always on the same things but they were very very often (10-20 minutes max). I concluded that it was a problem with the heavy scripting but I didn't change my load order. About a year ago I build a custom gaming PC which was pretty powerful. i7-4790K x64, 8GBs of DDR3 RAM at 2400Mhz and a GTX 970 overclocked at 1216Mhz. Also I installed Skyrim at my 850EVO SSD. Please note that while everything was upgraded, my RAM (besides the clock speed) was pretty much the same (8GB DDR3). So I installed the same modlist I had on my laptop and because I had more power to spare I added many textures and an ENB preset. But besides that big upgrade I only noticed a big change in my framerate. Skyrim still wasn't stable and in many cases was unplayable (CTDs seconds after loading a save that was fixed only after fast traveling at a different location). A couple of days ago I made some changes to the .ini files (lowered the shadows), deleted most of my new textures (left only a few 2K textures) and I installed a new performace friendly ENB. That way I tried to reduce the load of my GPU so it almost never exceeds it's limits and Skyrim was running at 90% of the time at more than 60fps. That way I had a very stable framerate and I diminished most of the CTDs caused by the GPU load. So far so good. That's not anything new and it was expected. Still most of my CTDs persisted and it was now clear that my crashes were caused by the scripts. Here I want to add that there weren't any gamebreaking mod conflicts. My load order had many script heavy mods but they didn't conlict with each other. Also most of my CTDs happend when I quicksaved, loaded a save, opened a menu (inventory etc) and when loading a cell while walking. They CTDs didn't happend always in these situations but since these are very used things the CTDs where very often. Also a few days ago when I entered a city or some other intensive area I got a Windows warning about my RAM beeing depleted. It didn't crash my game but it got me thinking. So today I bought another 8GB of RAM and installed on my PC. So now I have 16GB of DDR3 RAM at 2400Mhz. I opend Skyrim and I was amazed. Besides not getting the RAM Warning (kind of obvious) I didn't experience any CTDs! The cell loading while running around was also improved with much smother loading than before. I still haven't tested Skyrim extensively but I played for over one hour without a single CTD greater loading performance and also the scripts where running faster and better. Skyrim still doesn't use more RAM than before (about 3 to 3.5 GB) but it looks like having the extra RAM makes it more stable since at any given time it has access to more. I wasn't expecting this outcome (or at least not in that scale) so if anyone can confirm it or knows anything about this matter I would be happy learn it. Also in the case that this observation is right I'm glad it may help some people. Finaly I'm sorry about the long and maybe badly written and boring post but I think that giving you all this information about the history of my CTDs may help you understand better my case. Thanks for your time!

I really need some insight to this, cuz I am not getting the gist apparently... My laptop is dated and I get that. What I don't is get is the fact I could run FO3 and FONV on my current rig (albeit, dated) Just fine with 100+ mods, all intensifying graphics and realism and it performed great without a hitch. This game(FO4) as it is, out of box is (or would be) a great overall game besides the obvious; WTF is wrong with the rendering/graphics/optimization/animations/detail in general?? Why, when based on a well used and consistant engine is it so F****** difficult to produce better looking interaction/immersion/graphics?? Matter of fact, it's not more immersive or graphically intensive at all compared to previous releases(or the mods that accompanied them, I Should say). I love the Fallout series and was very much looking forword to this release, however the sheer neglect of these things almost make the 8+ solid days spent playing feel almost hollow. I know I can't be the only one this dissappointed in a game that has amazing potential, but my only question is why? The hieght? The lack of indoor world space? The poor worldspace definately does NOT equate to piss-poor lack of performance on what might be concidered "low end" machines. Anyway, Any realistic answer to this would be more than welcome...

Heyho guys, I've got a huge problem with the creation kit... After it crashes, when ever i startet it (I fixed that), I've got a another bug... The creation kit is lagging to death... I can edit stuff for like 5 minutes, untill it takes 30 seconds for rotating the camera... Its just unplayable... Can i somehow give the creation kit more RAM (Mine is just about 40% used by it) or something? Can i reduce the grafic in the kit? Or am i doomed to not mod fallout for ever?

Edit: nevermind, I fixed it & also found a workaround, took many hours though! See the fix here! http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75950/? EDIT 2: I spent 9 hours total searching for this information & not finding it/getting it working myself/ as well as writing the guide for other users(which WORKED by the way) and the Nexus staff removed it, so thank them for their efforts. "Your file was breaching our terms of use and has been removed by micalov" "A member of our staff has removed your Allocate Memory Run As Many Mods As Your PC Can Handle Tutorial file for the following reason: misuse of file entry, gvigin two steps on something that is widely documented is not a file." EDIT 3: Most people likely have already read most of the other guides & tried crash fixes & enbs mentioned in them, I know I did before I ever even made this topic. This topic as well as my guide would have never been posted, had it been that easy to find. Considering you aren't able to see what was in the guide anymore since it was deleted by the Nexus staff, you may not realize that there was more information covered in it than what most other guides etc talk about, as well as the fact I was trying to make everything easily understandable & findable. In fact it was much more undertandable & straight to the point for specifically getting around the "Skyrim has failed to allocate memory" issue & issue of running as many mods as you want. For instance some people, of which I was one of them are using crash fixes & or ENB and still getting "Skyrim has failed to allocate memory" Some people use old ENBs, or have hundreds of mods, and they will see exactly what I'm talking about sooner or later. Which as far as I can see, is mentioned nowhere in any of the current guides. But I found a way around it in my guide. There are a few different options you can try to get around this which my guide was trying to explain. As well as the fact that it was trying to explain that if you meet the correct system specifications, you can run as many mods as you want as long as the mods don't conflict with eachother. And that my guide will help those who have Windows 7 or XP, and 32 & 64 bit editions, with more options for those with 64 bit.

Hey, I know this topic might be old or wearisome, but I just wanted to make sure I have exhausted all resources. I've diagnosed that I often hit the "3.1GB" limit the the 32 bit skyrim executable has. I know my modding might just be plain overly ambitious, but even if there is no way to keep ALL of the textures and visual enhancers I have, I'd like to know which will be the most efficient in cutting down on RAM usage so I can keep most others. For reference, I have all DLC, the high res texture pack and the optimized vanilla textures installed. Not only this, but most of my texture replacers reside in a combined texture pack created by Skyrim mod combiner which also uses DDSopt to optimize textures There are several texture replacing mods I have used in addition to the ones combined in Skyrim mod combiner. These will be shown below. Now, I don't know if this is ideal, but I ran Optimizer Textures on my entire data folder at medium compression setting, no changes. This was to compensate for the fact that the other textures weren't optimized and because throughout this process I've been too lazy to DDSopt the mods by hand. I'm using SKSE with NLA for my enb, and using the latest enboost (settings will be given below). I use safetyload at the moment, but I could just as easily apply sheson's memory patch by hand. I don't think this relates to this 3.1GB issue, however, but some of these details are just nice to include for a more complete idea of the situation. I always loot, clean with tes5edit, and rebuild a bashed patch in wrye bash. I have 8GB of RAM, and that should be all you really need to know, but a full specification of my build: Here is my enblocal for enboost: My skyrim.ini: My skrimprefs.ini: My texture replacers:

im using third party program to add to hdd cache from ram. i have 8gigs and i set 2 gb of ram for hdd caching and it increases my overall pc speed pretty well. im wondering if its possible to force skyrim to store data in hdd cache (which is the fast ram in this case) for faster loading times. for example if i enter a building, talk to someone etc then leave in a short time the exterior will load fast in a few secs. but if i spend more time in an interior, or in a city then go out/back to skyrim the loading time is long. i dont have an ssd, but maybe a better caching can cut the loading time.

I think there is something wrong with how skyrim handles my RAM Id look at the task manager and see it only using 600-800MB leaving like 40% idle. But when i play different games, dying light, GTA V, etc. its always using 1 - 1.5GB of RAM. I think skyrim would run better if using maximum RAM but it never goes over 1GB. Is this normal because skyrim demands less RAM than those other games? Skyrim (latest ver) SKSE (latest release) I use ENBoost and memory patch. 202 Active plugins/mods. I've recently been having a very persistent problem. Namely, I downloaded and installed 10 or 20 mods, most of them textures and other graphics modifications, loaded skyrim, and had no problems. Then, I proceeded to install gameplay mods, and found that when I traveled to certain areas (ex. around the standing stones near Helgen, or, even more problematic, the solitude docks, I'd experience a crash to desktop. I tried uninstalling a couple of graphics mods, and the CTD's stopped occurring, but, a couple of mods later, they began again. I'm really quite frustrated by this issue. I assume that the problem is VRAM usage, but I'm running a MSI Radeon R9 390 with 8 GBs of VRAM, and, from what I've witnessed, Skyrim CTDs when just below 3 GBs. I've installed enboost, and ssme, but I still find myself unable to load GPU intensive exteriors. Again, I'm really frustrated by this issue, and would appreciate any responses or suggestions. PS: FYI, I'm using win 10. I though this might be important, because I found that some people had had issues with mods and win 10 in the past.

LE City gates for Expanded Towns and Cities (ETaC)
thegreatwarrior posted a topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
As I've searched through the internet, many people have problems having CTD while exploring Dragonbridge, Dawnstar and other cities and towns without a gate (Loading screen) or while getting close to them. Vanilla Skyrim has no problem, but ETaC (+Dragonbridge south) and JK's Skyrim put a really heavy burden on the system's RAM which causes instant CTD. These mods are brilliant and beautiful, but I thought for those who cannot solve the problem using the memory patch like me... it could be very helpful to add gates to all the open towns so they would not load till you get inside. By they way, as I said, memory patch doesn't help. I've also tried all anti freeze- infinite loading screen- CTD - ... mods, they've solved all my problems except for Dawnstar and Dragonbridge CTD (ETaC and JK versions). I'm fairly sure the problem is RAM overrun. I know many people demand exactly the opposite ... like Open Cities mod ... but I'm quite sure there are lots people out there who would appreciate a much more stable Skyrim with enclosed towns using gates and loading screens.-

Hello everyone, I posted recently about my Skyrim game not being able to save correctly. I've done some poking around, and I think it's because my system is running out of memory. The thing is, I don't know why - I'm using Crash Fixes, Bug Fixes, ENBoost, the like - and still, the game refuses to save correctly, and crashes both the game and my display drivers (temporarily). I'm not running anything particularly intensive - you can see my modlist here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7418471-new-install-of-skyrim-le-display-drivers-crash-on-save - and I have 8 GB of system ram and a video card with 4 GB and VRAM. I'm typically running 1K textures, some of them 2K. EDIT: I'm installing mods through MO2 (installed on my main HDD), and Skyrim is installed on an SSD. Don't know if that makes a difference. Any advice?

I've started gettin ctd's again and I assume it's because I have to many resource heavy mods but I'm not sure which ones are the real issue. I think it alternates between my vram and ram being overused , each causing different types of crashing.I've gone through my mods and I can only assume it's the likes of ASIS, warzones and immersive creatures or patrols. I've included mu skyrim and skyprefs ini's just incase there's something wrong with them (I have no idea) and my boss log and my skyrim monitor log to show the usage. As I say the usage rides up to 2GB ish on the load screen alone and then when I find a warzone or whatever it slowly increases. I would have thought it would just shoot up tas soon as it loads all those npc's though. I'm also using TPC with all the world textures at about 1k-2k and only caves and stuff are higher, I also don't have all the mods maybe 3/4 of them. The Monitor log is just me running around near the shrine of azura, i get similar performance inside blackreach and I was running to a warzone but tried alt tabbing out (I read that refreshes the ram) and it crashed, I assume that log will suffice though. The usage only goes up by 100-200mb in the warzone anyway not sure if that's beacuse it's already loaded or not as it's just over the hill. Could you also let me know which are the most intensive mods and which you'd recommend I drop, thanks. Anyway, any help would be ace. PC specs i7 3770k OC'd to 4Gz GTX 660ti 2gb 8gb ram hybrid sshd

I've recently started using Texture Pack Combiner and as I'm only using up to the 2k textures I can't understand why I keep maxing out the RAM. I used to run the skyrim 2k texture pack (not tpc) fine with all the full versions. I've not even go all the available TPC mods installed. The worst thing is It shoots up to about 2.5gb on the load screen alone and then gradually rises. without warzones it starts a bit lower but goes up faster and crashes about the same time. So I can only assume that something is 'flooding' it unnecessarily or something. I have warzones, Asis and Automatic variants which I imagine are all adding to the issue but again I had them with the full 2k mod and water etc. and it used to run fine. What I didn't have before was the bids/flocks and stuff but I'd have thought they would have a minimal effect. So basically I'm lost. I've tried disabling warzones and using a save from before I used it and there was a minimal difference (going by running into a warzone and running into an immersive creatures group. Immersive creatures is new as well btw, not sure how demanding that is. OK so I was hoping someone would be able to let me know which mods are the most demanding, if you think this is to be expected with my mods and which mods you'd suggest I try getting rid of and why. My FPS are always around 45+ until it starts to crash so my GPU can handle it I take it. I've included my skyrim performance monitor n boss log. I've included the ini files I was using during the performance monitor run but I'm using the ones from here (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36146/?) now and they've done the same as getting rid of Warzones (reduces the ram on load but it still rises to the max). Any help would be great, Thanks.

So, I can't seem to start a New Game, after choosing that option from the menu, the game will freeze. I decided to take use Skyrim Performance Monitor, and this was the result. http://i42.tinypic.com/oanp53.jpg As you can see, there's a big drop in memory around Sample 345, and I have no idea what's causing it. The actual order of events is: Sample 1-60: Skyrim is starting, the game screen has not opened Sample 60-180: Game Screen opens, Main menu is loading Sample 180-345: Main menu finishes loading. Selecting New Game causes the gradual rise in memory useage. Sample 345- : Memory usage drops, game freezes, but does not CTD. The last time I played Skyrim was about a month ago, and I remember Skyrim taking using at least 1gb of RAM. I honestly have no idea what could be causing this. Anyone know what's wrong? My game is heavily modded, but I do not believe that is the cause. I use Mod Organizer, which keeps each Mod's files separate and puts them together into a virtual data folder when needed, and BOSS tells me I have no major conflicts. Note that although BOSS lists my total mods as 257, several of them are inactive, so I'm actually below the 255 limit. I'm not sure why BOSS is picking them up, possibly a limitation of using BOSS through Mod Organizer. Running Skyrim with no mods leads the the same issue, although I'm able to go further. http://i41.tinypic.com/s58bqd.jpg What could cause something like this? I've never run into a similar issue before. I haven't noticed this with any other program, so I'm inclined to think it happens only with Skyrim, but I'm not sure if any of my other programs require as much memory as Skyrim.

Hello there  I adore Skyrim, and I would love to play it on PC so I have full access to mods and console commands. I am looking into buying a laptop at a manageable price that is capable of playing games well. The problem is, I know next to nothing about computers. If anyone here who is knowledgeable about what requirements laptops need to play Skyrim with nice graphics, and mods smoothly, could you please help me out? Also, if you could estimate the price I am looking to be paying? Also, if you have any brand recommendations I would be happy to hear them Than you so much! -Cake, level 46 Nord

Hey guys Its been about 2 months since I got Skyrim on PC and I seem to finally have it running smoothy thanks to some programs, performance mods, and settings under SkyrimPrefs. I'll tell you even the most basic things because everyone is different and may not know how to update drivers or find reliable programs and so on. I'll show you how bad my System Specs are first. System Specs Model and Manufacturer: Dell N5050 LaptopProcessor Intel Core i3-2350M CPU @2.30GHzInstalled Memory (RAM): 4.00 GBSystem type: 64-bit Operating SystemGraphics card is a horrible Intel 3000 (best keep this in mind) Programs on my PC that help: Microsoft Security Essentials (My anti-virus)Its the most reliable and trusted anti-virus, made by Microsoft and doesnt seem to have problems like the other free anti-virus programs I have used.Advanced System Care 7 (IObit) FREE VERSIONDoes scans and fixes for your whole pc from system optimization to vulnerablility fixes and so on. (Do not COMPLETELY rely on this program to make your pc run faster, although it helps so much). Also has a turbo boost feature for gaming.Game Booster 3 (IObit) FREE VERSIONI use both boosters since they dont seem to end the same programs which I find as a good thing. A Couple things you should know Task Manager (Everyone has this) Both boosters dont fully do the trick so please end all processes that you are not using. Make sure to show all processes from users so then you can end some non essential system ones which are usually a couple of svchost ones since they take up a lot of RAM at times. Do not end all svchost processes, only the ones taking up a lot of RAM if there are any. Before you show all processes from users make sure that your own user processes with your user name do not have any processes taking up a lot of RAM. Only do this right before you are playing Skyrim.Windows Temp files You should at least once a week delete your temp files. Hold the Windows Key and press R. Type in %temp% and a file will come up. Click on a file and hold the Ctrl key and press A. Right click and Delete but make sure you skip for every message that pops up. How to Update Your Drivers You do not need a program to update and download your drivers for you. The only one Ive seen for free is an IObit one and I really do like their programs but that one is unessesary. All you need to do is go to control panel and find "Performance Information and Tools." Once you are there go to "View ways to increase your score" and now you are at a support website for your manufacturer (In my case its Dell). Then just type in the Model you have and it shows you the latest drivers for that model for you to dowload. You should know how to do the rest since there are step by step inscructions after you download each new driver. Performance Mods from Skyrim Nexus Keep in mind that you have to browse for these but these are the names of the mods. I only have Heathfire DLC so a couple of these mods are for Skyrim only without DLC, but there are other versions of the mod. Lastly these are not the only mods I have, I have many that I use to enhance or enjoy my game like ENBs, house mods, quest mods, even some non simplistic mods like TES Arena - SKyrim Frontier Fortress which has around 6-8 new cities and I barely get FPS drops or performance loss at all. Go to your Documents/Games/Skyrim and you will see it. Make sure when you finish downloading you extract files and once you do that read the read me. After everything is done right click the new SkyrimPrefs file and go to properties and make it read only, so then settings would not change when starting up Skyrim. Make sure your Nexus Mod Manager is not able to change the read only setting on the SkyrimPrefs. Here is a link to the download. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18593/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D18593&pUp=1 Lastly you need to go to your Skyrim Launcher and go to Options. Make both the Antialiasing and Anisotroptic Filtering turned off. Click Advanced. Make the first option Medium, second and third options Low, and last option None. Go to the view distance tab and move all the markers towards the left with Distant Object Detail on low. I have Object Detail Fade on I dont think that would mess with anything. Note: Keep in mind that I have an Intel 3000, if you have a newer pc but with still 4GB of RAM you can try putting the texture quality on high. I tried it myself but I was getting some FPS drops. If you dont like it you can always change the settings anyways. Before: 3-8 FPS After: 35-40 FPS Keep in mind that results vary but this was my result. I think I got everything covered and I know some of this everyone knows or should know but a couple might find those things useful. I made this because I never saw a post and tried everything when to boost my performance when I started out. I hope this can help others.

So, I use ENB of the Apocalypse, with a bunch of other Nexus Mods for my Fallout: New Vegas. Now, I know I could easily run them all if I utilize 4GB of RAM, I have 8GB available so I could definitely do that. So I have the Fallout: NV Ultimate Edition with all the DLC, so I had to run a specific line in the fallout4gb.exe shortcut I made, here it is; (under target) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas\4GB Fallout New Vegas\fnv4gb.exe" -SteamAppID 2028016 Because before it only worked for the basic edition. The problem is, when I load it up, I check task manager and it only caches up to around 950MB of RAM and then crashes when I exceed around that limit. It never reaches 4GB - it just crashes because i'm out of memory. why is this?
