So I go to reinstall a mod, and after it completes, it is no longer recognized. If I start up FO4 and click on my latest save (with the mod before the reinstall) it says the "Do you want to load this save even though the mod esp is no longer available." How can I re-enable the mod so the game/save can recognize it?

I bought the Game of the Year Edition of Oblivion on Steam a few months ago and played it vanilla for quite some time, and I've just tried to get mods working on it using a combination of NMM and manual installs. Though it doesn't matter how I install them or which mod I try, they don't show up in the data files of the launcher, or ingame. So far I've tried redownloading the game off of steam, updating NMM, and switching between different mods to see if it's a universal problem or a mod-specific one (it seems to be a problem with all mods). I'm running on Windows 8.1 pro x64. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Okay, this may or may not be a stupid question, but it's been on my mind for a while and despite my best efforts, I can't find an answer anywhere! Custom races. I've never used any, mainly because I'm so reserved on how the NPCs are going to react to my character. I'm assuming that during the mod creation, the creator of said mod(s) must choose which race is the default for an NPC recognizing you as such? For example, if I played a custom "snow elf" race, the modder could choose to make NPC's recognize you as a high elf, or other type of elf. Or if I played a specially modified Khajit based race, the NPC's would react to you as a Khajit. I've looked in the description of a few mod races I might be interested in, but I never see mention of a thing like this. (Probably because I'm the only idiot who cares xD) I was just wondering, from anyone who uses any kind of custom races, how do the NPCs react to you? One easy way, I imagine, is to simply try out the race and see what Hadvar has to say about you as a prisoner, but I didn't want to go downloading a bunch of races and testing that out just to find out that everything would see me as a nord by default or something. I already have a nord character, so I'm kind of looking to avoid any race that is seen as a nord. It may not be a huge difference in gameplay, but it's just fun to see how the NPCs react to different races, and all I've ever played so far is a nord or a redguard. Anywho, if anyone has any experience / knowhow on this matter, please let me know! Sorry for the stupid question. n_n;

So I used to run Skyrim on a virtual machine for my Mac. But then I dual-booted so I copied over the game files from my Steam folder so I didn't have to download each one individually again. Well now I'm realizing it was a bad idea to do so as I transferred the modded version. I launched Nexus Mod manager with the expectation that it would recognize the previous mods and well, it didn't... Is there any way to save this or should I just start re-installing? :/ (Note: The Steam Workshop mods are recognized but not the ones installed by Nexus Mod Manager)
