  1. Guys, I wasted a few hours on trying to find a way to replace a collision box for my scaled nif. It happened so that I just accidentally found a way to copy it really quickly without any need to delete and paste any branches and blocks and I decided that it might be useful to share as it`s really difficult to find any instructions on using NifSkope with FO4 files. NifSkope: Replacing collision in few clicks. This is a method of replacing the collision box with the help of NifSkope 2.0.0 - pre alfa 5 (earlier versions might not support this function, I did not test it with other versions). It shows an easy way to replace the collision box of your object with some vanilla collision box. You can download the latest NifSkope here. If your object has no collision at all, please scroll down to second part that shows how to add the required blocks. Finding a replacement: You need to find some in-game object that has close shape and size to your object. It can also be smaller or bigger (depends on your needs). Note that replacing the object`s collision can also change some of it`s qualities. It can make the object movable or unmovable, possibly some other parameters, depends of the data you take from another object. Open NifSkope : file - browse archive - data - fallout 4 meshes (or another archive that contains the required object). Find the required nif using the search field. Open the second window with your object( file - new window, choose your nif) Now we are finally starting to replace the collision. Copying and Replacing: In the window with the vanilla object find block named bhkNPCollisionObject, expand this block if it`s not expanded. You should be able now to see the bhkPhysicsSystem block. This is exactly what we are looking for. This block contains binary data and a string that shows some number of bytes. Right click the string and choose "export". In the popped up window choose any folder you want, click at free space and create a new txt document. Choose this document and press OK, agree to replace the document. In the window with your object find the same block (bhkPhysicsSystem). Right click on it`s binary data string, choose "import". In the popped up window find your txt document, select it and press OK. Save your file with another name (it`s always better to have a backup in case you get some unexpected result). That`s it, we have replaced your collision with the collision of another object. Notes: * The data in the text file looks unreadable and this is normal. (I wonder if there is a way to turn it into something readable that can be editted manually.) * When importing binary data the Nifskope can accept a nif file, but it won`t work this way and will crash your game. Adding a collision block to your object. I think I should also add some info on how to add a collision block for objects that have no collision at all. Step 1:Creating the required blocks If the object has no BSXFlags block (that is iusually number 1 and can be found right under the zero NiNode), you need to create this block too. In Nifskope right click the zero NiNode - Insert - Bethesda - BSXFlags. Right click the created BSXFlags block, Insert - Havok - bhkNPCollisionObject. Right click the created bhkNPCollisionObject block, Insert - Havok - bhkPhysicsSystem. Be careful when you insert new blocks, there are blocks that have very similar looking names, but they are different. Check your new blocks, there should be 3 new blocks, each block has a number before its name. These numbers should be like these: 1 for BSXFlags block , 2 for bhkNPCollisionObject and 3 for bhkPhysicsSystem). We have created the required blocks and now we will change them to make it all work together. Step 2: Adjusting the created blocks Select the BSXFlags block and look at the Integer Data string. Double click the string to set the number of flags. It`s better to take the number of flags from some similar vanilla object unless you know what number you need. For example, a wood crate has 130 flags in this block and I used this number for my object. If you click the tiny flag icon next to your value, you can see what this value actually means and what settings it changes. Make sure that havok is checked ( the collision checkbox is used instead of havok in prior nifskope versions). You can use these checkboxes instead of setting the value. In this case the value will be set automatically. Use this way if you know what settings to check. Select the zero NiNode and in the block details find the Num Extra Data List line. Click the line and set the number to 1(if it already has some number , add 1 to it). Press the refreshing sign (green arrows) next to the Extra Data List. Now you can expand the Extra Data List that has "none" data yet. Expand and change the "none" data to the number of your BSXFlags block( 1 in our case). In the same block (zero NiNode) find the Collision Object line, click it and type your collision block number ( should be 2 in our case). Select your bhkNPCollision block. Find the Target line and type the number of your NiNode(zero in our case). In the Flags line type some number of flags. You can take the number from some similar vanilla object. Most objects have number 128 in this block, so you can try using 128. In the Data line type the number of your bhkPhysicsSystem block (3 in our case). Now you can Import binary data to your Physics system block as it was described in the first part of this article. When you are done with importing the collision, save your .nif file with another name. Test it in game.
  2. Hello, I was wondering if anyone here could replace Leon with Ash Williams from the Evil Dead? Thank you
  3. Hello everybody!! I am opening this request because I searched off the entire Nexus and google for a mod that replaces the beast races of skyrim (Argonians and Khajiits). But all I found was addons of new races. And I don't have a good PC for create mods. My Idea was, if some good soul could create a replacer for those two races, based more in a human-like appearance for both genders. • For Argonians, humans with reptilian racial traits. Salamanders, chameleons, iguanas, even dragon traits would be very nice. Warpaints, scars, and tails styles could be added in the "race menu" as common or new features. Horns and feathers styles for hair and facial hairs (facial hairs for males). Variations of hand and feet claws could be a new slider bar in Argonian's creation. • For Khajiits, I thought of humans with feline racial traits. Lions, tigers, lynxes, leopards and many other wild feline breeds. The males would look like the Thundercats, but with cat ears above the line of human ears and females would look like nekos. Warpaints, scars and tails styles could be added in the "race menu" as common or new features. Ears, manes and whiskers could be modded to hair, facial hairs (facial hairs for female too). Variations of hand and feet claws could be a new slider bar in Khajiit's creation. Of course with compatibility with CBBE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2666), Better Males (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2488) and Racemenu (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29624). I wrote the descriptions the best way I could, if anyone has any questions about my idea and wants to develop it, please comment. If someone could create these mods the way I thought, it would be perfect to play Skyrim. P.S.: I don't want to copyright the idea or creation of the mod, I just want to be able to play Skyrim the way I want. P.S.2: I will try to draw some concept sketches of the models, both races and both genders. See ya all!
  4. Could some one please replace the traditional orange flame in the wearable lantern with St Trina's torch purple flame? I feel like the purple-ish color is easier on my eyes. I have no idea where to even begin to do it myself. & maybe another version with the ghostflame torch flame color as well if it is not too difficult. I think a lot of people would enjoy this mod if it was made.
  5. Hey there mod authors, and thank you so much for all the amazing stuff you create and share! Long story short - I'd like to make a song of mine (a mashup/remix of a song from Cyberpunk) a replacer for the main menu music. ~ I know there's a guide out there on how to do this for radio stations. But as I am now a father of a newborn daughter, and my wife is still recovering, I hardly even get time to play, let alone do much modding. I used to compose quite a bit of music too, though lately I rarely get to finish a mashup either. That being said - I've just about finished a great mashup of music, including "Isometric Air", one of the songs that plays on the radio in-game and at the start of the intro heist with Jackie. With it I've combined a cover of "Panic Room" (by Au/Ra) sung by a good friend (from which I have permission to share) and some other music such as from NOISIA. The song is meant to give that feeling of energetic unease, like your fight/flight reflex, and yet still be calming. It's the way I felt not knowing whether my soulmate would pull through surgery when giving birth. I'd love to share the tune here as a replacer for the main menu music, as it'd fit in well there and not affect most of the other music mods. The song isn't quite finished, and I'm still undecided on a name. I've been calling it "Presentimential" so far, but I am tempted to call it "Flatline" or something similar. Here's a link so that any of you may listen and save a copy for yourselves. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h7qeMvRYvaEZvdlbDsCkJFZpHerIkUeZ/view?usp=sharing ~ I hope you enjoy it, and if so that you're able to help me turn it into a mod. I'm happy to edit the length and other aspects if need be.
  6. hi! i've been making a new npc as an exercise in learning to mod new vegas, and i've encountered a bit of a problem. my npc uses new hair and armor models i've made and imported, and while they work perfectly running from the esp, when i convert the esp to an esm (to resolve the skin mismatch) the hair disappears completely. i haven't found a solution that doesn't either make my character bald or have weird skin. is there something im missing? thanks in advance for your help! :geek:
  7. Im really only looking for it for Mercs. Id like to have Jill over Leon since his moveset/weapons are probably closest to hers. Along with removing or replacing his grunts.
  8. I haven't found this request nor mods on nexus but I think it would be cool to replace the combat music with the main menu music. Around 1:18, when the it starts to kick in.
  9. Hi, I was thinking that maybe it would be possible to replace some armor with those from Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, if you want, among the mods for Fallout 4 you can find some (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4 /mods/55722) this is reyes' one if you want, if you want by searching iw on nexus among the fallout mods you will find almost all the mods that concern armor.
  10. Just as the title states. I edited a video to include Mumbo's Garage music when you go into the ship building menu, and it was hilarious but surprisingly fit kind of well. Somebody who's smarter than me should definitely make it into a real mod. Or maybe a mod that lets you add any mp3 into a folder and it will play that track?
  11. I can't find the texture in the file hierarchy that is responsible for the swift color (long press dodge). I've used TexMod in other games before, but it doesn't work in Hogwarts Legacy. Can you please tell me what is the name of this asset or program that will help find the texture?
  12. Replace all enemies (where possible) with standard regenerators. Because the game needs to be more nightmarish :D
  13. I now have a custom race in Creation Kit. I finally figured out that, to replace the NPC(s), I just go into the CK, find their race, and edit their skeleton and texture. Sure, I did it with a piano, so it just floats around, but I did what I wanted! I'M HAPPY!!!
  14. I have a mod (mod A) that adds armour to the game for my character or followers etc to use, however, no matter how hard i try i cannot find out how in the hell I make it so that i can use the armour from Mod A and make a mod that will replace the legions armour with that one. can someone please tell/show me what the heck i am supposed to do?
  15. I just cant seem to get the vanilla tracks to stop playing. I've converted and replaced everything there is in the music folder (besides the palette tracks - of which I'm not fully sure I understand) Yet time and time again, when I load up the game, a single track of the new replaced music plays, after which the game returns immediately to the vanilla tracks. I've scoured nexus/web now for 2 days for answers but I've come up empty - so I figured I'd make a thread as I found a few other places where people were having similar issues yet were never resolved. Anyone have any suggestions? Is this purely because of the palette tracks? Should I just replace them with empty xwm files? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
  16. I'm looking to pimp up my Arisen with Impish looking gear, and recently found the carrion mantle (body armor if I am not mistaken) pretty good looking. I play an Assassin/Strider/Ranger most of the time, however, so I am at a loss when trying to mod in the Carrion mantle into the Oblivion mantle arc file. I was hoping a more experienced modder can help me out, and the rest of the community by doing this. Thanks.
  17. I wanted to make a mod that changes the ammo of all plasma weapons to fusion cells instead of plasma cartridges but just it physically using fusion cells didn't satisfy me, so I tried to change the visual plasma cartridge in the gun to look like a fusion cell by replacing the meshes for the plasma cartridge with the ones for the fusion cell, it almost worked, but the fusion cell seems to not be in the right position, especially with anything other than the standard stock, (see screenshots below) And when I reload, the character doesn't grab the fusion cell and put in a new one. Any ideas on how to fix this? http://i.imgur.com/DEabE1h.jpg http://i.imgur.com/DLwRCKl.jpg
  18. I had a face preset mod enabled and downloaded another however I try to switch to the newer one, it goes back to the old one. Is it possible to install multiple face presets?
  19. Hi, I've never made a request before. But I was wondering if someone could make a replacement for the god awful looking tanks and apcs that are littered through out the commonwealth. Previously abandoned military vehicles in fallout have shared some real life counterpart such as the B29 in NV, the M4 tanks in Tactics or the P-80's in Fo3. I think that replacing the nameless tanks with something like the American M47 medium, M48 MBT, M41 light or even an M4 would be far better. As far as the APCs go, an M113 would do the trick just fine. The link attached were just some flaws I could point out at first glance and the replacement I think would be best, judging by the time period and technological limitations that exist in fallout's universe. http://imgur.com/a/mA7l8
  20. Forgive me for asking a question to something so simple, but its been ages since i last used the creation kit (last i used it for Skyrim) and I'm not very familiar with this new one. I want to replace a weapon in the overworld, say replace the 10mm Pistol in Vault 111 with a Pipe Gun, however i don't see how i can replace it. What i am trying is selecting the 10mm Pistol from the Cell View and attempt to edit the Base Object, but then it takes me to a menu that seems to have all the stats for the 10mm Pistol, and I'm not sure how to configure every thing out to make the pistol into a Pipe Gun. I believe i am doing this the wrong way, can someone tell me the simple and direct way to replace the gun?
  21. Hi, i'm not a newbye on this game, but i have installed only 2 Mods, the only 2 Mods i thinks was "must have". But recently i'm wondering if there is some cool replacement mods for the equipmet i use, i only want to change how it looks, not the stats. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/c2pufpe6jf7ubsq/Tempo%20Fallout%204.jpg?dl=0 If someone know about coold Mods for this pieces of armor tell me plz.
  22. I've watched tutorials on how to swap materials but most of them involve REPLACING textures. I want to (for example) make several copies of the overdue books in the creation kit and swap out each of the copies' texures/material so that when the player sees them in the game, he/she will be seeing the new texture I added as well as the vanilla overdue book. But also, when the player views it in their inventory it will still show my custom texture. I DO NOT want to replace vanilla textures. I just want to add my own. Simple, brief steps and/or an exact tutorial would be much appreciated.
  23. I'm completely green to the Creation Kit. I have a great idea for a mod, but don't know how to do it. What I want is to replace voices of bandits. I'm fairly knowledgeable about sound editing, but when it comes to modding - I'm a complete noob. The main questions I've got are: • How do I find audio files for bandits? (I mostly need the one's that are said during combat) • How can I replace subtitles for those lines? Thank you!
  24. I don't know if I'm the only one, but when I first encountered Parker Quinn (an NPC) he said exactly what Donald Trump might say were he in his shoes. This character seems like he was designed to be replaced by Donald Trump. Parker Quinn says stuff along the lines of "I'm gonna make you an offer so incredible it is impossible to refuse" if that's not Donald Trumpy I don't know what is.
  25. Hi there, I'm fairly new to modding in Fallout 4, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to replace one of the default face presets for my character or create a new default slot if that's even possible, it's a face of myself which I'm hoping to replace one of the Vanilla Default Preset numbers with my own face, if I learn how to do this I'd like to make more faces, and start making mods for Fallout 4 and I'm not sure how to go about doing it, not sure I'm even asking in the right area hope so if not my apologies. Been looking all around but haven't really gotten a clear answer. I know it can't be too hard, If anyone has the time would you be willing to spare some to assist me real quick, I used to mod Skyrim quite a bit will again in the future, and I know very little of Fallout 4's CK although I'm pretty quick at picking this stuff up, only know a bit. I'm familiar with the LooksMenu mod, and Face Ripper, I want to replace the default presets though, like say 1-15 or whatever. One of them. My main reason is I'm wanting to put my face in game for my brother and nephew in their PS4 and Xbox One versions, then the face can be uploaded here as a LooksMenu Preset for PC. How would I go about doing this, to replace one of the default ones with a custom face in Creation Kit? Please help! I know many questions often get ignored sadly on here but this information can help a lot of people that are also wondering the same, for instance google usually leads to here first and most questions have no answers. Please don't pass by and leave if you do know the answer, think of these poor people with questions as broken down cars, do you just drive by or are you gonna help give them a jump start... or a quest to help out the commonwealth. The more we all share our knowledge with others the less questions will be asked later and the better things will simply be for all of us, human life is about learning we can't progress if we never get help or answers from those that have them, so please consider stopping by to help. Thanks. ~Simdrew1993
