The idea is that it would have a percentage that you get robbed while using the fast travel mechanics, either by horse or train. you get the cutscene of fast travel by horse or train, and if the percentage hits, the cutscene will stop in the middle, the train will stop in the middle of the path to where it was going and bandits will rob the train, with you in it. you can either give money, or react. maybe the train guards will be allies or something. same thing while fast travelling, but its just you on your horse somewhere in the middle of the way that you going to. for trains i think there could also be a chance badits will rob it but not when fast travelling, in real time. like when you enter the train without buying a ticket. you just get in and sit. there would be a percentage a group of bandits would stop the train and rob it. guys think its possible to do it?

Does anyone know where I can find a fence for stolen goods...in the game that is? (lol).

Hey modders! So in my opinion, the player should be rewarded for stealing. Why not change the pickpocket skill to a robbery skill that will progress for each successful steal, weather it's by pickpocketing or simply taking an item from someone's table without getting caught. The skill tree for pickpocketing could be renamed and modified as to affect both stealing and pickpocket. The most simplest thing that I would really appreciate would be a mod that that featured pickpocket skill progression by simple stealing, similar to as how Ars Metallica added so that tanning, mining and smelting grants smithing skill progression. This way stealing will be more fun and feel more rewarding. :) Happy modding!

Playing as a thief and as a vagabond I'd like to maximize the realism with the added option of "robbing" people in Skyrim. Having immersive patrols and all these added NPC mods to add life, I find the interaction somewhat limited. This would also be really cool since I got the flintlock pistols(course I find the reload rates unrealistic so I just fire them once and switch to my sword for the rest of the fight). After prompting fights with warrior-travelers who kept calling me milk drinker and pretended that they're just resisting getting robbed, I started wishing I could do it to every NPC. To rob someone, I think it'd be proper to have your weapons out while doing it to threaten the NPCs which will give you a chat option "STAND AND DELIVER - YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE!" which if successful on intimidating them, would open up their inventory and at the same time give you access to their stuff(which will still be labelled as "Stolen") Course they're survivors and thus witnesses which would report to the guards. So, as an extra maybe it could come with cowls, masks or bandanas to hide the Dragonborn's identity? I know some mods already have them. Once again I tried searching for robbing mods but none came up. If this idea already exists please point me to it, I'd be most grateful.

Two ideas: "Your house have been robbed" is mod that gives some reality to your game. It works pretty easy : If you weren't in your house for a few days ( not hours due to the rapid passage of time ) your containers have been cleared by thiefs ( 60 or 70 percent chance - depending on your social status ). Now new problem apears : How can i protect myself from robbery ? Stay in my home forever ? Don't leave anything in home ? Rent bodyguards? Or.... ..."Lock Locks" . This mod ( which is compatible with the above modification ) gives you option to lock doors. If you don't use "Your house have been robbed" it helps you anyway : When guars chase you , you can lock yourself in your house . Guards can't get in , you are safe . Optional file : Guards won't leave doors which you close until you are inside . They will wait for you. What do you think ? Can anybody make one ( or two ) of this mods? By the way - sorry for my bad english . I'm sure there are a lot of mistakes because I'm not from English-speaking country. ( I used translator for a few times. )

THE PROBLEM The mods I've seen so far in this regard don't seem to grock at what I'm specifically aiming for. They're too...'wordy'. You don't get a sense that you're actually robbing people, just popping a dialogue box for it, and that kinda kills the 'mood'. THE REQUEST A mechanic where when you are in sneak mode and crawl up to an NPC, the option to pickpocket appears, but if you're equipped with a dagger and unsheath it, it changes to 'rob'. Upon selecting it, the 'cut throat' animation appears, but stops at the knife being placed at the throat, where a prompt would then show with appropriate dialogue options, such as demanding gold/information/surrender/etc. All would have a stat check for intimidation and failing would have the victim loose themselves and attack you, but success would allow you to grab everything you would've had to role a die for with pickpocket. After you're finished, you'd have the option to kill the victim and the kill animation would complete or release them, upon which a die roll would determine whether they run away or attack you. For further immersion (and having no clue if it's even possible), I'd recommend adding an intimidation bonus to daggers since that's all the victim will see/feel of you and the ability for items in the victims inventory to have their 'stolen' status removed depending on you're intimidate stat...or have perks devoted to it.

I would simply like to have more heistable locations like the vault in markarth. That or improve the loot gain from breaking and entering in vanilla areas. There is no incentive for role playing as a thief outside of the guild quest line and I find that kind of dull.
