So I get these odd blackening of certain textures every now and then. The textures in question are the Fair Skin Complexion textures for my characters and the textures for nordic ruins. I have edited both. I only began seeing the blackening of the nordic ruins textures after I edited them. I used BSAopt to extract the textures, edited them, then set them up as loose files. But like I said in the title, they are only occasionally black. However, if I move the camera close to the surface, the textures will be revealed, as well as some distinctive triangular lines. I believe I missed a step when editing these textures... and yes I have plenty of VRAM. I have used ordinator to drastically reduce the memory load of the textures. Included a pic show how the closer the texture is to the camera, the more it is revealed. Edit: Sometimes my character's face or their entire body goes black when I pull up racemenu, or pick up a book in game.

Hey all. I'm trying to figure out why my attempts to set up new texture paths in NifSkope wont work. I'm working on some weapons, and have set a new texture for them to use, however when they are dropped the texture just constantly changes. I am not sure why this happens, because the textures have been set up just like vanilla textures. The shader is set to 'SHADER_DEFAULT' and the extra flags are 'SF_Specular | SF_Remappable_Textures | SF_ZBuffer_Test' One thing I noticed that was different between my model and the vanilla is the filepath, the vanilla file path says 'textures\weapons\anotherfolder\texture.dds' but mine only says 'mymodfolder\mytexture.dds'. I'm wondering if this causes the problem, but don't know how to make the filepath begin with the textures folder. I really hope someone knows what's causing this and how to fix it, because it has put my current mods on hold until I can figure this out. Thanks, BayK.

I play on expert, my girlfriend plays on adept. I almost always forget to change the difficulty setting when she has been playing, and I load my own save file. So I would love it if the game would notify me of the current difficulty setting when a save file is loaded. I've been googling around, watching some tutorials, checking out the Creation Kit wiki, and reading some forums. I felt like I got some idea of what elements to incorporate ("Event OnPlayerLoadGame()" etc), but my modding skills are very basic, and I was never able to really... compile anything (literally and figuratively). If anyone could fix this, I'd appreciate it a lot! :)

I'm trying to make a class mod but I won't go into too much detail for the moment. All I want to know is if you can set spells to a Specific class instead of any class with Conjuration always getting a Summon Skeleton spell. Say, off the top of my head, one class gets a Scamp but another will get a Fire Atronach? That kind of thing? If it's unclear to you what I mean let me know, thanks in advance.

So I have been trying to have a minimal modded game to play on a laptop since Im not allways avaliable at my desktop PC. The laptop is fairly simple with Intel graphics and I did get it to work and Fallout 3 runs smoothly at 30 fps. My problem is that DarNified UI (mod I really do love) seems to be messing up. It keeps resetting the DUIF3Extras everytime I open the main menu (escape menu) Error message: DUIF3Extras Settings reset to default This keeps spamming in my console, only way to exit is to type "cam". I've tried to reinstall it, reinstall the hotfix, let BOSS handle load order, put DarNifiedUI.esp in the bottom of load order and generally get it working. Google was no help aswell, another person had this issue but DarN said he fixed it in the hotfix. Fonts and text is working pretty good, DUIF3 does not bother if I turn off DarNifiedUI.esp. The DarN F3 menu and icon in the bottom left does not show up. Ive also tried launching the game without DarNifiedUI.esp and enabling later, no dice. Im using skyrim mod organizer to reinstall all of my mods. I installed both skse and Skyui correctly, and yet skse shows that it works (ive used the command checkskseversion) and i cant access its settings in the game, and cant configure any mods using skse. skyui also shows its installed but its new ui doesnt appear. im not new to modding and i have no idea how to solve this. yes i am running skyrim using skseloader. when installing skyui with smo it also said that skse's scrips were missing, even though i installed both of them perfectly and skses scripts were in the right location. im using the latest skse version. I didnt have this problem with nmm. maybe smo isolating the mod files is causing a problem? thanks

I start new character all the time, and I hate having to reinput the settings for mods over and over at the beginning of games. Going through all my MCM menus can take well over 20 minutes alone. A mod that could save and load MCM settings at the click of a button would make things go a lot smoother.

This nonsensical happen to me since I was going to change some graphic setting in the game launcher, then all of the sudden it said missing content when I load my save and then everything from my mods are gone and they all reset like when i got my save game corrupted problem. How the HELL can this be fix, seriously, I can't go through all night typing consoles command for all of those "what were my things that I kept?! God-Knows!"

Simply put, after you have gone through Hell alongside/in support of Lady Arano or you've set off as a career mercenary, there comes a time when the Periphery is no longer your limit. There's the Inner Sphere and all that jazz, and once you've earned yourspurs you should be able to see and traverse it. I am well aware this means a significant amount of work for the poor modder that takes up the challenge; but it's fair. It's sensible. It's typical of us to carry HBS' work forward anyway.

I've hunted through the settings menus on both the Nexus Mods side and the Nexus Forums side and can't seem to locate any option to hide my Last Active / Online / Offline status when using the Forums. Is there something I'm missing? A lot of forums allow users to appear offline, browse anonymously, etc. Big thanks to anyone with an answer for me.
