Summary: I'm planning to use the following mod guides: Graphics: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76373/? Gameplay/Immersion/other: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/77928/? As well as a few others, such as new land or follower mods of personal preference. I seem to have a fairly hard time running my game modded as it is (which is just about 2/3 of the graphics list) with only about <30 fps. I would like to know if I need to upgrade my PC, how much I should upgrade, costs of said hardware, links, etc. Feel free to ask for clarification/ more information. I just really want to know what I should do before I blow unnecessary cash on new parts. So I have over 200 mods installed (include 4k textures for almost everything), and I'm also using a heavy ENB. My game runs at 15fps minimum and at 40fps maximum if I'm lucky. It drops all the way down to 5fps with +40 npcs. What's bothering me is that I've seen some people running a heavily modded 4k skyrim at 60fps with the same specs as mine  here are my specs: OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3Motherboard: ASUS Z97GPU: Two 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Monitor: 2560x1440 I've also tweaked the inis, downloaded mods such as the memory block mod and ssme.. am I doing something wrong? I don't have the best knowledge so please enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

A somewhat irritating game occurrence is the situation where followers don't stay faithful to their written gear specs. Some do, but most don't. Apparently there's some coding written into the game which causes them to switch to whatever item, for whatever reason, that has a higher rating of some kind. I've never understood it and it's often nonsense. Frex, I've given them a heavy armored fur hood to wear, and then they switch to an unarmored fur hood that they've been given as part of loot that I want them to haul around...even if they're specced for high heavy armor rating. I assume that's all due to some kind of spec coding in a mod that causes the unarmored fur hood to be more desirable...such as something in Frostfall, Wet and Cold, or what have you. I'm not a modder so I don't really know. Anyway, it kinda messes with gameplay...at least if I'm seriously roleplaying. The reality of course is that it makes no difference what kind of gear you give them. You could have them running around in a blizzard stark naked and, as long as they're essential, nothing will stop them. It's just the idea of the business that bothers me. There are character mods that don't do that, remaining faithful to their written specs no matter what you ask them to carry. Soooo, I know it can be done. This may belong in Mod Talk, so if the posting is out of place...well, that's just the way it is.

I'll be buying a new laptop soon and I would really like for it to run Skyrim awesomely. Skyrim is one of the main reasons I am purchasing it, however, I am on a budget. One caught my eye recently but I need more opinions on it, thanks in advance. I am looking to run a fully/heavily modded Skyrim. The following specs is what I plan on. Is it good enough? Will I still experience lag, worth a try? Even though I can't afford to buy something just to 'try' it. Windows 10 NH Q2SA.006Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad-core processor16GB RAM - 128GB SSD - 1TB HDD4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics Also adding this on a whim, because I may or may not be able to buy it, but saw another today with several differences for specs. Opinions/advice on this would be appreciated as well! : Windows 10 NH.Q23SA.001 + CON 152074Intel 17-7700HQ Quad Core16GB RAM - 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD6GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GTX 1060 Graphics Cheers.

Recently ive been told that i should buy an amd radeon r7 250 2gb graphics card for my desktop which really needs a graphics card. Would this gpu cause any problems in my system, and could my system handle it? Specs are: Windows 8.1 64 bit AMD A8-5500 Integrated radeon 7560 hd 8gb ram 300w power supply The only thing im really worried about is the power supply. Could my power supply handle running the radeon r7 250 2gb ddr3 without giving trouble?

Hey guys. I've been seeking to run a ENB on my Skyrim, but when I install Realvision, the game lags really hard, with an FPS of maybe 10 or 20. I have got an extensive mod list, filled with 2K and maybe a few 4K textures, as well as some script-heavy mods (I think they're script-heavy, at least). The list is here: Of the more notable graphics changing mods, I have Pure Waters, Static Mesh Improvement, RLO, Climates of Tamriel, Skyrim HD 2K, Flora Overhaul, Dynamic Snow, SkyFalls, Ruins Clutter Improved, Realistic Clouds 2K, and Enhanced Blood Textures. I have not downloaded any Lite versions of these mods, and have selected the 'normal' versions of all these mods. I do have ENBoost installed as well as Memory Logs and SSME, as well as this thing called Performance FX (which decreases graphic quality of falling snow, pine needles, etc. which I don't find very necessary to be too detailed). I have a GTX 770 and an Intel Core i5-4670K at 3.40 GHz, with 8 GB of RAM. Nothing is overclocked. I did some research online and it said that I should be running a modded Skyrim like mine with minimal effort (around 60 FPS), but I get around 40-60 usually depending on the circumstances. I'm willing to play with 40 or 30 FPS if it means I can run Skyrim with ENB. The information came from Reddit here: http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/1x892u/best_possible_specs_for_heavily_modded_skyrim/ Thanks for the help!

hey everybody, have a bit of a problem, was wondering if i could get some advice. decided i was gunna give Skyim a nice big overhaul, especially since i built myself a new computer, and decided i would put it through it's paces, i installed all the mods reccomended here http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/08/20/15-mods-that-make-skyrim-look-beautiful going with the Opethfeldt preset, and the Skyrim Distance Overhaul, and almost everything else here i felt would be nice to have, now on Vanilla Skyrim i can hit close to 100 FPS on ultra settings easy, but as soon as i turned all the mods on, the FPS tanked to about 17, plus it crashed when i entered a mine. i'm using an AMD FX 4300 3.8 GHz Quad-Core Proccessor an ATI Radeon HD 7700 with 2 GB of memory and about 8 GB of RAM now my first though was i probably need more RAM to solve the problem, seeing as i believe all my other parts are up to the task, but i figured i would come on here and get a second opinion before rushing out to buy stuff, any help would be appriciated, thank you.

Hi, I'm sure this kinda thing gets asked allot, anyway... I am looking into getting a cheap gaming laptop to play skyrim on when ever I'm away from home, I would like to know if the following specs can run skyrim on ultra with a smooth fps along with running hi res texture mods. (Skyrim 2k HD, various Hi res textures for weapons, armour, and other stuff like spells and particles.) I also run a few other mods but not many, I may also run an enb but it primarily needs to run on ultra with multiple Hi res texture mods. Thank you, in advance. PC Specs: Model: Gigabyte P15F V2 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M 2GB DDR3 graphics Processor: 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-4710MQ Processor(2.5-3.5GHz) RAM: 8GB

So my laptop has: - i7 4700mq @ 2.4ghz - 8gb ram - GeForce GTX 765m @ 1.5gb DDR3 (i think its 1.5, may be 1.25) and with this, Skyrim runs well with MANY mods installed. My issue is once I put it flora overhaul mods (i.e anything that adds more grass, trees. etc.) or an ENB, my FPS drops down to next to nothing (like 25 FPS). So my question is: if I put the GeForce GTX 880m @ 8gb DDR5, in my computer, would my FPS get back to around 50-60 with ENB and flora overhaul mods? Any help would be appreciated, as I've only been a hardcore PC gamer for around 10 months.

im playing skyrim on vanilla graphics currently and i dont mind really. I mostly download gameplay and quest mods. Anyway i wanted to try out some graphics mods too but have no idea where to start. I have a ATI radeon hd 5670 graphics card and an Intel core 2 duo e7500 processor. Im not really good at this stuff and have no idea what i could and could not run. I dont want my game to lag. Could i possibly run an ENB mod? Could i at least download hd textures??

Hi, I recently bought a new laptop and I would like to know if the specs are good to run Skyrim fully modded without any trouble or low fps. I got the Alienware 14 and here are the specs: -4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 Processor -Windows 7 Home Premium -8GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600MHz(will maybe upgrade it to 16GB) -750GB Hard Drive(to run Windows) -256GB SSD(to run Skyrim, I bought it separately and will install it myself) -NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 765M with 2GB GDDR5 I know this is a really good laptop but will it run Skyrim smoothly even with a lot of textures, meshes, ENBs and many more mods?

Hello, i recently switched to PC and i'm pretty new to this (3 days ago) I'm wondering how much could my pc handle with my specs and what i should avoid or my pc wouldn't handle on good resolution. I will list my specs below. I'm asking this here because when i try to google an answer i don't get the information relevant for my set up. Also any beginners tips to modding in general would be greatly appreciated. Hey a few days ago I downloaded Skyrim. Thinking my computer was really good I downloaded about 140 mods, character/npcs/animal models and textures city overhauls, scripts like enhanced blood, frostfall, civil war oh, etc. Basically lots of mods like those. The game was really fast and then it kept crashing minutes after character creation. I tried disabling lots of them and it still happened. Also Black desert Online on low settings keeps crashing too. Do you guys have any advice for me and what mods I can download. I factory resetted my computer and I'm re downloading vanilla Skyrim, here's my specs, thanks in advance! Hello Nexus Community! I've been afraid of posting here for a long time, but everyone seems so nice and helpful, and I'd really like some input about my computer and Skyrim setup. I'm not very computer savvy, so I have a lot of questions and would appreciate some help and suggestions. I apologize if I'm rambly, as I'm trying to be as thorough as possible. I'm having trouble with my modded Skyrim, of course. I've been playing the game for about three years and modding it for the last year and a half to two years I'd say. I have SKSE, SkyUI, ENBoost, and OneTweak installed. I use MO, LOOT, FNIS, TES5Edit, and Wrye Bash. Like anyone, I've got a handful of texture packs, but I use 1K textures whenever available. I'm also aware I have a couple of script heavy mods. I've already cut back quite a bit so I'm not sure what else I can live without. I supposedly had a gaming computer built/bought more or less specifically for Skyrim after I bought it. These are my specs. Windows 7 + Service Pack 1 Intel® Core i3 CPU 530 @ 2.93GHz 2.93GHz 16.0 G RAM NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT Are they low, medium, or high? I know I should probably definitely upgrade my graphics card but I spent my "me" money buying Minecraft the other day. *shakes fist at Gopher* My general problems are: -Crashing straight to desktop with no warning after some time of play (can be anywhere from ten minutes to an hour) -Lots of stuttering (indoors and outdoors, pretty much every few minutes of play) -Low FPS (anywhere from 10 - 30 without ENB, drops considerably with ENB enabled obviously) The game is playable if I'm patient but I feel like there's something I'm missing? Or am I just deluding myself after watching videos of others playing with mods + textures + etc and boasting 30 - 40 FPS? Do I need to seriously consider getting a new computer/graphics card/something else along those lines to improve my Skyrim/gaming experience? Active Mods Skyrim.INI SkyrimPrefs.INI SKSE.INI (I know there's another suggested line for the SKSE file, but from what I can tell it only effects war paint, and since I don't use any custom ones, it just makes the vanilla ones butt ugly. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.)

Just interested in how exactly my computer specs compare to others who also moderately mod their Skyrim game. Not exactly the most computer literate, but I feel I haven't don't too bad of a job so far with what I have gotten away with. Please feel free to give me any suggestions or tips to help improve my gameplay. Current system specs: Intel Core I-7 4710HQ @ 2.5 Ghz (TurboBoost to 3.5 Ghz by default) w/ 8GB of system RAM. Nvidia GTX 860M w/ 2GB of DDR5 RAM. I play 1600x900 resolution (believe my native is 1920x1080) It's a laptop. My Mods (random order, not the load order or install order) -Better Dynamic Snow -Brighter Torches w/ Bigger Radius -Cinematic Fire FX 2 -Cloaks of Skyrim 1-2 -Enhanced Blood Textures -Ethereal Auroras 1.0 -immersive Armors v7.1 -Immersive Weapons -JK's Skyrim -Optimized Vanilla Textures -Project Reality Climates of Tamriel -Realistic Water Two w/ Realistic Water Two- ENB textures -Real Vision 262C -Ruins Clutter Improved -Skyfall Skymills -Skygazer Moons - The Whole Skyrim HD 2K texture pack -SkyUI -Static Mesh Improvement -Supreme and Volumetric Fog -Supreme Storms -The Skyrim Distance Overall -Unofficial Skyrim Patch -Unofficial Skyrim HD texture Patch -Wet and Cold ^These are all currently updated also. I did at one time use the Skyrim Flora Overhaul Mod, but for some odd reason that was the most taxing thing to my overall FPS. It dropped it into the lower teens around 10-15 average and it was not smooth at all. I'm sure I may have just done something wrong. I have edited my ENB ini's a little bit, but nothing is below the medium quality. I just learned the value of having things installed in the proper order and having them load in the proper order! Originally all those mods ran and it brought my GPU to 90-93 degrees Celsius. Now it stays at a cool 65-69 degrees Celsius. I do OC my GPU memory clock by 500 Mhz because that brought my average FPS to stay around 30-40 depending upon where I am at. If I'm inside a building or dungeon I get almost 45FPS. Walking out in the open of Skyrim it might fall to 30-32 FPS if I'm in intensive combat. I use the V-sync within my Nvidia Control Panel because I personally have gotten a lot better results from that than ENB's in game V-sync option. I use ENB's SMAA besides FXAA. I just seem to get a pretty decent performance boost and I honestly can't tell the difference. I read in the forums that a lot of people get CTD's. I have never experienced one and when I monitor my RAM usage the highest I have ever seen it go to was around 5100MB being used and that usually occurs when I walk out of a building that leads to the open world. Sorry for the ramble of information I just wanted to see if I'm doing pretty good with my system specs and edits within my ini's. Or should I be getting better results? Any help is appreciated and Thank you to all the modders who made these fantastic mods and the Nexus community. I don't know if I could ever play Skyrim, Oblivion, or FONV in Vanilla again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ First off, I want to say that I have always been a console gamer prior to this PC, however I have always been an avid PC and Mac user. I played FO4 on PS4 with a legit level 110 character until I bought the Far Harbor DLC and the Fog was tanking my fps so badly, I decided to finally invest in a rig for PC gaming. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Specs are as Follows: Intel Quad Core i5 5600K @ 3.5 GHz - Gigabyte BIOS - OC 4.4 GHz - Watercooled Never Exceeds 50C Nvidia GTX 1070 SC 8Gb - MSI Afterburner - OC +100 MHz Core Clock /+500 MHz Memory Clock - Stable in Valley and Heaven Benchmarks indefinitely at 60fps 1080p - Max Settings - Never Exceeds 60C 24Gb Dual Channel Memory 2133MHz DDR4 - XMP Profile Enabled Gigabyte LGA1151/ Intel Z170/ DDR4/ SATA3&USB3.1/ATX Motherboard 120 GB SSD 1 Tb HDD Windows 10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ READOUT from SystemRequirementsLab.com ProcessorIntel® Core i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHzManufacturerIntelSpeed3.5 GHzNumber of Cores4 Memory RAM24 GB Video CardNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070ManufacturerNVIDIAChipsetGeForce GTX 1070Dedicated Memory8.0 GBTotal Memory8192 MBPixel Shader Version5.1Vertex Shader Version5.1Hardware T & LYesVendor ID10DEDevice1B81Plug and Play IDVEN_10DE&DEV_1B81&SUBSYS_61733842&REV_A1Driver Version21.21.13.7619 Operating SystemMicrosoft Windows 10 (build 14393), 64-bitService Pack0Size64-bit Version10.0.14393Locale0409 BIOSF4VersionAmerican Megatrends Inc. In the wasteland I get 60fps like 80% of the time. So 20% of the time I am either stuttering or transitioning between 30fps and 40-50fps. In the city I get 60fps 50% of the time and the remaining 50% I am lucky to maintain 30+fps. This problem seems to be consistent across many factors regardless of: Game settings : Low with no extra options vs ultra with the worksMods: I have done 5 complete restarts with the game and a fresh install - no mods enabled - No ENB - No Shadow Boost - No Ultra Godrays Fix - No Texture ModsINI Settings with Fallout 4 Tweaker by Bilago : Turning everything off from particle effects to no draw distance on shadows to No DoFOther games seem to run completely normal. I play Skyrim SSE modded with a consistent 60fps, but that is to be expected. I play MMO's and MOBA's with 120+fps easily. I play CSGO, Rocket League, State of Decay, and Dragon's Dogma, games with older graphics engines, with consistent fps. I run DOOM on Extreme at 144fps. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have toyed with FO4 enough to realize it has a lot to do with the height of the rendered objects (and how populated they are: Trinity Tower, Corvega Assembly Plant, etc. ) as well as the draw calls within a specific POV/FOV. I have read mulitple accounts of people getting a consistent 60fps throughout the game. My question is - Am I doing something wrong or Do these numbers make sense? Should I upgrade to an SLI configuration in order to enjoy this game and have it be visually appealing at the same time? Is there a possibility of a mod coming out that could remedy this problem or is it even possible? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Please, please, please...if there is anyone....I LOVE FALLOUT....anyone with the insight to cure me of this sickness.....I would be forever grateful :/
